I've done this loop twice now, and it is so enjoyable. Very pretty all the way around as well! Today we didn't see another person until we got back to the parking lot. Peaceful. I'll be back again!

Nice little hike , well marked , variety of terrain , spend some time exploring around the caves . 5.2 miles round trip

Markers need repainting. Beautiful gorge! Ice formations were great!

So much to see, and explore. Definitely an amazing crystal clear pond, lots of little streams, and some really cool geological features. Great for kids. I can't wait to go back in the summer.

Just hiked the trail we did 3 miles it was beautiful well marked we’d went up blue back red. Definitely coming back to do it in spring when the ground is a little softer.

Bow hunting season is November! Trail isn’t ideal in winter time due to hunting

This is an out and back trail that has evolved into a loop, there are no more red blazes after you reach the top, there is a pretty well defined path and you can follow the map on this app.
I've been living close to sea level for a while so this one left me huffing and puffing a few times, not used to climbing.

trail running

No complaints here. The trail was certainly hard just as it states. The trail was very well marked and even with 2” of snow on the ground it was still very enjoyable. I would not however, recommend this trail for a long run in the winter. The snow covered many rocks and made larger rocks very slippery. I had to hike many spots for that reason but slowing down a bit made it manageable. Good views at the top of the peaks and quite a bit of elevation. I did an out and back starting south from the starting point I got from the AllTrails directions. I finished with just over 20 miles and my gps read 4200’ of elevation gain. Definitely a workout so be prepared. Awesome trail, I will definitely be going back again in the spring.

Happy running,
Ultra Ryan

Easy walk with some moderate parts. Every enjoyable.

Great hike, the “caves” were more like GIANT boulders and really fun to explore around. It was pretty wet in a lot of places so I would recommend water resistant hiking boots. Our dog loved it too!

Nice views from tower and nearby places. One of the best places in this area. Very busy during weekends, especially packed on parking lots.

Beautiful day & hike. Views at the top. Crossed over 691 using the footbridge to start. A bit steep & rocky(white trail ?)

Nice trail for running. Really enjoyed it.

Hiked this trail many times since my teenage years and always enjoy the view from the top at 'Black Rock' esp this time of year.
Trail is moderate and can be challenging for anyone not used to steep climbs but def manageable just take your time, using a hiking pole/stick can be helpful. Total time to top from parking area inside park is 30 minutes or less.

Quiet trail. Would do again

I really enjoyed the hike, will definitely be back. Didn't find the caves but did make it to the cliffs.

Trail seems to be closed for the time being. Multiple signs at the beginning with down trees across the trail. It sounds like a great hike- just not do-able at this time

Great hike when you get to the peak. I little confusing where it loops back down. follow the white trial.

Don’t go on a weekend if you don’t like seeing other people on the trail.

Nice walk! Look for the heart tree ... you'll know which one it is when you see it!

Okay hike. No highs or lows. A good portion of path is wider than most as it runs down an old dirt road.

Great hike

Great hike to do with kids, some rock scramble, beautiful views and not too long. When the trail changes from blue markers to red they are a bit sparse (perhaps some trees that had markers on them had fallen down) so we missed a red turn and had to double back. (we took the blue trail up and the red trail down.)

definitely worth it nice up and down few wet spots but enough roots and rocks to keep your feet dry caves are pretty awesome and also saw a gray fox on the way back from the caves near the top

oh yeah, I also saw a gray fox on the way back from the caves

definitely worth it, few spots with mud and puddles but enough roots and rocks to keep your feet dry, caves are pretty awesome, highly recommended

Nice hike with area's to rock climb and a great view at the top.

A short trail but worth it. Amazing views along the cliff and the tower at the end. Worth it to go when the tower is open and you can go up to the top and get some amazing views. Underline amazing.

A good trail. I recommend it. Some up and downs but nothing too crazy. It rained the day before I went and I saw all kinds of mushrooms on the trail.
