Enjoyed it. Was more easy than moderate with exception of the big hill on backside (orange trail). Couldn’t get to he waterfall because it was across the creek and it was 30 degrees outside but could see it from a distance and hear it. Will be back in summer.

This was the most poorly maintained and marked trail I've probably ever been on. I hiked it with two others, we had a map, I hike a lot, and we got lost a ton. Maybe it would be easier to stay on the trail in the summer and spring when leaves aren't covering the ground. It was well-marked in some places, but in other places, we could not find the triangle blazes to save our life. If I had attempted the trail on my own, I would have had to turn back after a few miles due to not knowing where to go. There were TONS of huge trees down blocking the trail, which required hiking off-trail through thick brambles and other brush. It didn't seem like the trail had been maintained in years, in my opinion. They also lock the gate to the trailhead parking area at 4:30, so make sure you start early. It took our group 6 hours and 42 minutes and we were hiking fairly fast...It probably would have taken 6 hours if we hadn't gotten lost and felt like we were hiking "off-trail" for a majority of the trail. It was definitely a good work-out and challenge though. The trail should be rated "difficult" on AllTrails, not moderate, and it's 13.75 miles in length. We took the trail counter-clockwise.

Nice hike. I dont leave but 20 mins away and decided to give this one a try with my mother based on the reviews and the lake, as I love water hikes. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of trails and the decent views.

Lots of ice storm damage by the recent storm but overall very good. Would do again

Perfect length, right in the city and beautiful.

This trail definitely more rugged than others in the park. The trail is still walkable though and offers some nice scenery with rock formations, creeks, and views of the Ohio River.

good hiking. Lots of history within the old buildings that date back to the 1700's. some farm animals and lots of room.

Good trail but the markings could be a lot better!! If doing the trail counter clockwise your left hand turn is about 50 yards from the trail head!!!

nice area . paddle boating, hiking.

great place.

Paved trail that ends at a lake.

Nice trails, there's enough to explore for a good hike or a light one. The lake is peaceful, it's convenient.

Too confusing.

Beautiful, quiet & clean!

I liked this trail but in contrast this trail had some problems. One problem we had was that we could not find the trail even using this map. Neither of us could find it. Anyway, we thought it was easy. We did not get to the bridge crossings. Thank you for recommending this trail.

Well marked and nice balance of different types of terrain.

very good location from my place, good combination of hikes on the trail you can spend more time ,there doing multiple trails.

We enjoyed kayaking and then hiking to the waterfall. Very pretty. I did unknowingly get into some poison ivy so be aware that it’s along the path to the waterfall.

Easy paved trail in a beautiful setting. Well maintained with a lot of wildflowers and opportunity to see abundant wildlife. Perfect for families.

Good hike with nice shade and a few views of the Ohio river. Nice breeze and shade for a midday hike! Variety of terrain is nice.

Ran this trail today for the first time and even though it had rained the day before, the trail was very manageable with not a lot of muddy spots. Beautiful trail under a nice canopy of trees. I can highly recommend it.

It was a nice trail well maintained, easy to access. Great for a Sunday hike close to the city!!

could be a really neat trail but hilljacks on horses have brutalized it.

Easy but interesting hike with lots of little rocks passages and foot bridges to make things interesting. Some views of the valley and Harrod's creek. Passed by two swinging benches in shaded areas. Friendly passerby.

Beautiful hike with lots of good views. My dog really enjoyed playing in the river. We took the blue trail to the orange. Orange is a lot hotter with little shade but its short. My only caution is that there is a LOT of poison ivy so kids should be watched carefully!

Easier than I was expecting with lots of benches and seating. I stopped to read by the creek about half way through and still finished in about an hour and a half.
