This is a great hike. There are a couple of loops you can pick from, depending on your preference of moderate or an easy hike. There is a steady flow of water beside the trail which makes it so peaceful.

Hiked on Sunday Jan 13. Arrived late around 10:30am and parked at high school. Not much to see on the way up - it’s a well-maintained trail with some traffic but not too crowded. Great workout, definitely on the moderate side as it gets steep 1/3 of the way in. The reward at the top is worth it - beautiful views surround you and everyone is basking in the sun and enjoying the scenery. Wonderful place to relax and eat lunch. Also saw a paraglider take off! Some parts of the trail were slightly muddy or had downed trees to climb over/under, but nothing strenuous aside from the climb up.

Great view. You might even catch someone jumping off!

I'm out of shape and fit into shine heavy breathing but I enjoyed this stroll.

Love it beautiful jungleland looking hike

Great day hike! Nice and peaceful, except for the construction by the ymca but that should be done soon. Really pet friendly and almost no one on the trail! Bring water and be prepared to pack out what ever you pack in, no trailhead restrooms and one can at each side.

Hiked it this morning and the only issue was about 7-8 fallen trees from the wind storm on 1/6/19. Some of them are big enough that you can't crawl under them but you can barely go over!

The snow started about 2/3 of the way up and gets thicker and thicker, but the trail is fairly clear with just some muddy spots. Probably around 3-4 inches total once you're at the top. If you start at Issaquah High School you can see the school from the summit which is pretty great.

Only a handful of other people on the trail today!

We lucked out and didnt have any rain while we hiked, but if it did I can see a lot of spots were one might slip easily. The view from the top is totally worth it! We parked by the high school, but there is a max of 7 cars that can park there.

Fun trail with good variety and things to see. Highly recommend taking the primrose side loop!

Beautiful even in the dead of winter

Good hike, but as others say... you’ll need this app for the GPS to guide you through numerous forks in the path. Starts off as a leisurely walk and nothing physical until the loop.

Very beautiful hike. it's pretty flat. You get a feel as if you are deep into a forest.
Parking is limited so it's advisable to reach early or you may not find a spot.

Nice trail, easily found route, fun rocks, waterfall and amazing moss on the trees. Great way to start the New Year! Good for kids too...

Easy quick hike, no ice, great time. Would love to see it in summer time too

Great way to end 2018. Not crowded and weather great. Not sure what the correct distance is BUT MapmyRun said 3.07 miles OW (which made the most sense). Definitely NOT 3.8 miles or more one way. Like this longer distance alternative to the shorter steeper Chirico Trail.

Nice hike. The Talus Rocks section is pretty wild so it's sometimes hard to tell if you're on a trail. The reward was a beautiful waterfall. Try it in the wet season.

This is one of my favorite “easy” hikes in the Banff area. It isn’t complicated at any point, doesn’t have much in the way of elevation gain, and leads to some spectacular views. Make sure you have bear spray. While I’ve never seen any, I’ve been warned there is a female grizzly that likes to forage in the area, and I’ve seen multiple black bears just down the road.

Depending on the time of the year, you may need to scramble over some snow and downed trees in the initial trail, and then spend some caution crossing slippery stones in a creek about a third of the way. There is a slight rise in ground when you get to the canyon, but it’s quick and easy with stairs to help you along. Finally you descend into the valley beneath the falls, and, again, depending upon time of year, can get pretty close to the waterfall. It’s not a long hike, and definitely worth the views. What I really want to do is find the path that takes you to the tarn that’s feeding the falls, and the incredible view of the ice field beyond!

Amazing views!!

After a moderate uphill climb that got the whole family huffing, the trail flattens out and leads to a really neat and fun collection of huge boulders that the kids really enjoyed climbing around and exploring for a bit while us parents rested. Gorgeous views especially as you get higher up the hillside.

Beautiful rainy day hike. A little muddy and you definitely have to watch the map to stay on the right trail but overall a lovely loop.

Way too crowded, especially just trying to park. Views at the top are spectacular and lucky you if there are paragliders at the top. Maybe try to go on an off day to avoid lots of people.

We decided to explore out here today, starting from the Nook Trail. We made it to the rocks which looked amazing but then for some reason we felt like we veered off of the loop so we decided to return the same way instead of completing the full loop. I’ll try this one again for sure on a warmer day - we would have been more willing to explore further if it had been springtime or if we had seen more people out and about.

Easy walk with some great waterfalls along the way .

Very easy and family friendly trail with pretty views. Anyone can do this trail. It’s worth a visit.
