just beautiful...watch your ankles...but.just beautiful

SPECTACULAR trail. Fun, challenging (but not too much) and good to warm you up in the winter. Beautiful views, good climbing, and so much fun. A must do!

We did this hike during the winter, and we loved it! The rock scramble on the way up was super fun. We ended up taking the Pole Ridge Trail to Piney Branch to Hull School back down to the fire road. In all, it was about 9.5 miles. Took us 4 hours total, and the only part that required some athleticism was the rock scramble at the beginning! Nice little day trip.

Would love to go back during sunset or sunrise. Great views and quiet this time of year.

A really short hike with great views and a cool scramble.

First attended the Maple Syrup Festival at Cunningham Falls State Park, then I hiked this trail. There were nice views of the waterfalls. This was a very nice hike.

Gorgeous view of the Shenandoah Valley!!! We did it carrying a 25lbs backpack on a 30 degree weather and made it all the way to the “v” point and had a little picnic right on the top with a 360 degree view. Ready for our next trail adventure!

Went on a gorgeous early March day. Saw tons of birds and the river/canal/falls were all beautiful. Unfortunately section A was closed due to flooding, and sections B and C were fun but pretty easy. All in all a nice day!

Strenuous going up the gorge but definitely worth it. Great view of mountains at top when no foliage. Stop by family cemetery on fire road about a mile from parking lot to learn a little history. And get there early- parking is very limited.

one of my favorite places I have ever ran.

A difficult trail due to the rocky terrain. However, the views of the valley offer a great reward. One of my local favs.

Lots of uphill hiking! The views are spectacular and I loved the signs explaining the history of the area.

Great hike!

I really enjoy the trails at Manassas. Great place to take the dog on a weekend.

Very rocky trail... great workout.

Love this place. Trail was still pretty muddy which equated to a quiet peaceful hike with no one else on the trail, just me and my lab. Completed it counter clockwise this time. Beautiful canopy and nice place to reset your heart and mind.

Great hike with views all the way up and down. Good incline on way up. Somewhat rocky, nice hike with dogs

also saw a military plane/jet similar to an "osprey" fly perpendicular with the ridge line extremely low to the ground, wicked sight.

very rocky, but worth the hike to the top. Great views, have done this hike 5 times and still look forward to doing it again.

This trail is great! It’s well marked and a great workout. One of my favorites!

It's a great trail with beautiful views. It is important to know to go to the Billy goat trail you must enter from the Maryland side of the park and not Virginia side

Had a great time on this trail. Challenging climb in the beginning but worth it once you’re at the top! Plenty of historical sites & views to check out before you begin your decent. Did this in early February so it was a bit cold & windy. Would suggest folks make sure to have a windproof shell or other outer layer to stay comfortable when the wind picks up.

Gorgeous in the winter with all the icing. Very easy leisure stroll, not at all difficult.

A great hike and friendly people to meet along the way. Did run into a few snakes, but nothing to worry about if you are aware of your surroundings!

This is a nice trail with a short scramble. The second time I did it, I hung out at the scramble did some bouldering. It is a very busy trail on nice days in the afternoon.

Difficult for sure, but well worth it. Just be expecting to be sore for the next few days afterward if you aren’t in great shape.

Nice hike through the gorge to the falls. Definitely recommend to hikers in the area

The hike was vary fun and challenging, but not too hard when it came to the ups and downs.

Walking through the gorge with waterfalls and the river was pretty awesome. I hiked it backward, so the first 3 miles was walking on a fire road, which was a bit of a bummer. Would probably do the gorge as an out and back next time

easy trail. We went when in January. Ice on the falls were beautiful!
