Great trail. Wonderful views. Loved it and would definitely do it again!!

Not a long trail. Runs along rocky stream to falls. very beautiful end of trail. Finding where to start it is a bit of a trick. It looks like a private road. Must park on opposite side of 74 in small 2 car parking area. ...Walk down the dirt(rock) road past private pond on your left ...could be muddy water on track road. Keep going until you see the National Forest Marker...that's where the real trail starts. It can be tricky to see the full falls to the bottom. The main trail ends at the top. Thr cascading water to try falls was a great place to rest and enjoy the beauty. ...Trail is not marked and not a groomed. I would do it again!

Gorgeous trail, a little more taxing than what I expected. Should have brought a little more than one small bottle of water. Trails are clearly marked, and The Grotto/waterfall was gorgeous, and the waterfall was so cold and refreshing. There was no cell service the entire time, so just something to keep in mind. The round trip loop with a stop/splash at the Grotto took about 2 1/2 hours.

Great little hike downhill ... to get there. The reward is well worth the trek back up the hill.

Beautiful, great swim hole!

only complaint was that it was overgrown and chigger and tick infested but a good spray will take care of that.

the family loved this trail. it wasnt too difficult for my 7 yr old and the area is awesome.

Great trail, beautiful views. we saw several deer and lots of squirrels. Took us about 3 hrs to do the full 5 miles.

The first place to cross the river is close to the parking lot. Watch for red stripes hanging from the trees. Also, there is a tree with double white marking. Look on the opposite side of the river to see the trees with blue and white markings. After the first crossing follow the white markings. In difficult places like camping sites look for red stripes. The second river crossing is marked by red stripes and tree with double white markings.

This starts in pretty dense vegetation that rubs on your legs. Wear pants. Lots of ticks and chiggers too, so bring bug spray. Otherwise a good trail.

The entire trail is an ATV trail. Will return during leaf-off when the views will be better. Walked down the trail to the campsite where someone had left their tent unpegged and also left a bunch of garbage in the fire pit. The views, once you reach the roost, are beautiful, but not worth the atv hike in the summer. Lots of wildlife and am eager to return in the winter.

Great little hike. The beginning was a little boring but the falls were a spectacle to see. Also the cave was a little creepy as it was getting dark later in the evening.

Round trip: 3miles
Elevation gain: 846ft
Time: 1hr 5min

great trail went from north end to the falls and back, took dog with us , plenty of water and camping spots

been here once, talk about beautiful!

Beautiful trail, there are several loops for all skill levels. Take the bottom trail to the falls, you can easily walk right up to the bottom of it.

Love Richland creek, falling water and all the other falls along this beautiful creek

Any area along Richland creek offers great trails and beautiful scenery from the wooded area's to the multiple waterfalls. Falling water, Twin falls, and six fingers falls to name a few. This is a must see area if you've not been dont miss out anymore

it was a great trail did take a little bit to find the trail went off of it multiple time but was also first time out there had a blast water was kind of low went July 15 2018 going back this weekend right after a rain august 11th 2018 will report when I return.

Beautiful trail.Very easy, yet enjoyable for all skill levels. I did this after a pretty heavy downpour and the trail wasn't slick or dangerous. Great trail for the summer when you want to jump in the water for a quick cool down then hop right back on the trail and keep going.

Great trail but a little overgrown.

Beautiful views at Spy Rock and a fairly easy trail. Unfortunately all the waterfalls and creeks were completely dry, it being August, so we didn't get to enjoy the beauty of the trail to its fullest. We will have to try this one again when it's less dry.

The views were simply amazing. Waterfalls, caves, wildlife ❤️

Fun little hike for the family, the kids spent hours climbing the rocks and we got some good pictures

The view is nice, but getting there is something else. The gravel road up to the trail is in poor condition. There were some rocky trenches in the road making it inaccessible to some vehicles. There is currently no parking area. There are a couple giant piles of gravel on each side of the road, one before and one after the trail. The trailhead is not distinguishable by vehicle. Just park near the trailhead (GPS) and locate on foot. Most of the path is also becoming overgrown with poison ivy, which may be a problem for some. I think taking the rest of the trail up there would have been better. I prefer hiking up difficult and rocky inclines over driving up them.

Returned with a troop of scouts and did the trail.

Good trail approx. 4mi around. Rickety chain and wood suspension bridge. Plenty of great photo opts along the creek. Falls dry this time of year. Some light bouldering. Lake just off the trail. Nice places to swim water nice and refreshingly cold this time of year. I’d do this trail again in the spring or fall to get the waterfalls experience.

Nice easy hike. Good trail to start your hiking season on.

One of my favorites to hike. I start at the Little Missouri Falls rec area parking lot, and walk down to the falls. The falls tends to be busy on the weekends, and differs on appearance depending on whether the water is up or not. Either way, it's gorgeous scenery. You basically follow the river from there. Its easy to moderate, and great for beginners or people who want to do a light trek in the forest. Highly recommend!

Did this hike last fall before I was a member.. cooler weather was definitely a plus, loved the hike. Great smells, cool breezes, fall colors in swing.

Lots of fun crevices to explore. Great for the whole family.
