Lost Valley is temporarily closed for construction til first of March 2019. check Buffalo River's website before going.

Finding trail is difficult. No sign with trail name. Someone wrote the trail name with a marker.

Super nice hike from bathhouse row up to sunset trail and back. Very peaceful once you are on the opposite ridge...no more city noise. Some fantastic grades...nice and long too! Could get in some nice running on some sections. Lunched perched on Balance Rock...clear and bright sky, perfect temp, nice wind.....very cathartic. It’s a great way to spend a relaxing day on the trail and be back to the hotel for dinner!

So here's the thing. If there has been enough rain to make the falls strong, the trail will be very slick. If the trail is good and dry, well, you probably won't be impressed by the falls. Definitely best after a 2-3 day spell of rain. Oh, if you can't find the falls? Try following the flowing water. You might turn back too soon, but you durn sure won't go past and not notice.

Thank you, Tim and Pam Ernst, for bringing this wonderful place to our attention. Not totally sure I'd have shared it, myself.

Great trail with great views! Have to watch for the markings to get to the second waterfall, but overall an easy trail!

Love this place! Can’t wait to go back!

Went a few weeks ago. The water at the creek crossings was up to the knee and the water was cold! Definitely bring something to dry off with. Beautiful well marked trail. Can’t wait to go back in the summer!

Breathtaking trail!

Lots of cool sites along this trail. Grotto is a must, really nice area.

Beautiful hike! Fantastic lookout points, fallen trees, bluffs, and rock formations which provide a true AR backdrop for a photo shoot. The old homestead is another attraction. Very nice visitor's welcome center.

Great trail, we went after a rain so plenty of water!

The attached map does not show you the bushwacking route to get to the different waterfalls. The waterfalls are nice. im sure there is any easier way to get to all the landmark sites. I would allow yourself plenty of time to find your way to all the waterfalls and to finish the loop. It's a rugged good time if you dont know your way around.

Great short hike with two amazing caves and two great waterfalls. Can’t beat it for a short easy hike!

Such a gorgeous hiking trail. definitely my all time favorite

Really nice trail. The half mile round trip spur to the grotto is worth it. Signage is good enough to follow. Lots to look at on the trail, although the rocks can be a little treacherous when they get wet. Probably great colors in fall. Parking is limited, but wasn't an issue on a Saturday morning in December.

Beautiful hike and wonderful waterfalls

amazing. right after a storm and there were three falls going. the Twins to the left and another smaller but very pretty one to the right.

Water was flowing good after last nights storm. Limited parking and a guy with a horse trailer parked in such a manner that he took up the whole parking area. We were able to park about 25 yards down along the tree line. This is a short easy walk but what a payoff!! The gravel road down was not an issue. I have an AWD Ford Edge but watched a car make it as well so shouldn’t be an issue for anyone.

Road in there was a straight downhill wouldn’t want to travel it after a rain you would have a horrible time. The parking area and trail was very clean and it was very close to walk to the falls.

What a great place. Parking was clean the picnic area too. The trails were moderate the caves were big and the bridge was a beautiful sight.

Great trail, the stones were like a maze in and out here and there. It was fun.

You can drive up red bluff road and go park right above the cave if you aren’t up to hiking all the way around. You will be about 10 minutes from the cave. It is a beautiful sight to see and walk around

The campground here an parking was a very clean an nice place. The hike to the falls was easy as soon as you figured out where to begin. They are doing some logging above the trails an the flagging is for them. Park an walk towards camping spot 14 and you will be at the beginning of the trail.

Took the .5 mile trail from Mathers Lodge to Bear Cave Trail. Easy to navigate. Interesting rock formations
that you can scurry up on if your relatively nimble. Good easy trail for kids and adults alike.

Excellent family hike with kids. If it's hot, there's a great swimming hole.
