Thanks to all the snow shoers, we were able to make it just with microspikes! Gorgeous hike, beautiful view at the top. Plus our dog loved it ❤️

really nice 37°day, brought a lot with us preparing for quite a hike. it was really fun and nice to get out. definatley going back, the top is just beautiful.

My 8 year old son and I LOVED this hike!

I hiked the trail yesterday. I thought the snow'd made it easy to hike. Definitely worth it, let alone the spectacular view at the summit.

Great short family hike with amazing views and water attractions on the route. Best value hike in the white mountains.

Great hike! A little dicey this time of year without good footwear bc of all the ice on the ground. But all in all it was quick and easy with great views.

Parked in the cannon parking lot and hiked the loop counterclockwise. The way up to the viewpoint was not nearly as icey as the way down.

I have hiked this trail during the summer months and this trail in the winter is so smooth and the snow leads to an ease of hiking (no loose rocks to fuse about).
The trail still has plenty of snow on it. Microspikes and Poles worked best today, but I did see hikers with snowshoes (some in hand) and plain hiking boots.
There were some downed tree but easy to navigate around.

Water crossings are not frozen. Be prepared. Otherwise fantastic hike.

Perfect for a short, fun, challenging hike with amazing views at the top. Some rock scrambling and icy parts but so worth the view!

Beautiful - did three loops if it. Well maintained.

Fun trail, beginning is super easy. Gorgeous views

Great short hike for the view! Takes about an hour or less to get to the summit. The snow was packed and very easy to walk on, no need for snow shoes or spikes. Our dog loved running freely and as always, all the hikers we met were super nice :)

What a fun little hike in the White Mountains! At the top, it’s pretty windy, but the view is gorgeous and there are a bunch of spots you can look out at. On the way up, there’s a small waterfall which was really pretty to see. No need for hiking boots if it’s not muddy. Perfectly fine in sneakers! If you’re looking for a good hike with a gorgeous view in the White Mountains, this is the place to be!

We’ve explored a lot of New Hampshire these last few years, but I have to say, today was probably my absolute favorite hike. I love winter hiking even more than spring, summer or fall. What I took in with my senses today I will cherish forever. BTW...super short hike with multiple viewing spots. Bald mountain summit was a bit scary, but Artist Bluff a piece of cake. Tyler didn’t make it all the way up. But, with a lot of determination I did!! Yay!! (We both have tremendous fear of heights).

lovely autumn hike. currently a beaver dam prevents passage via loop, unless you've got waders on, but still a great hike.

Nice hike. Get more view for the “work” you have to do.

Very nice, clean trail. Pretty level train, nice overlooks into the marshes. No charge to park but on a busy day, I imagine there would be a wait to park!

Nice, very quick easy to moderate climb. Nice views of the lakes. Would be a great climb with small children.

One of the best short hikes in the Whites. The view at the end is unreal and almost looks like you're in a different part of the world. Poles would have helped coming down.

Just an FYI you have to drive through the cemetery to park at the trail head. The right side of the trail is flooded due to beaver activity but the rest of the trail is still very pretty. It’s a nice little walk in the woods.

Great trails and very clean! ☆☆☆☆☆

Easy, well maintained trail. They have some nice educational posts about the surrounding marshes and estuaries. I went on a weekday and it was still moderately busy, I imagine on weekends it gets crowded.

It is pleasant hike with no surprises. Rocky path most of the way which I don’t like too much. The view is good but not great. But the trail head is at the beautiful train station, and 5 miles away from the Great Mt Washington Hotel , or other name now: so worth the trip.

Awesome hike! Did this today with a family of 4 and my
6 month old golden retriever. Definitely a moderate trail for beginners, easy for more experienced hikers. Great views at the top. Dog friendly for sure.

Pretty steep initally for about 10 to 15 minutes then it becomes a nice moderate incline. Quick hike. took me about half an hour to get to the top. Beauitful views. Lots of cool mushrooms around. Worth it.

Climbed this trail this morning, great views over Crawford Notch. Met a lot of nice people of all ages and several well behaved dogs. Afterwards we drove down to Willey House and walked the Saco River Trail (3.2 miles each way - unfortunately not yet on Alltrails database). Great day out in the Notch.

Easy hike and great view

One of the easiest hikes I have ever done. Not much to see during the hike in terms of views, but amazing view at the top. Requires around an hour each way, so can get really crowded.
