This trail was a great surprise. Secluded & scenic. Hiked with my dog this time, but can’t wait to come back for a run.

Fun, not too crowded/ busy. I went in the Fall and got caught in the rain twice, but found shelter and didn't slip too much afterward. Moderate hike, with some challenging points, especially if you explore off the trails a bit. Stairs were a good workout! Views were incredible.

Two options. My pup and I will start with the Ansel Cave trail because it’s shorter and some decent hills and terrain. Then we will end with the long Pioneer Bridle trail. Loooveee the trail, but hate how about 30% of it is either right next to the road or in someone’s very expensive backyard. Decent hills and pretty surroundings.

Long trail, but overall very nice and secluded. Signs can get confusing. Lots of different environments that you get to experience and walk through. A few pretty waterfalls. My pup and I take a nice nap after this trail. I uploaded a photo that is either at the beginning or the end depending on where you start.

not a difficult trail, nice views probly better when it's nicer out

This one quickly jumped to the top of our favorites list. We loved that within a few minutes of being out of the car we were already exploring caves. Really great trail!

Pretty easy trail. Cool scenery. The waterfall is better than a lot of others I’ve seen in this area. Pretty muddy in November but still cool.

Nice easy trail that took 2 hours leisurely walk.
Only seen one other hiker and unfortunately a group of loud mouth cross fitters I could hear coming a mile away chasing away any wildlife that was to be seen.

Fun for the kids. They really liked the trail and climbing around the water. Not too difficult for our 2 and 5 year old but fun for us all.

Great views of river on a fairly easy trail

great trail and fun place to explore.

Love the scenic view, great hike/workout!

Well marked trail to two great waterfalls. We went after a heavy rain and they were flowing! Expect to get your shoes a bit wet if its been raining crossing the stream. Dog friendly and they loved it! Partially paved to Blue Hen falls which is only about .25 miles from parking.

Affelder link is a must to see an awesome waterfall.

Of all of Cuyahoga Valley, this is one of my favorites ... the blue hen falls is a 5 minute walk from the parking lot and is not difficult ; to get to buttermilk is a more strenuous hike as its more of a natural path.

Great trail for a quick hike and the firetower was fun.

Great hike! Easily one of our top favorites in CVNP. A must see!!

What a cool area! The small section of the trail with all of the carvings in the ledges is amazing. Definitely worth a visit. It’s like a mini version of the ledges trail in Cuyahoga or some sections of Hocking Hills. It is very small though. And the rest of the trail simply resembles a normal hike with small rolling hills. Would love to visit again.

beautiful views and good workout

Nice, well maintained trail. Especially enjoyed the trail at Ansel’s Cave, very scenic and pretty.

Fun trail! Very confusing to get to the falls but hike back was super easy! You do cross the creek and can be slippery, highly recommend waterproof hiking boots with great traction.

Awesome trail, however, I recommend going counter-clockwise. We started the trail clockwise and reached the overlook fairly quickly. In my opinion, this was easily the biggest payoff and would have been best reserved for last. Also, once you pass the second bridge, the path can get somewhat confusing to follow as it intersects with a separate trail and isn't clearly defined. We ended up following this trail a bit until eventually running back into the white diamonds that mark the Minister Creek Trail. Overall still a great time!

I enjoyed this route. we ended up hiking down the stream most of the way and made this a loop by finding a rdige trail that met up with the buckeye trail to get back to blue hen. was a lovely hike.

Easy hike! Great for an afternoon away!

One of the steepest hikes I’ve done in my lifetime! Very beautiful views from the top. Keep pushing yourself forward and you’ll be rewarded!
