A well spent day. Added a couple of side loops (intentionally). Weather was cold and drizzling but trail was in good condition.

Great way to start the day, made it up in time to watch the sunrise.

Quite the workout during the last 1/4 way up. Busy trail with lots of people, but trail is wide most of the way so you aren't likely to be stuck behind someone very long. Beautiful Vista views from the top.

Beautiful hike at the beginning of December. It was hard to follow the trail in a couple of places because the trail was blanketed with wet leaves

Enjoyed it. Was more easy than moderate with exception of the big hill on backside (orange trail). Couldn’t get to he waterfall because it was across the creek and it was 30 degrees outside but could see it from a distance and hear it. Will be back in summer.

Beautiful views throughout. Lots of climbing. We had a blanket of snow so it looked extra magical. Took us just under 2 hours. Great views up top.

cant believe i didn't rate this trail after hike . musta been exhausting lol. Well this is worth the hype!! going back soon! i seen ladies beetin feet up like warrior's! hike in summer unless you like crisp mist

great trail but not clearly marked.

Good trail and nice views. The white trail is over grown with brush.

nice short hike but very crowded. you have to deal with people with no manners on trail.

A nice moderate trail to hike. The loop cannot be completed due to partial closure of the trail but an out and back hike to the falls is a nice hike. Segments of the trail have rocks and roots but I met quite a few trail runners on it.

Hidden gem in a humdrum city life.

Great hike, not too tough, well marked. Great waterfall

Even if the trail is easy to moderate and not much of a challenge, you get to stop and enjoy many wonderful views throughout the trail.

Very unique hike! The rocks can be pretty slippery in spots so wear good shoes. Saw two other people on today’s winter hike. We completed it just under 3.5 hours with a quick lunch.

We do this trail at least once a month.

I walked the Red Route and enjoyed it. Lots if up and downs giving you a better workout the flat trails. I used walking poles and recommend using them

This is very close to home and a beautiful loop delivering serenity and beauty. It is very easy with mostly level trails.

beautiful trail. everything about it was perfect.

Simply Beautiful. Don’t miss it

Wife and I hiked this one last Sunday and we will return. The sign at the trailhead says the trail is strenuous, but it is moderate at most so don't be deterred. I'm 69 and not in the greatest shape and I made it just fine. Lots of flow due to the recent rain and temps in the 60's so it was a great day to be on this trail.

This is a great trail every time. Crowded, but beautiful and a good workout.

Excellent workout. Not for dogs, small children, or a novice...your legs will be sore in the morning.. You will have to climb over large rocks/boulders. Great views. Lots of people. Wear proper shoes or boots. There is a place to eat and rest rooms.
Highly recommend.

One of the better trails/parks in West Michigan. Trails seem to be well marked. I like the variation that the hills bring to the park. West Michigan is a pretty flat place so its nice to hike/walk in area where you have to do a little work.

Nice trail, little wet after it rained the day before. Could be marked a bit better. Make sure you bring your GPS and the app along for the walk. Scenery was nice and good for a family.

We first hiked up to Clingmans Dome and from there to Andrews Bald. About 5 miles round trip. We were already tired by the time we got to the Andrews Bald trailhead from coming down all the rocks along the trail then going up up up then down then up. Lol Next time I would just start at the Andrews bald trail head from the parking lot. The scenery at the top of Andrews bald was just as beautiful as the one from the parking lot or from Clingmans Dome. But it was a beautiful hike.

Absolutely gorgeous falls. A hidden gem! Far bigger than I expected, and in a gorgeous clearing. Granted it had just rained a lot, so the falls were probably bigger than in dry seasons. Easy to get behind the falls and up on top. The trail is just vague paths made by other people. Be prepared to get your feet wet, you cross the creek 10 or so times depending on which paths you take. It's too deep to avoid wet boots! But very worth it.

From the parking, go past the one lane Bridge, past the bathroom, and down the road 50 steps or so to the right is the trailhead. If you follow the creek, you can't miss the falls. There are many paths, my advice is to take the most straightforward one, even if you have to cross the creek. Your feet are gonna get wet no matter what, and you come to a lot of dead ends if you don't follow the creek closely. Gorgeous hike, not very strenuous. A little over a mile and a half one way.

Completed this trail along with the named loop. Hiked a total of 3.5 miles.

Logged 3.5 miles from the Upper to the Lower Parking areas. Very nice views along this loop. The Appalachian Trail was very icy in spots.

Logged 5.5 miles on this hike which included hiking to the top of Dark Hollow Falls and exploring around the Rose River Falls. Nice little loop!
