Always a great, easy walk but no dogs allowed.

Lake, Mountain View’s, beach, river, historic mill and railroad features with placards showing historic pics. The trailhead and public bathrooms are right in Wolfeboro town. Stop there for lunch after. Wow

Nice river walk, payoff is nice with a closed in pond and waterfall

What a nice place to hike. I was surprised by the abundance of different mushrooms in that forest. They grow in many colors and different sizes.
Luckily we used bug repellent so the mosquitoes didn't bother us too much.

My wife and I enjoyed the views along this trail. it is beautifully maintained. However the trail has been expanded and now covers the distance from Wolfeboro, NH to Wakefield, NH; a distance of 12 miles. We started at the trailhead at the old historic Depot in Wolfsboro which also houses the Chamber of Commerce. There is plenty of parking at this location. Our only caution is to use extreme care when crossing the rails with the bikes as the bike tires slide easily making a large potential for injuries. Have fun it is a gorgeous ride.

Caution: trail floods after a rain. Other than that this was a very nice, fairly easy trail.

Fantastic! Easy to find with plenty of parking. All of the trails are clearly marked and even though it’s “1.6” miles you can easily make it longer adding more trails. We did 2.6 with the kids. Very kid friendly

Nice trail perfect for dog walking... was raining and still had some cover from the trees.

beautiful trail, I wish it was slightly better marked but fantastically kept. bugs are out and it was swampy but fun

A nice trail to walk and to take a swim. It is quite scenic but it is hard to find much wildlife due to the crowd. The visitor center is really nice and don't miss Henry David Thoreau's hut.

Bring bird seed to feed the birds. we saw many people hand feeding the birds. Great place for families. All kids should check out the Rockery Loop. Picnic tables for lunch.

great hike, waterfalls where really nice. We had recently got rain so they had a nice amount of water. Varied terrain, ups, downs, rocks and roots.

This is one of those spots I would gladly head to over and over again with kids of any age! Equally great for adults who love hiking with plenty of loop options and interesting waypoints (my favorite were the pond loop and observation tower).

I would agree with other reviews that while you need have a little bit of patience, if you have sunflower seeds the chickadees will be eating right out of your hand… we also spotted loads of turtles, and a faun as well as other local wildlife! I was hiking with kids aged 6, 8, and 14. We got about 2.2 miles in and spent about an hour and a half hiking. Bring bug spray and be tick-savvy.... we had to pull a couple despite being careful.

Everybody loved this hike! We’ll be back for sure!

Great hike...great look at the lakes

Took a large group of ~13 year olds and the trek for that big of a group I wouldn't say is worth it. It is better for personal hikes.

Not maintained paths off trails not marked past waterfall a joke

It was cool to see all the bunkers but the bugs were literally out of control. I would recommend going when some bugs have died for the season...

Very well marked trail, quick and easy hike. I hiked it with a pulled Achilles and it didn’t irritate my calf any further. We started b 8am with 70+ degree weather which was nice. LOTS of blueberries at the top!

Super easy trail and very well marked for the green trail, Great views from the top, you can see the chairlift at the top of Gunstock from the firetower. Very good trail for dogs!

easy, peaceful walk

awesome. you follow the water the entire way practically. the falls are gorgeous. Trail markers tend to be far apart. I didn't bring my phone to track my route and i definitely regretted it. I got confused a couple times and had to backtrack find the last trail marker and get back on route. I'll definitely be back time and time again. great find.

Easy walk and the Waterfall was nice.

This place is beautiful and peaceful. Lots of bugs! Bring bug spray.

Awesome trail for all ages and abilities. Great views as well, but not really a hike more of a walk.

this place sucked. i hated the trail it was weird to me. you can hear the highway and main road too much. i wouldn't suggest this trail at all.

This is a great trail for running, hiking, and provides the chance to see some wildlife. Some of the trails which branch off of the north side of the indicated loop are pretty unkempt, and often dead-end after becoming pretty rocky/less ideal for hiking and running.
