Hiked this with our 3 kids (ages 6, 11 and 13) and had a great time. Views of South Sister, Broken Top and Middle Sister at the top were spectacular! Highly recommend for a family hike!

Excellent hike! Great views of the Cascades! Forest at the beginning, open ski run for part of the middle, eventually getting to some volcanic rock towards the top.

totally awesome. totally kicked my butt. super windy and cold at the top if you go before noon so bring a layer. loved it!!! has everything--forest, desert, and fun rock scramble. took me 2.5 hours.

Hiked from Gravel Springs to see the overlooks on the Appalachian Trail.

Not a big fan of this one. This felt like a long walk in the woods. The woods are beautiful, but there is no “real” overlook. I did not get the sense of a “summit”. Lastly, Cunningham Falls was a little disappointing. I expected more. Plus, the fact that the falls is not technically part of the hike(it has its own parking lot) took away some of the experience to me.

Starts off pretty moderate but gets tougher once you're past the top of Sunrise. It's also all exposed after then, so pack some sunscreen. There are some loose rocks and soft dirt towards the top, but it's all manageable. The views are stunning and totally worth it!

A straight up stellar hike. Worth the climb for the view.

Nice hike from skyline drive to creek and back with my two labs

Short hike for spectacular views! Worth staying for sunset but it gets windy and cold up top!

My family and I hiked this trail Friday July 27th. The hike up was stunning with all the waterfalls. When we got to the junction to head back the map didn’t show how to cross the creek. My wife and oldest daughter forged the creek while my youngest and I went up stream and crossed on some downed trees staying dry. I would agree with another reviewer that an in and out hike is better than the loop. The second half is less scenic, more narrow and sunny. Over all I highly recommend the hike!

Well groomed trail, made for easy going. Fantastic views of the Sisters and Broken Top and in late July there were still wildflowers and butterflies to enjoy.

Fantastic trail! Well marked and challenging but worth the views.

Really nice hike with tons of waterfalls to be seen. The map here is extremely accurate and really helped to have it downloaded. Several waterfalls are accessible but the water is super chilly. The 1st half to the Bridge Creek crossing ( ford the creek) is well shaded. The 2nd half is mostly in open pine, sun exposed and lacks a bit of scenery. Great trail but I might suggest doing and out and back from the fall to Bridge Creek crossing.

This is a great trail! There are a couple of creek crossings in the first half mile of the trail, so make sure to wear shoes you can get wet if the water is flowing from recent rains. The steep climb at the beginning is difficult, but not too bad if you hike frequently.

Once you get to the ridge, make sure you take a left before you go over the tiny stone bridge (it's more like a rectangular rock laid over two smaller rocks that is marked "AT"). If you cross this bridge and pass the Pogo Shelter, you're heading South toward Black Rock. You want to be heading north instead.

This section of the AT is fairly flat at first and then gets super rocky with larger boulders that make up the trial. On 7/29/18 there was a huge blowdown from the recent storms that prevented passage past mile 3.5 of this trail. You could potentially bushwack around it, but after already taking the AT South for two miles to check out Black Rock, we decided just to turn around at the blowdown.

Didn't see too many people early on a Sunday morning on the hike in, but saw more people on the hike out late-morning/noon. The parking lot is pretty small, so get there early!

Great trail system. Part of my cycle of trails that I hike often

Great hike with great views, and a nice break from summer temps up top.

This is an absolutely amazing hike especially if you like waterfalls. It can be as easy or challenging as you want it to be depending on your pace. The trail is in great shape all the way. If you are doing the full loop, the 1st half is much better than the looped way back. If I do it again I’d just go up and back the same way.

Excellent hike that isn't too challenging, but will give you a good workout. Spectacular views all around the top. The trail is basically all uphill to the top and, of course, all downhill hiking back to the beginning. There was a fair amount of traffic for a Friday morning, but we had the top to ourselves for ten minutes. Temperature was nice, and the light breeze felt great. There weren't too many bugs.

Love these trails! A bit of everything...wide pine needle paths, narrow roots/rock single track, grassy hills. All with great wildlife and lakeside views.

As always - a good hike with great views. Glissaded down about 1000 feet. So fun. Total time 5h.

Tumalo Mountain is a popular hike in Central Oregon with fantastic views from the top!

It was good not that great. but you will have couple of good views up there. for me its good experience because i climbed rock which is little bit challenging.

I'm 15 and come from SC, so I'm not very skilled in hiking. But this trail was fantastic and had it's tough moments, but the views were worth it!!

This an amazing hike for views considering it is only 2 miles in. I can't tell you how many years I drove by this hike on to others, oblivious to its existence. You see, there isn't a sign along the highway, so it's easy to pass up. This is my second time up the mountain, and it was awesome. I think it somehow got better since last time, or my memory fades (probably the latter). Perhaps it was because I went late in the day when the shadows were long, and the clouds were epic. Crazy beautiful up close and personal view of many major mountains in Central Oregon. It's well worth the bit of effort to get to the top.

Great hike. Views were worth the pain!

Great trail if you love waterfalls - in the end I forgot to count how many I saw.

I thought this trail was incredible there was a lot of different scenery. First part is mostly all uphill. Just past the halfway point the trail is hard to find. You can cross over a fallen tree and get onto the trail there. Do early to avoid crowds.

Beautiful trail . 3 waterfalls in the first mile. Shady Forrest most of the way. Very few hikers. Great views of the river and waterfalls.

In the winter we hiked the road which was closed. In the summer went from Skyliner to Happy Valley and back. Beautiful in any season!

Very beautiful hike. Was a little tricky keeping on trail do to snow cover in some parts but it was still well worth the trip. Make sure to have camera ready because there are so many beautiful sights to record.
