Absolute breathtaking hike! Quite a challenge with most of this hike being rocky slopes. I like to do this backwards where you hike to the falls vs. seeing the falls first. Wear shoes with good grip and slip resistant. Get there early as it gets crowded, and dont forget your cameras!!!!

We nailed it and went during the worst weather ever! but this trail is sheltered somewhat and the rain/fog didn't effect us much! Made the colors pop in our pictures too :) Eat at the Rickett's Glenn Hotel...YUMMO! Get the potato thing - it was delicious!

This is not easy. Wasn’t for me anyways. Was fun though

the 'upper' South trail is well cropped providing a large path, while the 'lower' South trail is not. i pulled about 20-30 ticks off of my pants today. not exaggerating either. ugh. love the upper trails though, great hiking prep for the AT.

Traction needed for much of the hike on the way up. The hike on the way up was very scenic along waterfalls, the hike down was incredibly boring logging path with no views and very wet.

with the recent snow and rain the falls looked great, just made for a very slippery, muddy and sometimes treacherous hike on the rocks. took the scenic route as well. went up past the falls, crossed on some dry rocks and went back down the other side. was a fun time.

This trail was fairly easy to navigate and so much histor!

In Aug 2016, we camped here with our family of ten and hiked over 15 mi in this park. The waterfall trail is amazing. Steep. Slippery. And gorgeous.

Nice little trail even for winter . Super easy. The concept is awesome. We will return in spring for sure. Seems like it would be a great place for us to take our kids.

Definitely not for beginners but an amazing trail nonetheless with beautiful views.

This trail is very easy it is about a mile down to the falls. I recommend bringing water because you could be at the falls for a while. I recommend this trail for all ages because kids like to play in the creek near the falls. If you come in the summer you can go swimming. Over all this is a great trail and the falls are beautiful.

my wife and I hike this trail a lot, mostly on the winter. Hardly used in winter but can get real busy in spring and summer . Best part of this trail is I can be on it in minutes because it's barely a 100 yard from my house.

Great hike

Fun short trail, waterfall near the end that you can jump off of and swim in.

Pretty short hike with 3 waterfalls. Very well marked and maintained.

awesome in the snow

I went on 1.27.18 and the ice was starting to melt. Challenging but beautiful hike. when you get to the trail head stay to the left because you get a better view of the falls

I loved this hike. It rivals my hikes in the grand canyon of Pa. Highly advise that you take the loop trail clockwise. This is a better way to see the falls and it is safer to fall going up if you slip. We went yesterday before it warmed up (28 degrees) and had to use traction spikes in certain areas. I would recommend waiting til warmer temps, but if you do it in the winter where there is ice be very careful!

Loved this trail! There was several points with some breath taking views. It involved a lot of moving around rocks and some climbing which I liked. Absolutely beautiful!

challenging and beautiful falls view entire way.

Amazing in winter time, great view of the stream and falls

Very challenging hike, winter time there was so much ice on the trail we kept slipping and falling. Wear good hiking boots with traction on the bottom. We hiked the entire loop, so at the beginning of the trail we took a right. It was super steep and tough. When we got to the ridge line it put us on top of the falls then we worked our way down from there stopping at each of the different fall sites. Hard hike but definitely worth it, beautiful!!

Super fun and scenic hike with waterfalls all the way up! I would rate this more as a medium difficulty rather than hard. I went in mid-April last year which was perfect weather. Would recommend going around this time.

Short, easy and scenic !

can you safely take this hike without crampons?
