I have been here a few times now and really enjoy scenery. When the creek is full, it’s absolutely stunning and I love to walk through it post hike! An amazing cool down. The waterfall is beautiful and not too difficult to get to. I highly recommend!

i was skeptical at the beginning that I could make it to the top since it was my first time hiking long distance. but I made it. I was so happy. the view was awesome and the weather up there is always cool in the summer.

Wish I could take my pups

excellent backpacking hike!

It has been said that it changed its beauty due to the trash and graffiti. But we still saw how amazing it was getting there. We did a short video of our trip. https://bit.ly/2MSX59I

easy hike, not too many people were there which made it nicer.

Great hike with some awesome views

Really good hike, scenery and foliage was nicer than I expected. Falls were more of a trickle at this time of year, but still lovely. Downhill on the way in, back up to get out. Dogs loved it-- If your dog is not agile they will not be able to get down to the waterfall. We started at 0630 and were back to the car at 0830, didn't see any other people until we were almost back to the car.

Great hike for training. Doing Mt. Whitney in a couple of weeks and the consistent above 8K ft. helps.

Hiked to Bighorn on Aug. 9th. Scenic and quiet. I saw deer, and a rattlesnake. Neat! Just FYI, the smoke from nearby wildfires is affecting this area. Baldy Village was smoky in the morning but when I got up to the saddle, the air quality seemed great. At that point, I decided to continue on to Bighorn. I didn't encounter smoke until I was almost to the peak. As the day progressed, the smoke from started to roll in fast. Air quality was not the best.

A beautiful water fall.

Started from Big Tujunga Cyn road, as the gate to the trailhead was locked. Started out at 7:20 AM. It was dry, but very beautiful vistas the whole way. I rate this trail intermediate. Sun hit me at 8 AM where the trail is high on the ridge. Took some pictures of the falls and back to my car at 9:20. Al in All, a really awesome hike.

Nice hike and will definitely do it again. Unfortunately it was a bit too crowded up to the first view point but it does clear up after as you work your way to the top/midway loop point.

Had issues finding the entry point to the Rabbit Hole Trail (going up) but will give it another go next time I’m back.

Beautiful

Beautiful views and a fun day hike. I used this hike to train and test gear for an upcoming trip to Mt Langley. It was a good moderate hike. Nothing crazy. I will go back but next time I’ll approach from Idyllwild and skip the tram. Once was enough for me. Cheers

Lots of rocks, would recommend hiking shoes and water shoes for when you get to falls. It’s really nice though, I’m for sure going back.

Short but challenging hike. Great hills.

Great place to start if you are camping in one of the spots nearby. You should start as early as possible and be prepared for some serious elevation gain. The top is pretty crowded so you may have to spend a good amount of time at the top.

Hiked to Bighorn and Ontario on a Thursday, and it was pretty quiet -- only saw 5 other people on the trail from the saddle, and only 2 people that were heading for Ontario. But this trail is NOT 12.1 miles -- it is at least 2 miles longer if you hit both peaks. Although I did not record a track, I logged over 41,000 steps from the parking lot -- that's NOT a 12.1 mile hike. Check the recorded tracks below for both peaks, and you'll see a number that are over 14 miles. My best guess is that doing both peaks is a 14.2 mile RT hike -- 3.6 miles to the saddle, 2.8 miles to Ontario Peak, and .7 miles to Bighorn from the ridgetop junction. Roundtrip that and you have a 14.2 mile hike.

Definitely on the easier side of moderate but a very nice morning hike. beginning is a mix of shaded and exposed sections of trail with light incline criss-crossing dry river beds which is expected in mid July.

Hiked this trail a few times as a conditioning trail in the evenings, nice view from the top. Not to boring but enough to give you a workout.

first time and had a wonderful time.. going back again soon.

Very heavily trafficked until you get to the out and back portion. Going counter clockwise on the loop portion, the second half on your way back down can prove to be very difficult if you don’t have trekking poles or experience.

Beautiful day for a hike to the falls. So disheartened to see the graffiti along the way. I support art and expression, but please don't use Mother Nature as your canvas.

This was a fun hike. Extremely difficult. keep hydrated and bring sunblock especially if you're doing it in April. make sure you have the right hiking shoes or boots and always keep hydrated

Great walk, beautiful views with a refreshing stop at the falls. The only problem is people trashing the place and not taking care of the mess they leave behind.

Los Leones is one of my favorite trails within the immediate LA area. Generally I’m searching for something harder, more technical, or at least with a little scrambling, but there’s just really nothing to not like about this trail! You’ll have a clear path the entire way on this out and back with no real way to get lost. I went on a holiday mid-day and was expecting it to be packed but was pleasantly surprised. The trail is generally more crowded up to the first overlook where many people turn back. There is an option to add miles with the east topanga fire road which will give you about 10.5 miles total.

Lots of gnats and other flying pests during the summer, so prepare.
