Nice trail with lots of shade. During summer would recommend this for a morning hike.

It is definitely a good cardio workout but it's absolutely stunning all the way up!

I haven't done this in a couple of years.... Went last week after work and it was great. Lots of uphill.. Good people on the trail. It was tough but I went again this week and seemed much easier so I think I paced myself better. Like I said, lots of uphill!

When you get to the trail point you can go left to cave cove or go right (go right) On the right just up the hill are some beautiful top of mountain views! The cave cove is a more exercise uphill hike with not too much to see. When you get to the hollowed out tree with water you've arrived. It's up right above that.

This hike up and down isnt too long but both weeks left my legs sore and my abs tight!

My first hike and it was magical! Me and my 2 friends went past the waterfall to a cave above it and could see the entire valley! I would recommend this to anyone.

Great summer hike in Vegas area

Good workout trail. No a very scenic trail though. Lots of loose gravel on trail so watch your footing.

I did this hike with my husband and our labrador. Its a lovely moderate hike. I there are some areas (with the switchbacks) that it is hard to see the trail and pretty rocky, but you will not get lost. The falls are a beautiful spot to rest and enjoy the view.

Nice hike, easy to follow trail. We parked at the upper parking lot and walked down the road to the lower parking lot to start there. The first 3 miles from the lower parking lot is all jeep road, all up hill and not much shade. It’s a nice climb to the point where you see the Bonanza Trail turn off. Continued to the upper where you eventually get to some nice single track trails with shade covering which will take you right back to the upper parking area. Nice views and dog friendly!

Trail started off kinda boring, but once you get up to the boulders that you have to scramble up and get up the rope ladder, the trail was awesome. We hiked all the way to the stream up top. Great hike, very surprised. We ended up going over 1 mike further than where the trail map ended.

Pretty steep but over all really enjoyable, get there early because it can get pretty hot due to lack of shade

Simply awesome to climb. Views were amazing however, Vegas was a bit smogged over but that did not take away from the experience.

I did this hike with my almost two year old. I carried her some of the way. Up by the waterfall it gets a little tricky with a little one as I didn’t want her to fall or me fall while helping her. It was a great hike though. I would do it again.

Nice little huff if wearing a babe. Would recommend using trekking poles if you’re wearing a kid carrier as there are a lot of loose rocks and can be a little treacherous on the way down.

This was an interesting hike for me because there are no blazes to follow. I made it just about 2mi shy of the summit before having to turn back because of lightning and hail. The views on the way up made up for me bailing though. There are a few water caches scattered around in case you run low, but make sure you carry at least 3L. Next I come back I might add on the South Loop as well.

we started out at the lower. we gradually climbed and were not sure we would do the upper. we did do the upper and 3 1/2 hours later made it back to our car, but we did it! great views!

Great exercise. I recommend going in the morning so the switchbacks are in the shade.

Awesome trail, we took the upper bristlecone trail and headed farther up the mountain following bonanza then hit what is labeled as “old bristlecone trail” on the way back. It wasn’t as maintained as the upper trail but was stunning and had shade the whole way back. It was an amazing 8 mile hike going around that route

Really nice hike, perfect for a morning outing before it gets hot. The trail itself is quiet and well maintained. I started from the Upper trailhead. The Upper trail is nicely shaded and really beautiful. Once you get to the Lower part of the loop, the views are still lovely and the trees are green, but the long dirt road gets a little boring to walk on. Saw two mule deer (does), a coyote, good-sized Palmer's Chipmunks, and tons of birds including several woodpeckers. All in all, a great little hike.

Excellent trail if you’re just starting back hiking. Lovely views and plenty of shade spots. Good for dogs as well. Would definitely do this again!

Excellent hike. Be prepared with lots of water, especially during the summer months; drink plenty before. Fun scrambling/boldering on parts of the hike. Beautiful view at the top, be sure to go to the left after going through the tank.

Great trail

We loved this hike. It is definitely worth going to the top to see the caves and a very small waterfall. I think it may be longer then the 2.5 miles posted, more like 5 round trip but I didn't track it.

amazing views over the valley.

We loved the hike. Its fairly easy and not too strenuous. Plenty of shade and the canyon is wonderful. the walk back has great canyon views.

We enjoyed the trail but it started pouring rain on us and thundering so we ended up freezing but we would recommend it. :)
