Took the tram up then hiked to the top. Nice hike but it is steep.

Did the low Jewell Pass track to Barrier and then back up the jeep track over Yates. Great little hike - good distance. Moderate rather than hard. Keen to MTB it in the summer

I climbed the rocks but there is a path behind it as well. Beyond belief beautiful.

The hike isn't that long and is very easy and the views are absolutely breathtaking!! Definitely the most beautiful and crystal clear lake close to Banff!! My oldest son even drank water from the lake.

Enjoyed Heart Mountain, Horseshoe Trail hike. We did this back in May 2018. We did the couple harder scrambles, we did go counter-clockwise (west to east) and found the ♦️ painted on the side of a cliff, climbed up there... I’m sure we got off the trail a few times. Scramble up and down the other side. This hike is in FULL Sun, and can be very windy. Bring lots of water, and some food. It turned into a full day hike for us by time we found our way back to parking. Breathtaking views the whole time, took lots of pictures. Loved it! It was a challenge for us.

Didn’t get all the way to the top because it started pouring rain on us but it was definitely beautiful!

Spectacular views along the river. Numerous waterfalls along the way. Get there early to beat the tour buses.

Beautiful spot!

great hike . we go from 5th bridge up to 1st bridge, then back to 5th bridge. takes about 2 hours. 5th bridge to 1st bridge is 21 km and 6th to 5th bridge is 19km. we do not go for a full loop this time but plan to a full loop from 1st till 6th in coming spring or summer
Great view You can really see how amazing nature can be

It’s a beautiful spot but the trails were extremely hard to follow. We found our selves wandering a lot trying to figure out where to go. Not child friendly.

Definitely not a hike, but a trail. Super easy, great place for a picnic and to see some wonderful waterfalls.

Loved the walk. Very easy, it was October when we did the hike. I’d love to do it in the summer when it’s warm enough to swim! The water looked amazing

Meh. Crowded, only a few decent views. Easy hike if you only have an hour or two, but there are absolutely much better treks in the park.

Love this trail. GREAT HIKE FOR BEGINNERS who don't want to scramble but still want a good challenge

Arrived a few weeks ago at 630am on a Friday. Parking lot was full at that time. Amazing views of the peaks. Some of the most scenic backdrops I have seen in a larch forest. Make sure to continue to Sentinel pass for more amazing views.

Favourite lake in Banff!! ❤️

Love ❤️ Mountain! Challenging up but the views make it worth every step. There was a marker (red square on a cliff) that could be easily missed and then you could end up going the wrong way and getting cliffed out.
Really enjoyed the “multiple summits” ;)
The trail is a loop that offers great views the entire time.

If there is one must do hike in the Canadian Rockies .. must be this one for the view .. easy, short, breathtaking view!!

This hike requires to be in a good shape.
You will find incredible views.

My friends and I we left the car in a parking lot that is located 5 minutes ago. In the parking lot there are free buses that takes you to Lake Moraine and this hike. I heard that this hike will we open until 8th October.

did it last weekend of Sept. totally covered in snow and a bit slippery whem scramble starts. highly would recommend spikes.

Very easy brief walk, tried 3 times to wait for clouds to reveal the mountain peaks. 3rd time was a charm. 2 of the 3 times it was busy with tour buses and many people, however a short enough hike that people come and go quite quickly so you can get your photo and go.

easy walk to the top

Easy walk with exceptionally stunning views!

Prefect spot to propose, and she said yes

Did this hike sept 29th and it was great! Larch trees looked amazing with the snow too. Wear good shoes as people started to slip due to freezing conditions and whiteouts are happening more so check conditions before going up

Great hike, wasn’t the best weather today as soon as we got into the larch valley the snow started, making the way up the pass a little sketchy. Crampons 100% necessary. Saw people slipping all over the place even with hikers. Back down the patch between larch valley and moraine lake got super slippery as the snow started to pack on the trail and we saw a ton of people going up in only sneakers...*shakes head*. Took us a total of just under 4 hrs, with a mini break in the larch valley for food. Didn’t stay up at the pass due to the snowfall and whiteout conditions. I bet the views are unreal on this hike in good weather, will be going back next summer to enjoy the 10 peaks as we unfortunately saw none today.

Was September when we visited so no swimming or cliff diving... much too cold too that!

As a simple short hike it wasn't terrible... but there are so many great trails in the area this one may be better left to those who want to get in the water, weather permitting.

Busy, but its definitely worth sharing with the crowds to see this amazing canyon/gorge.

Well maintained, right off the highway, and you can choose how far you go by deciding how many bridges you can get to so it's good for all levels and abilities. You get some great scenery without walking far... or those looking for a challenge can venture further.

There are 6 bridges and to hike the full 6 bridge loop will take two or three hours with stops for photos.

Amazing views. Not an easy one. Carry a lot water as it can take a few hours to do the entire loop
