Climbed up branock trail in Grand Targhee ski resort
3.5miles- up the mountain
Incredible views! Caught the lift down. Great hike for the family.

Nice views. Harder than moderate. Loose footing and steep at a few areas.

The network for trails by the Cusick Creek trailhead is quite extensive, but you can see the radio towers on Kinport Peak in the distance and if you just go straight in that direction, that's the right way. From the trailhead, it looks like you are going to be hiking through grasslands, with no cover, but in fact, most of the hike is shaded in the trees. It's a steady uphill, but never that steep in any one place. The trail is a little rocky in places, but otherwise excellent and probably useable by ATVs. You can drive to the top of this summit, but the hike was very nice. It looks like you could do quite a bit of additional hiking and exploring along the ridges at the top. I imagine that the views are great, but right now you can't see so much, due to the smoke. No water or restrooms at the trailhead. I saw only 2 other hikers and the mountain bikers were all on other trails.

beautiful hike I've done it a few times, but we saw a rattle snake when we went last year at dusk in early august, so be careful.

I'm not really sure how the original Trail got recorded on to All Trails but I logged 15.25 miles on that same route to go up to the upper Palisades lake so I think the trail details need to be updated. Aside from that it was a great Trail beautiful views little bit longer than I had hoped but I would do it again.

Good exercise on a cooler morning

This was a beautiful hike. We came from 8000 feet in CO, so the lower altitude made it even easier. We hiked to the lake where my husband caught (and released) 30+ fish in an hour, then we hiked back. It started to rain and lightening mid afternoon, so keep an eye on the weather as there are some very exposed sections of the trail. This would also be a great trail running trail.

This hiking trail was a really fun one. It does provide a bit of a challenge, but it makes up for it. I only have four stars because there were so many people. It really slowed down our hike because we had to keep stepping off trail for others to get through. There also seems to be an issue with the fellow hikers not following rules by not keeping their dogs leashed (as it says right at the beginning to keep them leashed). This caused a lot of issues with the dogs running past us and almost knocking us over.

Great trail. First half mile is all sidewalks (fully handicap accessible). The next half mile loop is well marked and has signs and benches. Even more fun is the trail to the top. It heads off the second loop. There are some steep sections and boulders to climb, especially near the top. The views of the Snake River from the top is fabulous. Well worth the challenge. Enjoy!

Beautiful views. Lots of different scenery. Accessible.
Make sure you're in good shape - can be a challenge.

Beautiful treed hike, very steep.

I like this trail but I like to expand on it. At the four wheeler trail on the east side I take that and go to the east up to the pipeline trail that goes north up the side of the mountain. Also on the east side of cress creek trail there is another trail that I call Kim‘s trail that goes straight up the side of the mountain they are both good workouts so a trekking poll or walking stick is a good idea.

It’s a beautiful hike. We always think we’ve passed it before we find it. The first half is paved and the second half is gravel. Go up the gravel for a great view of the snake river, and don’t forget to read the signs!

Great easy hike to take the family on. Super pretty views and diverse terrain. Passes by a few small springs that are pretty. Dog friendly! Make sure you have bug spray

Normally I hate these kinds of "trails" however, the forest service did a great job to make you still feel like you're in nature and not just walking on a boardwalk. Plus, the wonderful waterfall is a bonus.

took my wife 1 yr old 3 yr old and 8 yr old. was very enjoyable.

Trail to Lower lake is pretty easy. Lower lake to upper lake more difficult but worth the climb. I’m 58 and first time hike. My sons and I did it and I was exhausted at the end but the hike is so worth it!!! Beautiful mountain scenery and even saw 2 moose.

Great day hike. Not too hard. Recommend starting the hike early in the day.

Very beautiful trail, plus very easy.
Explore around at the lower falls end of the trail and you can find trails leading to the top of the falls and a little further down the river. But wear shoes with decent tread if you want to do those- they are steep and slippery.

beautifull!! the falls is breath taking..

Very beautiful! Easy hike and a lot of areas to take photos of.

Awesome short hike

This is a great spot to take little and not so little kids on a little walk down to beautiful waterfall views. This is a favorite spot we take family from out of state when they come to visit.

This makes for a great quick mountain bike ride with fun downhill on the way back. People do hike it too but be on alert as it seems to be primarily used by bikers and is a fairly popular trail.

So much fun with my three little ones

Ran this trail a few days ago. Beautiful. 5a on a Tuesday meant not a soul around. Weather was awesome in early June. Took about 2 hr 25 min to run to upper Palisades and back with no traffic. From the campground it was 14.3 miles and about 1700 ft of elevation. I’ve run this trail on a Friday morning and it was starting to get busy. Saturday’s are really busy. Good luck getting around all the horse and foot traffic on the weekend if you are a runner.

A short and sweet hike! And beautiful views! Would do it again. Steep in some areas. Carried my baby on my back and we did great!

Great hike. Follows a river the entire time that is beautiful. At the time we hiked the creek was pretty full leading to some muddy parts of the trail but it was still very doable. There is not a lot of steep incline on this hike so it's good for a lot of ages. very popular
