Beautiful and very well maintained. I do wish they were open more often but understand why they aren’t. The guides were super friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back to try the harder trail.

Only time for a short hike, maybe 3 miles total out and back. I will definitely go back to explore that and the other trails in the area. Saw an area where deer had bedded down, with prints visible under the grass.

Very clean. I took a short hike midweek and passed no other hikers. Lots of deer and armadillo tracks, still undisturbed at mid afternoon. It was a very hot day and the only wildlife I saw were a couple of tortoises. I disturbed a large bird but did not get a good look at it.

Would be good to go very early, get off the trail and just sit, watch and listen.

Has anyone tried out the tent camping area?

Hiked this trail several times over the past few years. Several good uphill climbs that will test the lungs. Good population of wildlife and wildflowers. Some decent waterfalls after a good rain or spring time. Usually you can hike all day and maybe see half a dozen other hikers, but I usually go and don’t see another person all day. This trail system has a little bit of everything. Hard sections, easy sections, springs and creek beds, bluffs, lake access and decent views on the higher ridges. Overall a good trail system that is close to the bigger NWA towns and just far enough out that you can feel lost at times.

i love this trail. i run/walk here at least once a week, sometimes 4x a week. It's very rocky with a lot of tree covering. This is a nice trail to challenge yourself with.

Do not let the fact that the trail is made up of a series of Old Logging roads fool you. the trails are up and down very steep rugged hills. There is a reason this trail is rated as difficult because it is. also be aware that there are wild hogs in this area so be on the lookout and use caution, as wild hogs can be dangerous even when unprovoked. all this being said, it was a pretty decent trail and it was definitely a good cardio workout. Lastly, be sure to bring water.

It was pretty tough but it was nice!

Great hike that offers lake views, stone cut steps, and new asphalt roads that brings you up to the start of the trail. Only disappointment (as already stated but yet to be fixed) was the trail is not marked very well after it crosses the road and starts its way back North towards the lake.

This trail was great. Very well marked. Went in to 3 mile marker and turned around and came out. We were thrilled to see lots of deer and no snakes! Very peaceful and beautiful scenery. The trail itself is marked as moderate, I found it to be much easier than the east side.

Pretty decent hike. Your back side will definitely feel it. Great scenery, best hike in OK so far. Overall, great adventure.

Nice warm-up circuit. Some technical spots with a few features that are in need of slight repair.

Trail is clearly marked! There are a few dry creek crossings where the trail is a little tricky to spot though. Make sure to grab a stick to knock down spider webs if you go in the morning.

A Tulsa gem and a challenging hike. Bring lots of water or a camelpack when it's hot out.

only one section of the trial is nice, the rest is walking down the road.

Great urban trail. Would not know your in a city. Challenging but not overwhelming.

Great hiking for entire family and sometimes your furry kid

love for a quick close hike with dog and friends ... packed on beautiful days!

It is a good place to hike in Tulsa. Mostly shaded! Watch out for mountain bikes!

Really enjoyed this trail. The nice lady in the gift shop had lots of great info about the various trails. There are dogwood trees everywhere and they are gorgeous right now.

lots of beautiful creeks in the area. great sturdy rock formations to hike on. plenty of room to explore without getting caught up in motor traffic.

Great hike. Had a 1 mile stretch called Wilson’s Trail that was semi difficult. Great views and the kiddos had a good time chasing little lizards around. Just wish their hours were better. Only 8-2 on Saturdays.l since volunteers help run it.

First part of the trail is nice, but the last half is not. It is basically paved road. The coyotes at the nature center are pretty. They also have a pretty eagle.

Great trail. The kids and I enjoyed the ink trail. It was well marked. Great spot for being so close to town.

Very good trail. While most hike the other trails to the east we chose this trail because of its moderate difficulty. One thing to note, the old washing machine landmark is not a washing machine but an old clothes dryer. All in all a very nice hike on a well kept and well marked trail.

There are some key words in the description "a NETWORK of LOGGING ROADS." This is a very strenuous hike. You may have driven some of Arkansas's old logging roads and wondered how a truck loaded with lumber ever navigated them. If the "trail" were any steeper in places, you'd need climbing gear! And there are lots of logging roads back here - you might call it a network - while the trail is well-marked, you will want to pay attention to where you are going.
That said, this is a very pleasant hike through a lovely area. On our first visit, in late fall of 2017, we hiked down to the spring, which was neat, and saw lots of wildflowers and butterflies along the way. Today we took the trail to the top of Trimble Mountain. The views are not great, but what you can see of Beaver Lake is pretty impressive. A warning: this looks like it gets really overgrown in the summer, to the point where the trail is obscured and/or unpleasant.

I thought the trail was great. Spooked 4 deer that were bedded down along the trail. The trails are very well maintained.

We go every other weekend to get outdoors. There aren’t stunning views, sometimes it’s over crowded and the trails are really popular with mountain bikers but it’s still a good place to get out with the family and the dog for a few hours.

Good trail with some tough parts to challenge you.

We took Mountain Trail which is fairly well marked most of the way but once you pass all the bluffs and begin to descend down toward the lake it gets horribly confusing. There are tons of unmarked trail signs out there that are horse trails. Don’t use the trail maps provided by the State Park they are in no way accurate with the trails. However, the views are wonderful and there are plenty of restrooms about the trail head and along the service road.

nice walk. rocky in parts (watch your step). Good overlook of the water treatment plant
