One of my favorite places to go for great bird watching year-round.

I did this hike awhile back It can get crowded but enjoyed it all the same!

Great as long as you go early

Insanely crowded. I felt like I was in a single file line going up.

A hidden gem. Multiple shots of the peaks as you hike. the panorama is the cake!

Falls larger and better than expected

It took about 2h30m getting to the lake and 1h30m going down for my team. It was so windy at the lake while we got there (about 2pm).

Just a heads up. It's hunting season. Worth the $5 to buy an orange hunting vest so you don't get shot. Ran into a couple hunters who informed me of hunting season and let me borrow a vest. Better safe than sorry. Suspension bridge was awesome.

Beautiful hike, wet leaf litter and mud near the falls made it a little slow going, but well worth it.

Gorgeous, unbelievable views! Ridiculously windy at points, thought we might blow off the side. Also be warned the last few miles of the forest road are pretty rough and require an agile 4 wheel drive vehicle (ideally with high clearance).

Beautiful views of the Mountains. Some trees down over the path that are tricky to navigate. Really icy at the top and around the lake. The path around the lake isn’t an easy one, but worth the walk. Amazing pics!

It was an easy hike... it got cold at the top. Enjoy the hike.

The trail is nice. It’s a good scenic trail with lots of cool places to stop and take pictures. The only bad thing is it’s a popular trail. Once you get to the top, you’ll be fighting for places to stop and take a break or pictures. We went on a Saturday morning and we were at the top with about 50 other people who had the same idea as we did today. The parking lot fills fast and people started parking on the street before the parking lot. So, we’ll definitely go back on a Wednesday morning or something so it won’t be so crowded.

Very pretty, easy hike. It's great for a fall/winter hike when the skies aren't as clear. Can't believe how many big and small falls there are.

good for kids

Great hike for all age groups. If you’re not a beginner, I’d recommend trail running as well. Breathtaking views from the cliff. You can continue further if you wish as the trail continues further. Took us 3 hours from car to car including breaks. Would highly recommend for sunrise.

Good hike, wasn't muddy like I thought it would be with the recent rain. The beginning is pretty steep for most people so I wouldn't bring children. The rest is relatively easy. If you plan to park a car a both ends to only hike 8 miles then make sure you have a Discover pass. Because as we know WA likes for all of us to purchase yet another pass to add to our collection. Or you can do the full 16 (17 if you account for the walk to the parking lot) and park at the falls. There are two road crossings between miles 2.5 - 3.5. For the first, follow the road downhill to the left, then there will be a wooden sign to reenter the forest on the left after about 100 yds. The second crossing take a right, then almost immediately (about 10ft) look to the left side of the road for your trail. There is a small marker post with the blue trail sticker on it. The rest of the trail is straight forward and well marked with mile markers every half mile. We will definitely hike this trail again in the future.

Steep for kids, but amazing views and great lookout at the top. Mountain stream just over halfway up.

Hiked Nov 3: NW Forest Pass needed, easy road terrain driving in, bathrooms at TH. Well-marked, slight incline/decline, trail was not slick, a few blow-downs, very very wet, sometimes feel as if you are walking through a waterfall while on the trail, although it was easy to navigate. Huge beautiful old growths and so many waterfalls, I lost count! Lake 22 was beautiful! Quite popular but not overcrowded. Can’t wait to come back in the Spring!

K and I did this one in the rain. The Falls look great. Per NOAA the Skykomish flow was over 35.2 KCFS. The trail is in good shape, not too much of a crowed.

My husband and I did this (we're not in the best shape) and huffed and puffed on the way up but man was it worth it! Great views, lots of beautiful greenery along the way!

Great hike. Fairly easy. Boulder field towards the end was annoying but well worth it.
