This was a fun beautiful hike. We kept going and saw a lot of fantastic waterfalls and views.

This was s good hike for our family. We hiked with our two boys (10&8) and our pup. Lots of families and people going through the trails. Pet friendly

This was a good hike. We did this with our two boys (10&8), and our pup. It wasn’t to long but long enough for an evening hike.

Short and sweet, small waterfall, walk beside and around the creek the whole time, pretty easy/beautiful. Wasn’t sure about it at first but def worth it. If you want to do the steep climb to the top, just be aware it’s a little difficult coming back down as it’s pretty steep. When you get up, take a right and follow the little trail for a nice mountain view and a spot to eat lunch :D there’s an arrow marked where you go back down again so you won’t get lost.

Went in winter got stuck in a blizzard but really easy to navigate. Super fun (and easy) for both humans and dogs!
Also managed to snap some amazing pictures!

Great beginner hike.

What a beautiful trail. I went with 4 boys and it was easy and interesting. I loved the walk! It was around 5pm walking in, so there was hardly any people. I was disappointed that I couldn’t see the falls at the end- you had to boulder up (no thanks) but the boys did it -which gave me multiple heart attacks. I couldn’t walk through the river to see it, the water was COLD and the logs were not stable enough for me to walk over. But I would do the trail again, it was so lovely!

Good for families with small children

great little hike. Takes less then an hour. We found that the signage wasn't greatest for the trail. It starts at the back lot on the north side.
The falls are beautiful at the end and a quick dunk in the pool is refreshing. You can always go through the meadow to make this an even easier hike

Just did this over the long weekend. The trail is in great shape, all the way. We stayed over night at Ribbon Falls, there was lots of firewood and company to visit with. Day hiked up to the lake the next day, the chains were a fun challenge. We brought our 1 year old up with us and he loved every minute of it!

Had such a nice time on this hike. It’s super easy but there’s a few hidden gems off the path. I felt like I was in an enchanted forest the entire time.

Great small hike. Trail is in good shape.

Great. My 2 and a half year old made it pretty well to the top by herself. Easy walk, nice falls. Very family friendly.

Easy trail... but beautiful views

Hiked to Troll Falls early on Sunday July 29. Beautiful scenery along the power lines (we missed the start of the trail but our AllTrails app kept us going in roughly the correct direction). Easy hike through the trees to the waterfall, which was more impressive than I had imagined it would be. Because we started early, there was no one around until we started to head back to the car. The hike took about 45 mins including stopping for photos and to enjoy the beauty of the falls.

Super short hike but the falls at the end are nice . I brought my little dog so definitely an easy hike.

Easy hike with great views of Mount Kidd and wedge pond.

Did a loop past here to Galatea then round Mt Kid back to Kananaskis village the chains where the highlight. The ball ache was the front of Mt Kid. In the trees the whole way. next time I'll just do either end not the front.

Beautiful walk fairly easy climb to the top.

Very easy hike, my grandparents could do it. Beautiful scenery, falls were lovely and the kids loved playing in the freezing cold water.

It was our first hike in a very long time. Kids loved it and the falls were refreshing. I gave this 4 as at the beginning of the trail head sign had a very poor idea of the correct direction. A “you are here” on signs would be helpful which trail and location to head down. But perfect to get our hiking legs back!

So fun!! The falls past are the ones to see! Easy stroll versus hike but happy we finally did this one !

A nice easy hike to the falls. Great for beginners or small children. We went up to see the upper falls which made the hike more of a challenge. The path above the falls is narrow and quite steep at times. My 5 year old daughter loved the more challenging terrain. I had my 6 month old on my back in a child carrying hiking pack. We took our time coming back down to the first falls just to be sure our daughter didn't slip or trip.

Nice little walk for a group of 6 to 8 year old first time hikers. They especially liked looking for the trolls.

Short and beautiful hike with an amazing waterfall at the end. The view along the way was amazing. The bridge has been replaced and we had no problem getting to the waterfall. Definitely a hidden gem of kananaskis.

great little hike!

Very nice family-friendly hike. Interesting to see all the climbers as you hike the trail. Cool man-made bridges as you cross the creek throughout the hike.
