Today’s the day I learned why trekking poles and hiking sticks are useful tools. So much ice! Made for a fun adventure. The rocky climbs were iced over and sometimes there’s a layer of ice under the snow.

Heavily trafficked trail by runners, walkers, and wanderers. Easy trail, very well marked, no major ups or downs.

Nice add on if you hike the Perimeter Trail but want to do a little more.

We are fortunate to have such a terrific resource in our community. Excellent opportunities for walking, hiking, cycling, and kayaking access. Thanks to TSRA/TWRA, and US Army COE for their partnership with Metro Parks. Major additions coming soon within Lytle Park!

Great park and it was a great day to be on the trail. The waterfalls are spectacular, especially after all the rains. Not a very difficult trial but I would not recommend it for younger children, it would be too easy for a small child to get swept into the river.

Awesome trail. Very beautiful. Able to get close to the water.

Awesome hike! Did the hike to the base of the falls. It’s been raining the last few days so it was super muddy and slick but worth it. The way the rocks are makes it hard to get good footing - so I’d rate this more strenuous than moderate. Also hiked back up and did Cane Creek Falls over the suspension bridge. My husband , I and pup enjoyed the day exploring nature ! Check out Cane Creek Overlook if you’re looking for a good spot to stop and eat lunch.

Great little trail to hike with a group or pet. The cave is always fun to visit.

Absolutely lives up to the hype. Great for kids and my dog. Two for one special of stunning falls at the bottom and the top and a suspension bridge for fun thrown in. Very cool hike.

Great trails, and we were able to find a few geodes near the river which made it even better.

This is the probably the easiest mountain biking trail in the Nashville area but it’s also one of the most scenic. Really beautiful dense forest sections and some great views of Percy Priest. Also I believe if you do the longest loop (follow the Orange markers) it is closer to 6 miles. It’s pretty flat, so you can knock out this pretty trail in under an hour pretty easily which is a plus when you are as busy as I am.

Nice short hike with the dog and kiddos

A wonderful trail for dogs. Not to hard and very pretty.

It was an easy hike that meandered through the woods. The park borders a busy road, so you could still hear the traffic.

There were a lot of dogs and children, so if you have dogs and children, this is a great one to go on.

The cave is an interesting feature. Unfortunately, it was closed for the season.

The rangers were really friendly. All in all, it was a pleasant walk and a good way to stretch our legs on a long road trip.

Beautiful falls. Pretty easy hike, not too crowded.

nice hike to the base of the falls, can get crowded

Some nice sinkholes, a few rock formations, but still a simple walk through the woods.

Short trail built by the boy scouts. It was more interesting than I thought it would be. It passes by several sinkholes.

Simple walk through the woods.

We went in the middle of October the hike wasn’t to bad but the waterfall is totally worth it we’re from Missouri and we had a blast.

So much fun! 6 miles round trip, 9 river crossings. Deepest part was up to my knees and on a couple crossings, the current was strong! Each crossing has cables so that was helpful. The waterfall, the window cliffs view at the top and the water crossings make this a new favorite!

It was in the 40’s when we started the hike. The Water crossings were frigid! All crossings were mid shin to mid thigh! Not a good hike if your wanting to stay dry! The waterfall was way rad! The cliffs at the end of the trail were an awesome to eat some food and enjoy the view! On the way out it was in the 60’s the water was still cool but much more tolerable. The last thing you do is walk up 300 ft of elevation right before the parking lot. Probably not a good hike for small children, but very fun!! Will do again!

such a great hike. challenging in some areas for sure. well marked. Red trail was great and heard the white trail is the most challenging.

We did Ridgetop and Henry Hollow. The trails were beautiful and well marked but it turns out the area isn't safe at all! I didn't see the reviews about this but we saw what we thought was car window glass near 2 parking spaces when we first got there. The suspension was confirmed when we got back and saw that another couple's car had been broken into. That means at least 3 cars have been broken into recently. We're just blessed it wasn't ours. If you go to Beaman don't leave anything of value in your car! A broken window is bad enough without having something stolen.

I didn't care for the trail. Too narrow of a trail, either pulling my dog behind me or he is pulling me out front. The gravel and bigger rocks were clunky and somewhat annoying. The trail meanders sometimes close to the lake, but then immediately takes you away from it. Just a couple of nice views, but other than that a fairly uninteresting hike.

The trail is interesting but not very well defined. The worst part is that a lot of people use the trail to walk their dogs. They tend to ignore the leash requirement and make no attempt to pick up their pets' poop. There are poop bags available at the trail head, but I have yet to see someone with one in hand. Actually stepped on poop during one of my runs. I have run the trail a half a dozen times and have never seen any park staff on the trail nor any law enforcement in the area. Lovely place but poorly managed and insecure.

Nice well kept trail. Great views along the way. I was attacked by Chinese Beatles but otherwise enjoyable hike!

Great easy hike to just be outdoors, enjoy the woods and changing leaves. Easy for kids to join.

Pretty, very easy hike. We took our small dog for the first time and she had no problems.

hard but worth it. cross water 10 times
