Great hike and great waterfall. My husband and I went in December with 40* weather, we wore proper attire and the hike was doable. It also provided a quick work out and moderate 1 mile loop. Trail is clearly marked. The waterfall was beautiful and some aspects were frozen, which was neat to see.

Easy walk down to the falls. There are several stair steps to maneuver but most folks can make it easily.

Beautiful hike!

I love this trail. it's short but you get 2 waterfalls on the way. totally worth the trip and hike.

Great trail that isn’t too challenging with some great Mountain View’s.

Gorgeous views from the tower. Very busy, lots of people when we were there. Concrete pathway with incline.

Awesome. The thick fog moving through the forest and the sound of raindrops, were beautiful. Can’t wait to get back there and do it again when the weather is cleared up.

Very nice trail with incredible views from the observation tower! Trail is wide and paved, but steep.

Short hike, not too strenuous. Brought the dogs too, they enjoyed the walk. Definitely recommend.

this was an excellent hike with a great view of the waterfall.

It’s alright. Very, very busy. Fantastic views of the Smokies. Concrete path all the way up.

Short hike, but with an incline. We went at sunrise hoping to see the sun hit the trees in the fall, but the fog was so thick we could see much at all. However, this didn’t bother me. It was absolutely beautiful – the fog rolling off the evergreens. I’d say this is a must do for everyone visiting the park. It’s a great spot with wonderful vantage points.

Nice hike up the hill. Mighty cold on top but nothing you can’t survive.

Went their in the middle of October amazing views the walk would’ve been easy if I was in shape but the views at the end were totally worth it. Just take your time coming up the mountain. We came on a Friday and it was packed their was no where to park in the parking lot so we parked about a 1/2 mile down the road because that’s where most people were parking so be aware it gets busy lol but totally worth it

Nice short hike, beautiful scenery!

There is a paved steep pathway to the observation deck. Not far but steep. Beautiful view from the top. Take the clingmans dome bypass trail back down to the parking lots it’s worth it. I wish I knew there was an adjacent trail before I saw the ranger at the deck.

Very cool to be this close to such a big waterfall!

The hike to the top is very steep but the views are amazing and so worth it! Parking is a challenge.

Did this hike in early November 2018.... Great five mile climb that is moderately difficult, last quarter of a mile is the toughest. The mileage is wrong as it is calculated using GPS and doesn’t add in the distance caused by altitude gain. This adds .3 of a mile.

Wonderful view at the top!!!

The actual trail is kind of hidden to the right once you get on the gravel path. Make sure you don't keep walking down the gravel path because that is not the trail.

While we had no view at the top due to weather, the drive up was beautiful! The hike is an asphalt path which was fine for footing. Saw many people in street shoes as opposed to hiking shoes. Be aware on a wet day it might be slick coming down in street shoes. I’d do this again on a clear day.

Not too strenuous of a hike, except for the quick incline. Go early morning and you’ll be the only ones up there!

Short (moderately steep) walk up a heavily traveled paved trail. This hike is on most tourists short list of things to see, so the parking lots fill up quickly. Make this hike on a clear and sunny day and you'll see mountains for miles. Dress appropriately. The temperature can be about 15 - 20 degrees cooler and the wind can be strong. Bathrooms available.

View at the top was worth it, but the crowd was ridiculous.

My new favorite hike! Nice, moderately strenuous secluded walk on the AT with fantastic payoff with 360 degree views at the top of Siler Bald. Highly recommended midweek to avoid the crowds!

Awesome paved trail, very steep and I took a few breaks to catch my breath on the way up. Views at the top were magnificent!

The walk up to Clingmans dome from the parking area isn't very long, but it is quite steep. The path is heavily trafficked with people of all fitness levels donning all types of attire/footwear. I found the incline a little challenging and had to take a few short little breathers on the way up. There were plenty of other people breathing heavy and resting along the way. When you make it to the top of the mountain, you are surrounded by trees and there is not an expansive view until you complete the walk to the top of Clingmans dome. As expected, it's quite crowded at the top. I felt like I was in a wind tunnel with a symphony of screaming children. It wasn't the best experience due to the wind and crowds, but worth it because you get a 360 degree view. If it weren't for that, I'd say the parking lot scenic lookouts are more enjoyable.

Nice short hike. Not too strenuous. There are a few places where you either need to rock hop or get your feet soaked. The falls are gorgeous! I went yesterday and there was very little fall color. But it was still beautiful and tranquil. My only complaint is that the trail is too short!
