Great Hike! I stayed to the right to hit the high points of the trail first and then enjoyed the view and the way back!

Great place to hike with my dog. Wide, well-maintained trail with enough uphill climbing to make it a pretty good workout. Only saw four other people on the trail.

Great views of the lake. Trail was moderate, kids did ok, but not clearly marked since we ended up on the wrong trail heading back to the car, very rough steep hike back!

great hike. easy access to trailhead. beautiful walk next to river. well maintained. hills and terrain offer enough of a workout to feel like a hike and not just a walk.

Very nice trail with great views of the lake. The whole family enjoyed it!!

A very nice moderate hike. We hiked in the winter so no spiders.  it was the perfect hike to get some exercise but not so strenuous that you’re completely spent afterwards. The trails are wide and well maintained. There were some lose rocks on the trails but nothing too hazardous. Overall, a nice hike.

Great trail

It’s a decent workout with good views of the lake. Nothing particularly spectacular, but a nice walk through the woods on a well-maintained trail.

Occasionally steep semi-loop featuring two overlooks of Cherokee Lake, one from atop the hill and one at lake level. Trail is well-maintained and easy to follow. Add the short 0.6 mile Seven Sinkholes Trail to the east to also see the area's geology. Overall, best hiker-only trail at Panther Creek.

good maintained trail if biking direction is critical the best route is to stay left you will go down the steepest hills and up the longer but not as steep the steep ones are very steep to try and ride up trail is part old fire road and some trail most is shaded but the power line hill is in the wide open has lake access about half way

Great bunch of trails. All are single track except main loop at Concord East. Several down trees so be careful on first loop ride. Why are there not a black trail marking for Concord east trails??

I did the knob creek trail; one of the longest in the park but so nice. When you get to the ‘loop’ part where the mountain meets the water you can jump in right there... the water feels amazing! In total we hiked 6.6 miles. We asked the ladies inside where to go and they didn’t know much, but on the map it says to park where the horse trailer parking lot is, then hike on the horse connector trail until you come to the “Knob Creek” Trailhead (which is right past the camping grounds) The horse trailer parking lot is about a quarter mile past the main entrance depending on which direction you come from (right near the boat ramp) But while we were walking on the connector trail we went right by the tennis courts which are in the park so there is probably a way to park in the main lot, then just find your way down to the trail.. it would definitely shorten the walk.
Knob creek itself is about 3 miles. But like I said, definitely worth it at the end to take a jump into Cherokee Lake and cool off!

Beautiful trail, good for dogs!!

Great Hike

Well marked!!
Most enjoyable morning hike!! Mostly easy with some uphill climbing!

Beautiful hike with a “rest area” where you can swim!!! Love this hike!

A favorite with interesting rocks a couple of bridges and lake view

Nice trail and usually quite no traffic.

Great place to spend the day and enjoy nature. Trail is great and views of Cherokee Lake are stunning.

Fun local trails. Hidden gems.

We took our kiddos 9 and 6 (1 yo in pack). If you park at the actual trailhead I would suggest going to the left at the 1st loop or just don’t do that part at all. It’s very steep with loose dirt and rocks without much reward. The other part of the loop is my fave part of the entire hike. So pretty and pretty easy going. Wish the lake was more visible during the 2nd loop but still a nice easy hike.

Nice loop trail with a great view of the lake at the top. The footing is good in most places, but there were some rocks and roots to negotiate. I could see the trail being slick in spots after a rain.

Plenty of vertical here. Good shoes and walking stick/trekking poles are advised as the trail becomes pretty slick in spots after a good rain. Nice views of the lake and very little trash on the trail.

Nice views from the top of the mountain. However, either there was missing signage or I just didn’t see it, so I ended up on different trails instead of completing the loop. I ended up walking on the main road 20 minutes up a long steep hill to get back to my car.

My favorite at Panther. I continue on the ridge trail .75 for a nice beach for the dogs.

Nice trail with the dogs

Even though footing can be an issue at times the view is more than worth it

This is a moderate trail . In many places it's very narrow. If you follow the entire trail it's quite an incline, not an easy trail by no means. My fitbit said we climbed 52 flights of stairs when we completed the loop. The views were amazing and the hike was very much enjoyed.

Nice trail that's easier than others I've been on, just one rocky area. Good views of the lake.
