Great short and quick hike. Pay attention to trail markers though!

The view at the end of the hike was breathtaking. I went in winter time and it was incredible seeing the falls half frozen. If you are hiking this hike in the winter time it may be tricky! Me and my dog made it but I feel we were on the wrong trail. After reading reviews it looks like you need to go to the left of the bridge. However, we went to the right and followed a beaten down deer path. The destination was the same but it may have made it a little trickier scaling down the steep and icy ravine with no rope guidance. I recommend this hike but be weary it’s not easy and you will get wet.

I entered north of Bristol mountain and the first mile was very apparent where the trail was , after that hard to follow got a little lost then finally found a blaze and was very happy to find it! It was a pretty runable trail when I wasn’t lost in the woods looking for blazes

Strenuous hike for those that don't do it often enough, but well worth it. Did wind up losing the trail at the end (my bad) and blazed my own on the way down. Bridge at the beginning may need to be extended. Had to find a way across a split in the stream at the exit end.

Well marked but tough to navigate, especially through the stream section. Would love to revisit in the spring or summer

We hiked in the fall with dogs. Not many people there, beautiful scenery. Easiest moderately rated trail I have done, loved it. Saw several deer.

Gorgeous! A few of the downhills were crazy steep and icy (first snowfall of the year was yesterday), but we went slow. Definitely need to bring hiking poles next time.

Great trail for a quick trip in the city, and a great way to start a Sunday! Moderate, short inclines/declines, and several options to change routes for repeated visits...

My star rating is for prior visits. Nice hike in the woods. But on this trip the trail is blocked by high water from an apparent beaver dam. The bridge over the creek ends amid the high water. Beware that unless the water level goes down you will need hip waders to get through.

We took the gorge trail out and back, if you haven’t seen this trail definitely do it. There is a good set of stairs to climb and my knee was hurting but it was worth it. The fall was gorgeous and the bridge crossings were nice. You also should see the cowshed falls as well, it’s on the way.

Several trails that are well-maintained. Most trails are very easy. Trail up the hill is a bit of a workout, but it's a short one. Easy to view wildlife from any of the trails if you can sit still long enough. Been here multiple times and keep finding new things to look at. Just wish the park was bigger with longer traiis.

I parked at the Blackwell Access Lot and walked through town, past Miller’s Store-where you should definitely stop, to the trailhead where the MST climbs up to Gillespie Point, just off Big Run Road. The view is spectacular and I got to see a bald eagle soar just over my head! Because of where I parked, it was about 4.9 miles for me. I loved it and I think it is one of the best, short, day hikes in the area.

Great Views.

Pretty easy trail for both me and my dog.

Well marked. Just make sure you turn right on the road at the end instead of going down the steps. This will take you back to where you parked.

Took about 2.5 hours to do the whole thing. My GPS tracked 4.7 miles total.

Fabulous intertwining trail with plenty of elevation. The trails down to the Creek are steep but worth the effort. Fun to get off on a loop just to see where it leads. Be aware of bicyclists who don't know they're supposed to be on the west side. Great way to spend an hour or two on a nice Fall day.

Well marked out and well traveled/ beaten path. Close to roads at times. Plenty of wild life around.

Great trail through the state forest in Danby, NY. Well-marked trail through some lovely countryside.

Fun and close! Trails are not well marked, so it’s easy to get lost without a gps. All trails eventually loop back around.

Not a well marked trail. and close to houses and a couple farms. Although there is a abundance of wildlife to be seen.

One of my favorite places to hike

Beautiful area to hike-- the first time I walked it, I got completely lost because the trails, while marked, are very confusing. They intersect many times and the colors are hard to follow.

The second time I hiked here, I used my phone much more, which helped me stay on track but robbed the experience of some of its serenity as looking down at a screen isn't an ideal way to be out in the woods for me.

I plan to familiarize myself further with these trails because it is a beautiful plot of land with good changes in elevation.

Beautiful hike!

Great short trail with both narrow and wide paths. Be aware of the poison ivy and nettles during summer and early fall.

A very nice trail! Well maintained and easy to tell where the trail is as it is marked consistently with green markers to lead you back to the entrance where you started.
Watch out for the occasional horse poop though!
I was also able to spot 6 Deer in the woods. Thankfully, no bear at all.
Great change in terrain and a good opportunity for trail runners. Overall, very enjoyable trail with decent views.

(P. S.) The waterfall really doesn’t exist.

Nice easy hike! Nice views. There is one area that is a bit tricky if you have limited mobility, as it is a staircase that is not well taken care of but it is short. Did spot some poison ivy along the side so be cautious.
