Okay little hike but more vertical than we were hoping for on an “easy” walk. The loop isn’t fully open so it’s just an in and out right now. Crampons or poles definitely needed with the hard packed and slippery snow. Super close to Canmore which was convenient. All dogs were leashes too which was nice.

Great easy winter trail. Good for dogs as well.
Well maintained - definitely need crampons!

Recommend ice picks! Awesome trail though in good shape

favorite hike so far! Absoloutley beautiful

Easy hike but definitely need crampons in the spring. If you are lucky enough to go before the summer when the tourists hit you may have the place completely to yourself! Other than the howling wolves it was majestic :)

Great winter hike, minimal elevation and very protected, definitely need crampons towards the end as it got pretty icy.

Easy hike for beginners!!

Such a beautiful short hike in the winter!
Don’t forget to say hi to the trolls!

Great trail for snowshoeing. I’d definitely come back again.

Absolutely breathtaking! Definitely advise to wear some sort of traction on your boots however as it is icy in spots.

Nice and easy. It is worth the view.

All 3 different falls are unique and spectacular.

Beautiful little hike, especially with the frozen waterfalls. Wonderful way to spend a couple of hours on a beautiful winter ❄ day. Will check it out again in the summer ☀ to see the creek and waterfalls in their unfrozen state.

Sure, you have to pass a cement plant. That’s such a small part of the trail and it keeps getting better and better. It exceeded my expectations. Lots to explore once you get to the waterfall.

Great hike for kids or a quick trek for adults. Not as much traffic in the winter, which is better for photo opportunities.

A pleasant jaunt up to the frozen falls. Snowshoes may have been overkill, path is well groomed. But splitting off into the woods is always fun with those snowshoes strapped on. Some ice climbers on the falls was cool to watch. Short hike for a quick troll stroll. But don’t forget to pay the Troll Toll.

Very pleasant snowshoeing circuit. Fairly easy for kids and not busy at all. Great views once you get to Marl Lake.

Amazing views, easy to hike. Very close from Canmore .
be prepared to wear warm clothes because once you are walking in the canyon, it is cold.

You need ice cleats but is a fantastic experience to walk on iced watrer spring leading to water falls.

Did the canyon trail hike on February 9th. Needed yaktrax on the ice even with fresh snow. Do not recommend going without some sort of ice cleats or grips. Highly encourage trekking poles or ski poles for those less steady on their feet, especially coming back down. Worth the hike to see the ice climbers. We went past the climbers and blazed a trail in the new snow up past the cave to the right. Had lunch on a boulder and enjoyed the views

Nice and easy trail. Very icy/snowy in winter, pikes cleats recommended. Lower trail closed during winter due to ice and ice falls but accessible with care. That's probably the better part of the trail, don't skip it if you have the right equipment.

Awesome hike completed Jan 30, 2018.

Nice easy trail for a couple of older ones

Hiked from Lake Moraine over Sentinel Pass all the way to Lake Louise. Beautiful but long. Saw wolverines and heard glaciers calving. Highly recommended.

Nice hike for a beginner. Temp minus 21, no wind. The trail was in excellent shape. Love the waterfalls

A great winter hike route if you are short on time. I did this in 21/2hrs while stopping to take photos and appreciate the views. Right up to the fire lookout/helipad. Could be a good sunrise/sunset hike. Will do it again perhaps in the Fall and follow Jewell Pass this time to make it alittle longer.
