Not breathtaking, but it's a fun day. My five year old was tired at the end but had so much fun. We will definitely do it again.

World class waterfall! In the middle of NOWHERE! But worth the drive from wherever you’re from.

I haven't really been up here since I was a boy so I thought it would be fun. The trailhead is unbelievably improved. Great loop. Great scenery. Lots of memories.

Beautiful trail, a little muddy but overall great hike.

I went March of 2017 and it was good. I didn’t hike all the way down because I had my dog but I got some amazing pictures.

Beautiful, short hike over packed snow. Family friendly and definitely worth it. Expect snow until mid March.

Great little loop trail! Everyone should visit and see Palouse Falls at least once in their lifetime. I went on Feb 27th 2018 and was able to catch sunset. It was great!

I also filmed the hike and caught some good drone footage of the film. For anyone interested it can be found on Youtube if you search “Sunset over Palouse Falls. Flying to film.”

Or you can find it here: https://youtu.be/AwqozmT7rKc

I love Saddlerock. It's my favorite local go to spot! Great year round. A lot of different trails. Dog friendly, which is a must for me! Terrain can be steep and loose, so be prepared. Good hiking shoes highly recommended.....

Nice and easy hike through the snow. Didn’t need snowshoes or spikes.

Awesome hike. Soft on your feet and beautiful trees. The view of the pool is incredible from above. Really cold water. Heavy trafficked trail

Great hike and amazing waterfall. I recommend hiking out to the top of the falls as well as down to the bottom. Great views from every part of the trail.

Feb 2018 - Inaccessible at the moment due to flooding in November that wiped out the trail and both campsites.

Went here specifically for the snow and there was lots way before the trail head!! We didn't even make it to the trail head due to high levels of snow and fallen tree a mile from the trail head. But we got out and played in the snow for a little bit after getting unstuck and turning around. Hopefully it's better in a couple weeks :)

Hiked in the spring with wild flowers blooming. Gorgeous and easy to navigate

Great place to hike when it's not to crowded

Very pretty hike. Didn't need snow shoes or spikes.

Easy hike through old forest on the well maintained trail. Gorgeous view of the lake and mountains. On the weekends it might be too busy and no parking right at the start of the trail. Cheers!

Easy, great view of the mountain at the end of the road

Breathtaking views yesterday 02/10/18! Great trail for beginner snowshoeing. Plenty of snow for skiing or snowshoeing!

Really enjoyable little trip through the woods. Service road up is in pretty good shape and the trail itself is a little muddy, a little slushy and a little crunchy.
Was hoping that the clouds would clear out so I could see Barring better, but I guess I’ll just have to go back.
There was a downed campsite at the far end of the trail that threw me off especially because I was by myself. Looks like it could have been collapsed under snow for a day or so. Strange because there were two cars in the parking lot but I saw no one the entire way up.Reported it to the ranger station when I got down.
Other than that, really nice easy trail with manageable snow.

The trails to Silver Falls and lower Golden Falls are short and easy. They provide nice views of the falls and an opportunity to get sprayed by Silver Falls. If you are able to handle a short stretch of moderate hiking, the short jaunt off the upper golden falls trail to get behind silver falls is well worth the climb. Don't miss the longer hike to the top of Golden Falls. It is a little more strenuous than the lower hikes, but the view at the top is well worth it. We took the whole family, aged 6 to 40, and everyone loved it. As others have stated, follow the road signs, not Google Maps, once you get to Kruse Rd. (10 miles out from the trailhead).

Did it in 3min snow. Love It

Wonderful hike! A little muddy but still enjoyable. However, I almost missed the pool! If you reach a sign that says “does not loop around” you’ve gone too far.

Went today and was absolutely breathtaking! The snow was really coming down, as a snow storm was happening. Lots of fresh powder & only people out there. Had to park and walk just over a mile to trail head but the walk was pretty too. If you’re in the area DO THIS! Easy, flat, beautiful. Snowshoes are a must, deep deep snow.

A pleasant enough walk with some nice views, perfect if you only have an hour or so. If you have more time, definitely head out onto one of the longer hikes though.

Nice walk around the lake. Mellow enough to take it as a stroll. Friend and I went in mid-January on a clear blue sky day. Though we started the hike at 1pm we could still admire the crystal clear water, finished around 4:30. Can't wait to go back again and admire it on a bright summer day!

This place is so gorgeous it looks even prettier with the snow everywhere loved it!!

Very lovely hike that features two easy/short trails to the base of each waterfall and a long hike that goes around the area. I did the two short trails and was rewarded with a beautiful view of each of the two waterfalls. The drive out to this area is long, but beautiful. I visited these waterfalls on a rainy day in June. The trails do get muddy and slippery. Wear shoes with good traction.

Much longer hike than the 1.6 miles listed. The larger loop and loop along the shore totaled about 7.5 miles!! Great hike though! Lots of people with snow shoes but it was a nice packed trail and they weren’t really needed. We used ice spikes but we would have been fine in just boots. Can’t wait to do this again in the summer months!
