First time there and it was beautiful. Flat, paved walk. Great for the family. Lots of people!

beautiful trail!

Open last weekend. Great trail.

My favorite hike near the Springs! So beautiful at the top.

It was pretty, a little overrated. There are prettier hikes of that distance and difficulty at Cheyenne Canon.

My favorite hike in North Cheyenne! The view at the top is absolutely stunning and worth the steep climb near the top. Did it today and it's a little icy at spots but definitely doable without yaktraxs/spikes. Highly recommend this hike :)

The rating for this trail is accurate, there are a few spots where it is a little more difficult when there is ice and snow. The views at the top are pretty awesome, you can see the city on the east side of the summit and the mountains on the west side. Parking is good, about 10-12 spots. I know it states dogs need to be leashed but when I did the trail I passed about 10 different hikers with dogs running free.

Lovely views! Came midday and only ran into a few other single hikers. The snow is mostly melted. There are snowy spots but it’s mostly packed down. I wore normal hiking boots and had no problem, didn’t need yaktrax or spikes. A little icier coming down especially at the top, but with careful feet you’ll be fine. As long as it doesn’t snow again, you could do it in tennies with good grip or trail running shoes... both groups I ran into only wore these.

Stunning view from the top, especially with the snow and Christmas lights around the city. Trail was lightly covered in snow, definitely icy in spots from being packed down. Spikes not necessary, yaktrax may have been a little helpful in the icier areas, but also not a necessity. Left the trailhead at 4:30pm, jogged (slowly) about half of the trail back down and got to the car by 5:15 just as it got dark enough for a headlamp. Short and sweet!

Mostly an easy trail with about a half mile of moderate hiking. The views are nothing to write home about and a lot of the trail is pretty chopped up from people hiking and riding in the mud.

Definitely hard finding the trail head. But what was a great hike even with the snow and ice.

Trail extremely icy. Snow melt and refreeze creating an ice crust.

I’ve been trying to find this stinking trail head for months and was so excited to finally hike it!!! Probably not the smartest in late November seeing as it was a ton of ice and we slid the whole way. I will come back to it in the spring but this time of year I don’t recommend for kids or older people or anyone who doesnt mind falling a lot. So exciting to find all 7 bridges though.

Very pretty rock formations. Flat walk/hike mostly on pavement.

Great little place! It’s smaller then you think but still beautiful!

This is an easy trail with a big and beautiful payoff! So worth the short hike. The views are breathtaking! Just watch out for of the ground is covered in ice in the winter.

Just amazing! This trail kicked my tail, if it’s during the snow months bring micro spikes. There was a lot of ice making for an adventurous trip back down. The views and scenery breathtaking.

A grand few hours with my three year old lad. Pretty skippy at the bottom and we took our time coming down but we made it up and back safe and sound. Some lovely views and we only saw about eight other folks the whole time so it was perfect.

Great winter hike on a snow covered trail. Unfortunately, we did not get to enjoy the views at the top as it was very cloudy. A long-tailed weasel crossed our path with a vole in its mouth and we also saw a woodpecker. There were also several dogs not on leashes as well as bagged (and unbagged) dog poop littering the trail.

Loved it!!

First hike on a Cheyenne Mountain trail, heavy snow and white out. Ice under the snow in areas . I needed teeth on my boots, the gear I had was to wimpy. Steep in areas, challenging for a short legged person to do. Nice workout. Even with the weather we ran into four other groups. We opted for this trail because the road was too slick for us to go any further up the mountain. They closed the road as we were leaving.

If you are an avid hiker, this is not very exciting.

Some pretty underwhelming bridges. I will say the middle of Cheyene Canon was very nice though. It was super windy, very quiet and peaceful, may as well just hang out around the center and views from the side and skip the bridges.

This is an easy loop and not even a little moderate. There are more interesting trails in the park. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a wonderful easy little loop, but there are other trails in the park that make it clear this one can’t be 5 stars.

Driven this road once, and especially through the part in Nevada marveled at how many valleys and passes you go through and up and over, so many without a single sign of human civilization. Austin, Nevada is particularly interesting.

This trail gave me a tour of complete garden of the gods area. The landscape is so beautiful I can't explain in words.. Must do for everyone. Loved it.
