Wide steep fire trail till tree on left marked Top in black texter. This cuts across to the start of the ridge line climb. The ridge line is pretty intense with steep drop off either side, it’s pretty easy to navigate and has lots of good foot holds to avoid slipping off. Make sure you check the map at end of ridge line you need to climb down rock face to trail below or you’ll end up on a cliff edge. Then follow trail for another 20mins to the actual summit. The views ok but a bit underwhelming compared to the ridge line views. Pretty good trail. Check out my YouTube channel Take A Hike With Me for the virtual hike I recorded of this trail.
Great hike ! Nice views across to the cliffs! Loved the waterfalls in the distance! Wasn’t 17km like this says as I left the recording button on as we drove away ... more like 14km
2nd time doing walk! Saw a red belly black snake
Long walk to the base of the pinnacle, but the climb was pretty sweet.
Really great hike. Good variety of landscape, and great views. Make sure to wear hiking boots for the puddles.
Lovely walk. A bit slippery in the rain. Worth the effort.
Great trail, Good times and good views
Was good
If you 360 degree views, don't mind getting a little dirty, and really enjoying the rain forest walks, then this is the walk for you. Walking at the beginning and ending isn't the most exciting part, but once you start the Ship Sterns circuit, that's where the fun begins. Even though they say you can do it in four hours, take your time and take in all the views and natural beauty of this walk. Its a definite one to do at Binna Burra.
there are two loops i did the longer one & walked up to the look out also very quiet only met a few people on the way beautiful sandstone stepping stones to cross the rivers . well marked
Good walk & rock scrambling at the end. fairly easy track to follow, just keep checking that you haven't taken a wrong turn.
Awesome hike today. A little muddy but totally worth it for the water running off the Molongolee cave. Had some rain but not too bad. Definitely slippery trying to get up surprise rock so we didn’t try too hard. But we still got the view from the other side. Beautiful views when the clouds parted. Saw a carpet python who had just eaten something pretty big. It didn’t care about us walking by. Watch out for leaches. I actually got one on ankle right at the end.
Amazing effort. Worth to get to the top. On of my fav! My 7 y old girl found the climbs and descents a bit challenging but managed to finish the nearly 12 km
Beautiful rainforest start with lots of bird life. Great views across the valley from Pat’s Bluff. Saw what we believe were the ruins from Pat’s cabin. View from python rock was great - can see back across to Moran’s waterfall & can see part of O’Riellys Retreat! Also saw eagle soaring in the distance.
Bit muddy Not as amazing as other reviews.
This is a great track through different environments. I’ve previously walked it in the dry, but not today. Very different in the wet and with lots of water flowing. A lovely walk either way.
