Beautful hike, but yes be careful, We had a close encounter with a pretty big rattlesnake.

beastly climb to top of ridge but worth it. BE CAREFUL OF COPPER HEADS! We came across one sunning itself in the middle of the ridge trail.

fun short hike with a good view once you reach the first vista.

good trail. just too easy for me~

first of all this trail is not easy. second it is blazed with orange then yellow to go throne room outlook. it starts out on a driveable road until you reach the sign with an American flag which tells you that throne room is 1 km up the path and butler is 3.2 km. we did not get to go to butler due to time and trying to find this trail but the views off throne were rewarding. we frequently hike and it was quite difficult at times with the rocks. my fiance's dad 64 yrs was able to do it though.

One of the best IMBA trails I have ever ridden to date. The black diamonds are challenging, a lot of jump spots with Dips, on my full suspension trek fuel ex 8 I was getting tossed around that is how rough some of these landings and trails were. I will be planning to go back next summer. It is an amazing trail and it’s worth checking out. I drove 6 hours to ride this trail and it was worth the time.

What a neat geological attraction! I enjoyed the beauty of the CCC stone stairs, which I think add a lot to the scenic beauty of this trail-especially next to rainbow falls.

Easy trail but very, very rocky. Don't do this trail if you don't enjoy hiking on rocks. Did run into a rattler as well. Did not see any other hikers and the trail is well maintained.

Short hike .. kid friendly. Beautiful scenic route and the balanced rock outlook is breathtaking.

It was a rainy day so the rock helped us stay dry during a downpour. One trail sign was broken, so we had to guess which way to go. The other trails in that area were more fun.

Great trail, but be on the look out for rattlesnakes in the boulder fields. I ran into two, so I was a bit too paranoid to really enjoy myself.

Not groomed but lots of fun.

Awesome hike, trail markers change from blue to yellow. We decided to make a loop with the Mid State Trail and that made for a much more challenging hike! Best hike I’ve done in PA so far!

Trail should be rated moderate. Generally flat. If you like climbing amongst the rocks this trail has them. Returned on the MST back to Pine Grove.

Such a nice little hike, many other trails in the area to make a longer more challenging hike.. Balanced Rock viewing area was well worth seeing

Cool afternoon perfect for a day hike.

Best in State College

Did this a few summers ago. Great views, and great bears crossing the trail.

Clearly marked red blazed trail. Easy walk , until you come to where the trail takes you up the mountain to the Vistas. Sign says it's a 1 km hike up, I didn't track it, but, although not a long distance, it was a work out. It is a steep and fairly rocky climb to the top. Definitely wear proper footwear. Once to the top, you will be rewarded by beautiful views and it's WELL worth the climb. Wish, we would have had more time to continue along the trail past the throne room! However, I wouldn't rate the climb to the Vista as easy, but rather moderate- hard.

Such a fun little hike. And what’s nice is that if you want a longer hike, there are several longer trails close by that attach to it. Highly recommended .

It was surprisingly very short, but an easy little hike. Falls didn't have too much water this time of year but it was beautiful none the less! Also, it's pretty close to some beautiful places near Raystown Lake.

This trail is extremely over grown. There is no trail, it's all bush whacking. There is no trail, just trees and mud. Do NOT come here for a casual hike, you'll need to invest some good day light

This was a very nice hike. There are multiple trails that you can hike on with some very nice views along the way. I would say all the trails range from easy to moderate. A very nice place for hiking.

This is a perfect trail to take toddlers and young hikers on. Short with a lot of different sites and experiences-a suspension bridge, a waterfall, balanced rock, a few little bridges over the creek, and a rock beach where you can get in and swim around. The kids loved it and were able to walk the whole way. they never got bored because there was something new around every corner.

One of the very few trails that both beginners and experienced riders can enjoy. The trails are laid out cleverly to limit the impact of hill climbs.

It was a short trail and very easy hike! (Almost too easy) We started at the suspension bridge, made our way past rainbow falls, and then ended up at balanced rock. There was a decent amount of people there. It made it hard to take pictures without other people in it.

Had my first encounter with a rattlesnake on this trail, but otherwise a great view by the power lines and a relatively easy hike
