Loved it! The view wasn’t the best at the top, but the overall hike was great.

Running and jumping through the rock structures is a blast! Views from the cliffs are pretty incredible for the area. The tower took away from the natural beauty a bit but overall it was decent hike.

Fun trail... beautiful views especially with the fall leaves. Lots of dogs which i loves. I didn’t like the loud music some patrons were playing...I believe there should be a rule about that. It disrupted our hike.

It was late afternoon by the time we reached Rocktop trail from the Sparrow Springs parking lot. Fallen leaves can make for unsure footing on the rocks but it wasn’t a difficult trail. We enjoyed the expansive views and spiny rock formations along the spine of the mountain.

I wouldn’t take young children on Rocktop trail due to steep drop-offs.

Rocktop trail meets a gravel road that leads up to Rocktop Tower. You have to trace the righthand side of the tower to reach Crowders Mountain Trail. From the summit you descend stair steps then follow a manicured, shady trail to return Sparrow Springs parking lot.

A very steep incline. Must watch your step! This was a great workout. Will definitely be back!

There are several routes to choose from. .8 miles to about 6. It’s just a dirt path through the woods so you need to watch your step. But nice for only $1 per person. There is a small dirt bike ramp track at the beginning of the trail.

Good exercise, beautiful view!

Did this hike early on a cool Sunday morning with my parents. They are in their 60’s and we needed to take breaks for knees and lungs :) The trail is beautiful. Steep at points. But the pay off with the views are spectacular. The leaves were changing colors — magnificent!

Hiked Sulfur Springs Trail with my wife on 10/27/2018. Map My Hike recorded us going 4.67 miles and at 2:46:23 long. We took our precious time and stopped many times for pictures and some moving time lapse videos so your time will vary. I recommend doing the hike going clockwise. That way you’ll climb steep at first and alongside a creek and then come down easily. The trail is well marked and maintained for convenience. The tough part of the trail starts shortly after the dam/pond and isn’t quite as tough as I thought it would be. My wife and I completed this hike rather easily and would definitely recommend it for those looking for a nice hike on Paris Mountain.

This was nice strenuous hike up to a mesmerizing view. Completely worth the effort to see. Stunning views.

Nice and easy walk. Bring $5 for parking.

Very pretty hike in Upstate area. Loved the uphill alongside the stream. Downhill leg gets a little monotonous. Took the spur up to top of Firetower. Definitely worth it. All told we were at 5.4 miles.

I’m from Louisiana where we don’t have anything higher than an interstate overpass. This was an awesome experience. And if you are a first timer I would label this as “hard” the last portion is very steep and it’s almost as difficult on the way down trying to keep your brakes on. But as everyone says well worth it. Awesome view. Bring a snack sit down and enjoy. I will be returning this following weekend for great exercise.

on Sulphur Springs Trail

Had a great time! First half was very tough for me, but after the halfway point it was mostly a gradual downhill. Completely tree covered. Nice small waterfalls. I will definitely come back!

I enjoyed this hike and will do it again. Took about 2 hours taking our time. There are a few benches along the way to stop for a break if needed. Everything was well marked.

Well maintained trail through beautiful trees and flora. Trail is well marked.

I didn’t find it as hard as it sounds. The view from the top was astounding!

I hate a gravel path trail! The views at the top make it worthwhile though

Great hike with some verticals so you are getting a nice workout! Once you get up keep going to the right and enjoy a awesome almost 360 lookout that many people miss, you do have to scramble to get there but worth it!

nice climb , the view from the top was fantastic. will be going back soon

It was really worth it. I’m pretty inexperienced and it was definitely hard but the views were well worth it! Just don’t stop where the signs say the trail ends. There is a short climb to the top and it is absolutely breath taking!

we started clockwise and it was smooth going, with few mountain bikes. coming down from this direction (on the part where bikes are not allowed) was pretty technical. once we got to the dam and the waterfall the rest of the walk out was easy.

This is my favorite of all the Paris Mountain trails!

Great hiking trail to do with my dogs, easy to go back to the parking lot when they get tired. There were a lot of connecting trails that I’m excited to see in the future. Will definitely be coming back.

Really fun trail. Take a picnic and enjoy the views from the overlook while you have lunch. I started at the visitors center about 4:00 on a Sunday, not too crowded. I do recommend adequate shoes. I didn’t think it would be bad and wore a pair of sneakers. Wish I would have worn my hiking shoes. GPS had my hike at 4.75 round trip. Great hike!

Started at the big sign on the left and hiked it clockwise.

Leisurely as you start out, but becomes more challenging as you get near the pond and begin climbing. After that, it will gas you. Don’t let anyone here kid you, the stretch from the lake up to the road would wear out a goat.

After that, it smooths out and becomes a stroll downhill on a bike path. It twists and turns for a few miles and is a beautiful hike. Highly recommended...just have your heart right (literally) for the first 2 Miles.

I tracked the loop at 4.4 miles, so it is a bit longer than listed.

easy but rewarding; great views from the top of the Pinnacle

Beautiful, shaded hike. Be careful to read signage appropriately! There are many connector trails to this trail- so heads up! But over all it was a wonderful experience!

Well, I couldn't say I captured Crowders at sunset unless I also got it at the Pinnacle Summit.

First 3/4 of the trail a nice uphill climb that includes a small boulder field that is fun change of pace. Once you reach the split for Ridgeline trail the real work begins. The top of the trail offers some great views of the surrounds area. Even found a spot at the top to string up my hammock and take a short break before starting back. Would definitely do this one again. I went on Labor Day weekend and the place was packed.
