good trail as fun for biking

Once you get past the families picnicking and waterfall Instagrammers, you hit a lovely technical trail. Lots of shade, single file with some nice rocks and tree trunks to navigate.
We parked on thw shoulder approx. 7-mins walk away and just paid admission fees: $6.00 per person.

I’d been looking forward to this for so long and it sadly missed the mark by a mile. It’s a boring walk along an old road. No where to sit and rest. You get practically run over by bikes at every turn. Definitely not worth it.

The area with the falls and fountain is beautiful, and worth seeing, The information in the description of this trail above, isn't exactly accurate. The Belfountain trail is only about 1.5km lont, it does split off onto part of the Bruce Trail. The rating of Easy. isn't accurate either, they have signs up saying challenging. We went after a night of rain and the trail is full of rocks and roots which were slippery. It is also very steep in areas, even to the point where they put stairs and boardwalks in certain spots. Its a nice area but the trail is defiantly not suitable for people with mobility issues

Nice paved trail. A little busy with bikers but they all seem to have bells so all was good. It was a hot summer day and there is not much shade. As I had my dogs we took a few trips down to the river to cool off. But I wasn’t able to go as far as I wanted. Will come back in the cooler weather for sure.

Beautiful area!! We hiked to the falls and back.
Had lunch at the falls, where fires are kept going.
I would say this is an easy hike & really enjoyable.

To clarify a couple things ...

Belfountain is not a 5km trail. It’s more like 1km. It’s easy and includes a dam/waterfall, suspension bridge, and river edge access. Mostly technical trail walking with some paths. Very nice. This first part was a bit busy. Parking is $10 but we parked on shoulder near general store and walked the two minutes to park. $6 entry.

For more technical hiking, continue on to Trimble Side Trail. It’s “single track” style. Way less busy and gets more into the forest.

Very busy park in the heart of Brampton. Definitely not “hiking” more like manicured dirt paths and paved trail. However, it’s a lovely place to go for a stroll or hangout with the family for a picnic. Dogs must (and should) be on leash. There is an entrance fee during the open season but during the closed season, there are LOTS of dog walking regulars who do not leash their dogs-so, be aware if you don’t like that.

nice trail that's full of mixed levels trails. definitely not for families with young kids. good signage at the start but then trails split and things get confusing due to lack of signage. certain parts definitely require skill and proper gear.

A surprisingly fun local hike with a bunch of crevices and escarpment features.

Very nice trail. Medium difficulty, paved and easy to follow. It goes cloes to an abandoned railway and offers great view over the city. I ended up in an old factory and clay quarry. A must do to my opinion.

nice trail but maintenance needed urgently . Some areas nature took trail out completely.

Great easy trail with wide pathways if you have a larger group. The overall hike was short but if you prefer waterfalls then it's a great place to go.

Great place for a quick hike! Please remind any yahoos you see to not climb over the fences to climb on the mill ruins. They are in danger of collapse due to irresponsible photo seekers.

It was our first trail in Toronto and we were pretty impressed. it's a long trail and lots of greenery and open spaces. perfect for cyclists and running. we enjoyed a long walk and had a picnic as well. the humber river runs by the trail and makes for some good pictures.

Just beautiful
