This is one of my favorite trails in Austin. It's mostly shady and criss-crosses a creek multiple times. I usually only see a few people on the trail.

This is NOT a mountain biking trail. It is for hiking and dogs. The mountain biking tag shouldn't be on this.

We started this hike with a climb to the summit on the summit trail. Once we reached the top, we explored the opposite side of the rock and some of the rocks along the edge, eventually following the contour of the rock until we found a spot where we could safely make it down to the trail below.

Once we were on the trail we picked our way through the stones along a rough section of the trail until we arrived at the climbing area. From here we caught the base trail along the north side of Enchanted Rock until we hit the junction with The Turkey Pass trail We turned right and headed south with about 200 feet of additional elevation gain. This saddle between two higher points makes the perfect spot to cross back over to the south side of the rock. Once on the other side we went around Frog pond and caught the mail loop trail back to the car. Thankfully this last section had a little shade for as we finished out the hite;

Overall the majority of this hike is pretty easy with just a few locations with some elevation gain.

Beautiful hike and creek. Easy for all ages. Also, dog friendly.

Beautiful trail with plenty of wandering chances

If you're looking for a long, challenging and lost in the woods trail, look no further. I went in there thinking it would take me 30 min, boy was I in for a surprise. It took me 2 hours and a half to complete the trail, and I walk kinda fast.
STICK TO YOUR RIGHT! You'll come at several forks, but if you stick to your right you'll be fine. An amazing trail, highly recommended.

great hidden gem

Good after a rain. Can become dry during summer during drought years ESP waterways.

Really scenic area. Great place for dogs!
Good distance on the trail, not too much splitting, clearly marked. Mix of steep, rocky/rooty hills and flatter areas. Would be careful running on this trail, surface is uneven at times. One of my favorite trails in Austin!

Starts off pretty flat but does elevate. Breaks into multiple trails, which are marked. Easy to navigate on the side with the parking lot, clearly marked. harder to navigate on the other side, lots of rocky/steep ledges & not marked. Got lost, but was fun haha. Will hike this again!

Convenient hike that is enjoyable year round. Even in August this hike was pleasant due to the shady path, but it is definitely best after a rain or when there's been a rainy season. Full of people and off-leash dogs and, unfortunately, entirely too many bags of dog poop left on the trail by irresponsible owners who can't be bothered carrying out their dog's poop.

A wonderful rush where there’s plenty of shade and a few long stretches of sun. Bring plenty of water if you’re going the whole way ! I had a good time jogging through, hope everybody else does as well

I wouldn’t follow this, stick to the trails. I was bushwhacking half way through and county continue because of the overgrowth.

Loved it! Short trails with relaxing creek scenery and beautiful park. I even saw 4 friendly deer during my run!

It was amazing

Great place to take dog, plenty of creek crossings and shaded areas to enjoy area. Downside is that the secret is out and can get pretty crowded.

Amazing, shaded, easy off-leash trail. My best fur-friend and I LOVED this trail. One caveat, there are spots at the beginning (and, upon return) to be careful with your dog; the road is very close and, if you have an explorer like mine, they can shoot out there.

Took the kids, took the dogs. Lots of creek crossing and places to splash. Almost entirely shaded.

The trail is marked fairly well. There were a number of beautiful spots to enjoy the view. There was road noise for a good portion of the trail.

Great place to enjoy with your dog. The further you hike the more private swimming ops become.

BEAUTIFUL walk! There were wildflowers and cacti and a creek you could swim in. There’d were a lot of side trails, so I had to keep this app open to keep me on the official trail. It should be noted that you have to cross the creek to do this loop.

Love this walk in the woods.... scenic , creeks & elevation changes... the neighborhood did a great job with this park!

Good hike with kids. Some parts rocky and steep but kids handled it well. Lots of different paths to take and great spots for kids to play in the water. Recommend getting there early. Parking fills up.

This is the trail I run most often. It’s about 2.6 mile loop, but you can double back at the “lollipop head” and go back in the other direction to get about 3.9 miles.
Has a couple good inclines/declines and you cross the creek several times. This is a really fun trail to run and a good workout.

Ok route, very well marked and traveled.

Beautiful trail with longhorns. We were fortunate to see them with their young calves. Fast twisted turns on lower course and thrilling drops along the creek bed in the upper course.
