Very nice to walk or run. We went off the paved road to get wonderful views of the rocks and tide pools. Lots of seals and birds to see along this trail. The water treatment plant does smell horrible, so best to get your heart rate up and jog during that part. It’s also very “industrial” around that area and you lose close up views of the ocean, which our group didn’t like. I did this all the way to Glass Beach from the south parking lot.
Really awesome trail have a lot of different sceneries. Parking is a bit difficult to find so come prepared with patience. Found a spot in the nearby residential streets.
Increíble
Beautiful easy trail. Lots of off leash areas for our dogs and a good hike for seniors like my dad who wants to hike but can’t do hills.
Really nice trail with great views. Lots of areas off the main trail for some additional views. Very busy trail.
amazing trail! nice views, variety of terrain, beatiful
Beautiful views and flat, but very windy and cold! Wearing a windbreaker is essential for this hike.
Very pretty views!
Good hike! Can get very steep. DONT GO ON THE WEEKENDS!! Very populated
It is beautiful, but if you are going to see the Labyrinth it is GONE . If you go early in the morning (6:30-7) you miss most of the tourists. I went down the stairs to the beach but there was a coyote down on the beach. I didn’t want to disturb so I went back to the trail and a higher trail that brought me to overlook where the labyrinth once was. Still a beautiful view with specs of sea glass and a great view of the GG Bridge.
loved it. very scenic.
Nice views easy walk.
Really nice hike, recommend starting counter clockwise to get the hill out of the way early. Beautiful views on a clear day! My dog had soooo many ticks so watch out for them!
First time on this peak. Went on a Saturday. Arrived at 11 am. It wasn’t too bad in terms of crowding. It was a good workout.
the trail was a great fix of terrain. lots of stairs! make sure to check at every junction to see if your going the right way. kind of easy to get on a different trail.
Awesome trail starts off slow and easy took lots of pictures so pretty everything in color . There was a glitch I think part of trail is out from bushes . Up over to the beach was unexpected and hard coming back for me ! Worth the sweat !
Wonderful trail! Do it clockwise as recommended for the best work out and views (I wouldn’t want to go downhill for 5 miles). Good birdwatching and the beginnings of spring wildflowers. In a few weeks they’ll be popping! Also make sure you turn off for the summit if you want to reach the peak!
My favorite since coming to CA. Perfect balance of challenging and enjoyable. Not too crowded at all. Just enough people to say hello to wo crowding the trail. I hiked wo anyone in sight for the vast majority of the trail. There are 4 or 5 river crossings that are all very doable. Two (I think) have wooden beams across them to help you cross but I found it easier to hop across the rocks. Very well marked trail-even I didn’t get lost which is saying a lot! Still trying to figure out All trails maps. There is absolutely NO cell signal whatsoever, anywhere near by. I download the trail to help me find my way but if I pause the recording I’m not able to find the map again when I’m ready... frustrating. Be prepared for the drive to and from. I have driven literally across the country and through mountain chains and over mountain passes in snow storms and the was harder driving. Very narrow roads winding around changing directions wo being able to see around the curve and no guard rails even along the outside with nothing but cliff drops. Don’t take your eyes off the road even for a second. But don’t let this deter you. It’s still a beautiful drive and a bit sad as you drive through what used to be forest before the wildfires. I would not want to do this drive after the sun sets.
