Can be a bit of a treacherous descent and a hard climb out, but well worth the effort.

One of the shortest, but most difficult hikes we've taken. Straight up and down, but the falls and swimming hole were worth every step!

hiked this trail at 730am and it was beautiful and peaceful. The only strenuous part was the stairs coming back up from the falls, very rocky.

A really nice trail. The waterfalls at the end are excellent but the trail makes you work for it. Trail is a mix of flat walking and quite rocky. There are 4 water crossings which were manageable even with the wet summer.

Gorgeous Waterfall at the end

About half way down you will question whether or not it’s worth it. It is.

This was a nice, easy hike to take up an afternoon. We took the high trail and it was easy to miss the turn down the stairs to the falls. It’s a great place to take a dip

Make sure you screenshot or have a hard copy of directions to get there as there is no cell service most of the way. The trail is very steep and can be done in chocos but I would not recommend it. It is beautiful once you get to the bottom and definitely a challenge but very fun.

Hadn’t hiked the falls in probably 8 years or longer, but had a blast. Took the kiddos (4 and 6) and they did very well. Trail is in good shape, creek crossings were fairly deep in places since all the rain lately in the area. The falls were beautiful, again from all the rain lately they were flowing heavy! I definitely recommend this trail for some beautiful scenery. I have hiked this trail since I was a kid and have always loved how it follows the creek up the mountain.

This trail was great. It is mostly shaded the whole way up. It was mostly on an incline till you get to the top, so some in the group had some struggles. We only saw two large waterfalls, but they was magnificent. I will definitely do this hike again.

Great trail not too hard and awesome view the entire walk but but not marked well so make sure you just keep to the right at every turn on the way up. Taking the left goes up rattlesnake Ridge and hits no water and a very like hike still a great view but much harder and no waterfall

hard going down and up but when you get down and to the falls it's worth it

No view on this hike during summer.

Today was our first time on this trail... if you aren’t familiar it can get sorta confusing! Once you come to the first split, it’s A LOT shorter & easier instead of cutting left.. (like we did) the waterfall is DEFINITELY worth the hike! We ran into 4 snakes, 2 were very close we could have stepped on.. wasn’t very crowded at all with several places to stop; so much beautiful scenery.... overall it was an amazing hike!! :)

Mostly easy hike. There were some short sections that might be just a little challenging to those who aren’t as coordinated (me). Loved the fact that the trail followed the river for a good bit.

Hard going down, but worth it all! You can even jump off the first waterfall!

Great hike and views. Steady incline the whole way up.

Good easy hike for family even with small kids. Watch out for snakes along river.

one of my all time favs if for no other reason than nostalgia.

Good clear path with no trash on it...always good to see responsible hikers. Counted 4 water crossings that could be challenging for some to cross and stay dry. Waterfall at the end was great even though there had been a dry spell

A nice walk in the woods. The overnight rain left the rocky descent to the falls a little slippery. Overall, a good out and back trail making the falls very accessible. I was concerned that the warning signs about swimming near the falls had been removed. As a local, I am all too familiar with the drownings that have occurred here and this review is more to caution users of the trail to this fact than to add to what others have said.

it took me a mile to find the trail !!Hiking is not marked until you go to the back of the camp.Beautiful trail !!

It is a great 5mi hike. parking is limited but some trail magic parking just past the entrance.

This is a great enduring hike. The entire hike is generally uphill and rocky at some points. Because it had rained a lot the week we went we had to cross over 3 or 4 creek crossings which ended up soaking our shoes. Keep that in mind if it rains prior to your hike. the falls at the very end is gorgeous and was so powerful given the rain. Beautiful!!!

Excellent hike! I really had to push myself towards the end where it was steep and exhausted from the humidity. Thankfully, the vast majority of this trail is tree covered, which significantly lowers the temperature. It was a little confusing finding the trail head. There are signs for everything except the hiking. Go towards the back, away from the road. The signs for the trail will be near the camping area.

The falls are beautiful, the hike down is as rough as people say it is. Wear good shoes and bring some shoes to swim in!

Short but very hard. Great swimming area at the falls.

Beautiful scenery all along the river that this trail follows. Can be challenging in places, this trail has some steep areas. The view is well worth it. Pictures don’t do Laurel Falls justice, would highly recommend this trail to anyone.
