Beautiful trail. Starts to the left of the parking lot. Very fun to hike with snow at the top, would definitely recommend chains. The views were incredible and well worth the hike.

Great trail for hiking. Bring a map. Well defined trail but intersects with numerous other trails within Arcadia. Lots of options to make hike as long as you want. Easily can do loop just around Pond, about 1.5 miles total. Great views. Wear your orange during hunting season. Good parking lot.

Even in early November there was still quite a bit of color. Tricky to find the start of the trail but once you do it the trail is well marked with yellow dashes. Going down was more difficult to me with the slick rocks, I fell 6 times, but it was the day after a moderate rain. Amazing views and a great first New England hike.

I love the Champney brook trail. Beautiful waterfalls about 1.5 miles into the hike. From there the grade goes up a little bit as you hike towards the first outlook. The outlook to the summit offer some rock scrambling and great views. The summit is breathtaking. 360* views. Easily one of the best hikes in N.H. More rewarding than many of the 4,000 footers in the area. A must do hike.

Very easy to find trailhead, super easy to find your way, very well marked. A good trail for beginning trail runners, just enough rocks, roots and wet leaves and to make it interesting. No steep or long climbs, just enough to get the blood moving. Pretty wooded area.

Great trail, good terrain variety. View from the top was fantastic!

Easy and rewarding.

Very nice moderate hike. Views of the lake at various spots on way up. Summit has views north and I’m told if you continue off the summit on the Ridge Line Trail there are nice views north about a mile or so down. Enjoyable hike... would definitely do it again in the future.

It was so nice for me and my dog

Amazing. Rough going up, super easy coming down. The view at the top is worth it.

Definitely moderate to difficult because of the rocky trail and scrambling of rocks. View is worth it completely! We went with a 7 and 9 year old and it took 5.5 hours with lots of breaks.

Beautifully scenic views...

I enjoy a good rock scramble. This trail has a lot of loose rocks. A couple steep spots to begin with, but it eventually levels out. Some nice views off the lookouts. I just didn’t enjoy this trail.

Great hike! Challenging terrain but not overwhelming. Make sure to check the weather before you go, since there isn’t a lot around the mountain to act as a buffer for extreme winds! It took us around 5 hours to complete.

Wonderful hike! Great views of the lake at various points prior to reaching the peak which has interesting views up to the whites. Washington snow shrouded on this October day. I’m told there is a view point about a mile further from the peak along Ridge Line Trail. The trail is well marked and moderate. The day was topped off by a hawk landing on the trail directly in front of us near the end of the hike.

A lot of rocky ground. If raining can be hazardous.
Good 360 view at the top.

Really nice hike with great views. Major bonus that its dog-friendly. After doing this “moderate” hike, I’ll never do a “hard” one :) it was challenging! Steep and rocky, but the 360 view from the top made it all worth it.

Great hike through a wooded deciduous forest with a stream parallel to the trail at the start. Quite a bit of work has resulted in a climb that is strenuous but moderate.
The summit affords exposed granite spectacular 360 degree views.

Better than white dot trail by far!! We went too early this past Saturday so very foggy at the top. It cold very quickly, I saw people in sandals and no tshirts going by us. Be prepare don't be one of those people. I took us an hour and 45 minutes going up.

lovely trail. great in snow. done it many times. narrow & hilly. good workout. total trail length including out-and-back is more like 7 miles/about 2.5 hrs. Only drawback is no streams crossing. there's pond at end of green trail. blue trail crosses/overlaps a road for 50 yards. also can do cemetery part of trail not on map, but good. best trail in sk imo.

Excellent trail - wonderful 360 view from top.
With lunch break just under 4 h return.

Great views during climb and at the top (360 views until the fog rolled in). Fall colors were out in full force and amazing! Trail conditions were good but could see how this would be trickier in wet conditions.

Great trail conditions nice views until clouds cover

Absolutely gorgeous. It was a very rewarding hike at the peak with a large rocky area and a panoramic view of the entire surrounding ranges. It was a pretty tough hike in all honesty, but I also wore regular sneakers which complicated things lol. We completed it in about 4 and a half hours and will definitely do it again - highly recommend to others for a good half-day activity! Perfect for fall foliage! :)

Challenging, rewarding, beautiful. Great forest setting. Well marked. Definitely tricky if there’s lots of wet rocks. I found boots to be a good choice and wish I had brought my trekking pole. Was very populated today. The last stretch is the hardest but it’s worth it.

Just finished this and am quite tired. Definitely was not expecting it to be as difficult as it was. Still, I would highly recommend this trail for the amazing scenery and 360 degree view at the top. Also seemed to be a good amount of traffic so there’s always a good amount of people at the summit or on the trail before 4 pm.

Hiked with my 6 and 10 year olds.

I really enjoyed this hike which isn't always the case. My 10 year old and I plan on coming back in the winter. Neither child struggled although we did notice the elevation gain.

We did not find the climb gradual; the trail typically had repeating steep sections followed by flat. We didn't fully summit though - at the second overlook, we saw thick clouds moving in and feared rain. The decent would have been really tricky if wet. Regardless, the views at both overlooks were beautiful and the trail itself was lovely and well marked.

Great hike. I'm not a fan of flat rock, and these were slick in spots. Otherwise, would've been 5 stars. Crowded after 12:00 on weekends.

Light traffic on this trail with a gradual climb. Beautiful vistas along the trail with views of Winnipesaukee. View from the summit is not as spectacular. About 3/4 of the trail is deep woods.
