This trail has amazing scenery, from around the lake, up on the ridge, and down in the valley. Only problem was we kept finding ourselves losing the trail due to all the switchbacks and poorly marked trails. It ended up being a 16 mile hike in approx 7-8 hours. We started out in coon hollow going towards the flume trail head.

Would be better if marked better

just made it to the end and its beautiful!!

Great trail! The only downfall is it having potholes. And, don't bring your 55 yr. old dad.

Went with my friend and we took our pups, lots of loops to explore, loved it.

Great trail! Fun for the whole family and is stroller friendly.

Loved the trail; however we were unprepared to cross 4 bridges over rushing water. Good thing we could sit and scoot across! Also easy to get lost due to no signage to guide you. Hard to know which way to go!

Easy. Great views and dog friendly. I highly recommend this for a leisurely stroll or beginners.

We love this trail! Beautiful, and dog friendly which is a plus. The beach that it leads out to is gorgeous. Definitely would recommend this to a beginner. Not much elevation, so really it’s great just as a walk or run.

Good paved and gravel trail until the end. Views of the Puget Sound are great with many sea run coastal cutthroat trout active off the beach. This is an excellent local, evening hike for the family or a quick run.

Great run down to the water, with a rewarding view once you get there. If you’re running, it’s a little steep and challenging coming back up to the top! Overall a peaceful, beautiful trail perfect for families, couples or solo explorers

Beautiful walk through the woods to the beach.

My girlfriend and I loved this. We did it in conjunction with Mckenny Trail and had a great 9 mile hike. I would say moderate/easy difficulty as there are not many sustained climbs. We did run into a couple folks on horseback and several bikers. There is some horse manure but it was not enough to warrant any frustrations for us. If I could do this trail again it would be on a mountain bike. Would have been great to ride in my opinion.

Gorgeous walk thru tree canopy, sounds of the creek and birds, so lovely! Beautiful view of the sound at the end!

I was so excited that the mileage for this hike was actually pretty accurate! It was a nice hike to take our little dogs on because they didn’t have to climb over any large rocks and we were able to stroll the oldest one in her stroller with little difficulty. It was so much fun to see a dolphin jumping around in the water this morning too:)

Easy family trail. That leads to the water. My only complaint is the need for garbages along the trail. People have lined up there trash and dog bags all along the middle of the trial. It’s gross.

Mamas Input: Definitely an easy trail. Little foothills. Rocky path but our stroller did well because it's made for these adventures! Smells perfect! Excellent easy 1.50 miles to a beautiful view of Puget Sound. Graffiti tunnel, greenery all around (shaded walk), beach front, train tracks and sweet vegetation! The best of it all (: great for families and bike rides!

Daddy's Input: Hooah great path wet dirt rocky thick forest with trains planes ships and shore at the end

Fun, easy lope to the water and back.

Nice quiet 3 mile round trip good fast pace walk, with a nice view of the Sound.

its hot n to many horses n poo

This was a great trail. Very well maintained. The only downfall is the amount of horse poo and the trail is to narrow to both horse riders, Hikers and bikes to be on at the same time. But besides that I’d do it again.

Great hike we did about 6.6 miles there and back no loop.

Camping: sunset campground if you want to get punked by A bigfoot and spooked at 10:30 at night. Go on Fathers day weekend.

So. Much. Fun!

Love these woods! Great area for family walks, and not a far drive being ‘in-town’... I would recommend a ‘trail’ or ‘offroad’ stroller if you have little ones.

It was an easy trail, good for kids, walking and riding bikes. Wouldn't rate it moderate at all.

Beautiful view at the end of the trail. Very peaceful hike. Pet friendly.

I love this trail! Just sa a beautiful red crested woodpecker on it this morning
