Spectacular even on a cool November day!

Beautiful and short trail

Lovely easier trail, at least up to the steeper climb at the end. Those noting that the trailhead is too busy are just going in the wrong season. If you wait until the gate is closed (usually 11/1) and bike up, there is no one there at all :-) I pondered heading up the wasatch crest trail, but it looked like the snow got deeper, so I followed the ridge from Murdock over to Millvue, then bushwhacked down the slope back to the parking lot.

Water in the slot kept it interesting.
Be prepared with neoprene socks and dry cloths for the hike out. Amazing texture in the rocks

Fast, fun, family friendly hike. We enjoyed climbing on the rocks at the end near the waterfall and exploring some caves off the main trail.

I did this a couple years ago and it was gorgeous!!

Anyone know if we can still hike it now in October?? I know it says best through September but does that mean it’s closed off?

no snakes this time of year. beautiful and all to myself with the exception of a few fishermen on the river. trail was dry.

Lovely, beautiful And adventurous trail! Captivating landscapes and rock walls!

Just beautiful. Always loved going here when I was a kid.

Great hike but the waterfall is barely a trickle. There a side hike up the side of the mountain if you have the skills. Beautiful view from the top. Warning signs for mountain lions in the area, did see proof that they have been there, also saw a tarantula on the trail. Will return in the spring. Beautiful canyon.

Only putting 5 rating, because it’s an awesome workout. This is steep though. It’s actually steeper than Jacobs ladder and you end up climbing straight up the mountain connecting with trail eagle and going down to bonneville shoreline to get back. This felt more like I was hunting actually, because of terrain on last half. It was 10 miles round trip actually, but only 3 ascending. It’s steep. :)

Great Fall walk with kids. Great views and pretty water fall. Super easy trail for 4 years old. It’s steep but the wooden stairs are well built. Watch out for signs or the trail will be easily missed because it is within a residential area.

Short and beautiful!

The hike was beautiful! The water was very cold!

Great hike, lots of trees, can do just this hike or add Indian Trail into it.

This hike is a hidden gem in Zion. We didn't see many people and the views are wonderful. On my map, the distance was measured as 2.5 miles - it felt longer. After reading other reviews, it seems only the loop is actually 2.5 miles. There is a lot of sand, but it sorta adds to the hike. The views are killer. We're so happy we did this trail. Definitely go clockwise around the loop!

Did this hike yesterday. Beautiful, but less than a mile after the avalanche sign I ran into fresh mountain lion tracks that caused me to turn around. Looking forward to trying the full trail another time.

This is one of my all time favorites! Definitely a two-nighter to enjoy it! Very busy on the weekends! Start the summit very early, thunder and lightning storms come from out of nowhere in the afternoon!

amazing!!

Make sure you have at least 4 hours to ride/read all the signs or you’ll be rushed

Agreeing with the other poster about this trails rating. Once you cross the river, around the bend there is a rough spot with a lot of boulders. We went while it was wet, and there was no way for us to make it without mud tires. 3 of the 4 keeps behind us turned around and went another route. It is a beautiful, rocky ride. Very heavily travelled and several with trailers beyond where they shouldn’t have been. Most everyone is courteous.

Such a beautiful hike the entire way!!! I wish I was wearing more water appropriate shoes. It makes me want to buy Chacos. I hiked in my hiking boots and it took two days to air them out haha. There was a forest fire on the day I went and the sky was this gorgeous orange color even tho it was around noon time. The orange sky bouncing off the colors of the walls of the creek and the slot canyon were to die for. I want to bring friends here and see it again!

Great hike. Tough hike. Several steep and technical sections but overall challenging enough and very rewarding. The false summit will have you fooled but if you keep pushing, you'll make it to the top and love the views. From the the false summit to the top, the trail is a little tricky to follow. Be careful! Took me just over 3 hours roundtrip with no breaks until the top and some trail running on the way down.

Incredible hike; wishing I would have looked at this before I started. Waist high water, narrow, but mild. Some of the most beautiful slot canyons I'll ever see. Fantastic.

Zebra was very narrow, water about Waist deep, about 2/3 of the way got so narrow I turned back, one person got through that spot and the Canyon was beautiful red strips, first part was pretty too, We meet other hikers and went in back of Tunnel Canyon which we liked better not as narrow and not as much water, followed River mostly back.

Hiked all the way to the second ladder but did not go up the second ladder. It was supposed to be decommissioned, also there were a few people struggling with it and we didn’t feel like waiting so we turned around.
Water level was ankle-high most of the way, only hip-high in a few spots. Beautiful trail! Make sure you wear proper shoes. I wore water shoes which worked fine. The trail was moderately trafficked this last Saturday afternoon in September.

Nice little hike.

the views were amazing, though the incline made it a tad harder than moderate, plus.the distance. worth it though!

started around 8 am. Road up to the trail is rough, so dont go without the proper vehicle. On the way up, we only ran into one jeep. Hike up is fine, not too tough but nothing special. The fall scenery once you get to the lake is amazing though. ATVs on the way back down around 1030 ish, but not too bad.
