Great trail! The sink holes, creek crossings and natural bridges were all amazing, as were the fall colors. The trail was clearly marked and well-maintained, and the interpretative signs were interesting and in good shape. I’d love to do this trail again.

fun trail!

This is a well maintained trail. The cave is short, but fun and seems be be a little tighter with each return visit. Creek crossings are simple to navigate. Trail 10 is a good hike if you like hiking in creeks.

this was one of the best parks I have been to in a while in the midwest. It is clean and taken care of. The trails range from paved and flat to rugged, traversing the creek, up and down tougher hikes for an average person. I really enjoyed my day and was able to spend 3 hours moving through the park and viewing the awesome landscape.

Very nice!

Great views, not crowded!

Very pretty! Ran into a handful of people. Your feet will most likely get wet! Will be back

Nice wide trail. Cool cave and a few creek crossings.

Enjoyed this trail. Started with trail 8 in the campground and it connects with trail 5. A few creek crossings but no wet feet.

Well-marked trail. Enjoyed the cave and the creek crossings. A well-kept park with nice scenery. Plan to return in the fall.

This was such a nice and peaceful trail. Everything was so well cared for and well marked. It made for a nice day.

Love love loved this cave hike and afterward we took trail 3 and 10 to go check out the falls. We stayed at the falls for quite a while then headed back to Nature Center
Had a great nights sleep

Great trail! Would not grade it as hard. More of the high end of moderate. Well marked. Dachshund friendly. Great workout. No real excess to the lake.

Such a great place. So different from many places you will go to trail walk. Lots of great overlooks with beautiful views. I consider this more easy than moderate. All the trails are gravel and very well marked.

Very nice, groomed trail for more of a walk, than an actual hike. Nice scenery, enjoyable stroll, but definitely NOT a moderate hike. I really enjoyed the rim of the quarry. Hats off to DePauw for maintaining this land for recreational and educational use.

Despite my rating, the trail is very well kept, wide, well-marked, and has beautiful views. I would definitely rate this trail easy rather than moderate. I rated the trail 3 stars, because I don't consider it hiking at all. It is merely a nice stroll through a nature preserve.

Good lake views. Parking is limited.

It says for the very experience but I was able to do so quite well on it and I am about moderately experienced. I loved it. The prettiest I have seen in a long time

Moderate well marked and not busy. , but mid July @ 94 degrees may not be the best time to try it.

Went out to the wolf cave and then turned back around. Looking forward to going back to finish the trail and climb through the cave.

Gravel trail, many bridges to cross. Great views along the way.

Was on this trail yesterday and got lost when I got to the Creek… Not very well marked on the other side. Literally spent four hours yelling for help. Luckily I remembered honeycomb rock when I saw it and was able to find the path again. One of the scariest days of my life.

It’s a decent trail with low traffic. Not hard but not a moderate run either.

Enjoyable trail. We like parking by the armory and taking the connector trail down the hill to the trail which adds a degree of difficulty.

great trail, and kids even made it

A fun trail! Not well marked but manageable. There’s currently a large tree down but you are able to get through/around without issues. Be careful of the horseflies, they wouldn’t leave my dog alone.

Pure awesome is what to expect from this trail. It has a lot to offer. The hills are of adequate size to present some challenge. The trees are beautiful and most of the hike is in the shade. There are several creek crossings but with a little effort you can keep your boots dry. The falls is fun. After ending up there the first day we found it so enjoyable we returned on the second day to cool off in the water. We decided that we would buy water shoes to put in our packs for walking on rocky creek bottoms. Remember to apply bug spray with Deet, pack water, and wear good quality hiking shoes.

Great hike! The trail is moderate unless you decide to go through the cave. If you go through you will need a light and hiking shoes. We saw a lot of people in open toes. in this case the open toes lead to a ripped off toe nail. The cave trail is short but rocky. One of the cave entraces is easy to access but getting out of the other side requires a belly crawl. The opening to get out is only about 12" so I would not recommend this adventure for anyone that won't go into a crawl space. The forrest in the park are absolutely beautiful with lots of old growth trees. As always make sure you put on bug spray with deet and take water with you.
