Pretty small and the trails were confusing.

Super confusing to follow the blazes. They definitely need to be remarked.

very nice trail, love going there

The map is misleading. It takes you to the gate by the water treatment plant. You have to access this trail through Lone Star Park. Easy hike, even on a scorcher of a day. May want to go back to go fishing.

quiet, nice place to walk a dog

the trail is a bit hard to find. it is in lone star lake park. we didn't make it all the way to the trail. we will go back and know where to go next time. better signage is needed. I wasn't sure I could drive my car all the way back.

So not exactly what I was hoping for. The trails were nice, decent quality, but god was it confusing. after the fourth time of ending up back at the start after trying to take the longest "burgandy" trail, we decided to call it a day. Following the blue and yellow trails were just as confusing. They need to remark the trails and add some extra marks as well.

it was nice not hard my kids were able to do it the youngest 9 oldest 16 no issues pack a light lunch and enjoy lots of roots not bad for $2 per car

Great for hiking or rucking. Clearly posted signs with multiple trails.

Felt like a real forest experience. My dog loved it!! Only flaw is the lack of signs and we got lost several times. Need better signage/directions!

Out and back, mostly dirt and gravel road. This route only has 1 trail off shoot and it's short.

Skillet made it a fast trek.

Lovely views of the creek with many overlooks. Seemed more on the easy side than moderate. If you are quiet, you can see crabs sneak out of their muddy homes. $4 to park. Nicely marked and well kept.

Nice trail with good path and scenery.

We took our dogs walking on this trail to the lake and back. Saw a couple horseback riders.
Found lots of ticks on us afterwards in 2017.

a great jungle experience, except hard to follow the makers

Great trail. I am a runner and I am starting to get experience with trail running. I had to slow down a few times because the trail was narrow and I didn't want to slip into the embankment. Otherwise, I recommend. Good inclines. Not a lot of roots. Beautiful views.

Beautiful, short, wooded trail. We went late morning when it was to hot to normally walk with our dogs but nice and cool on the trail.

I live in the neighborhood by the park. this park is a great escape to enjoy some time in the woods and get a good workout.

Im all for a Naturalistic walk but at a point it becomes a problem when the trails look like a hurricane came through 7 months past hurricane season. Everything is overgrown / derelict. The only other people there were 16 year old stoners on the bike jumps. Then again it fits the bill for southern VA, trashy and occupied by bums. Can't wait to get back to Colorado.

Trail was pretty cool.

This is a easy great trail. I have no clue why it's listed as a moderate trail. You will have to cross a ditch or two at a slight incline, but that is the biggest challenge. Bring bug spray of some sort during the summer. I have walked this trail in almost every season and they all have their rewards. Great trail. Well marked. Hiked with 2 small dogs. Nice views with little to no traffic ( early April). Nice variations in grades and landscape.

Terrific! Beautiful views, a great path surface, and a bit of elevation change every once in a while to keep you honest. This is a walk/hike that provides you with great water views as you walk in a forested area; a rare combination!

A lot of litter and some idiot with unleashed dogs other than nice trail. Will do again and next time bring a bag to pickup litter

Nice trail to view marsh and creek. Didn't see much birds during this trip but could be the time of year.

I love this trail. Make sure you sign the log book! Lots of solitude and great views. Switchbacks and elevation make it just challenging enough. I have slipped a few times on the leaves in the fall after rain, so keep your footing.

great trail!

had a great time!

Pretty easy walk, a lot of ups and downs. $2 park fee, make sure you go to the building by the water to pay before you go to leave.
