An easy and relaxing hike with some pretty views. It was 17km which is a lot of walking but good if you want to take your time and spend the day out there. Lots of water spots for the pup to play in!

It is a long trip taking more than 6 hours (with lots of photos). We saw lots of different mushrooms along the trail’

This is a great option to do before you head to the airport. It’s not very long and views are beautiful. However if you’re looking for a hike, this is not a hike you can do it in 15 minutes and it’s not strenuous at all

Great hike, beautiful scenery and a variety of terrain. Like others have said, it is long. Took my 14 and I about 5.5 hours. Time well spent though.

Did this yesterday (Sept 28) and it was a nice, easy hike. Nice views of both falls on the way up and the light dusting of snow made the trees look even nicer. Went a bit around the lake, the low cloud cover obscured the views of the peaks surrounding the lake but was still beautiful. We were the first ones to the lake and it was very still and peaceful. No wildlife sightings. Walking through the burned out forrest for a large part of the hike gave this trail a different feel but you can already see the regrowth happening.

Great, but long! might be too long for the kids(our kids were 4 and 6! they were champs, but there was some complaining! lol)

A nice quick walk with incredible views before we left for the airport. Actually the drive to the park is very scenic as well.

Very short and easy! Mountain views are great!

Wouldn‘t call this a hike! Very short and easy. Pools look cool, but I would definitely recommend to do the Pipiwai Trail next to it, which is even more amazing!

This is a steady climb all the way up with waterfalls on route. Most of the walk is through burnt forest (2017) but still spectacular and bears are easy to see. Once you arrive at the lake there is a 4 km walk around, if wanted. We were the first up today but passed 20 people approximately on the way down, but it is September. Could be busier in July/August. Take water ! Highly recommend.

Easy terrain, but good and long to go completely around Upper K Lake. I did this from the Interlakes trailhead- ie on the north side of U. Kananaskis Lk. Great day with only a few squalls and lots of sun. Very pretty from Pt. campground on. Hidden Lk. was very low and I could easily have made the trek along the lake and then on up to Mt Sarrail. When back onto the main trail I continued on around U. K lake- very busy from Rawson junction on and a bit tedious. That portion of the trail does have lots of good views of Mt. indefatigable and once back around to the part near Mt Everest commemoration hike, there is a great view of Waka Nambe. Want to go back from Hidden to Aster Lakes.

Worth the short hike. Easy overall.

Quick and fairly easy hike. Beautiful views!

Great hike. It really had everything. Great views all around the lake. Beautiful fall colours are out in bloom.

Long trail as some people said. Still nice and you can see beautiful scenery though.

The canyon is spectacular. Hiked in from the main parking lot and it took around 7 hours. A lot of elevation gain so I would suggest staying at the campground!

Hiked in from Forks Campground. Took 2.5 hours in, 1.25 hours out. Beautiful views. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Took about five hours to hike in, four to hike out. Climbed mount Putnik on the second day which is an outstanding, albeit extremely exposed scramble. Beautiful, well-maintained trail and campsites.

Elevation gain is nowhere near the stated 1200 m though. Reality is slightly less than 500. Steep section shortly before the three I’ll campground; other than that pretty easy-going the whole way. Highly recommended!

This hike is a stunner!!! The trail runs alongside ribbon creek making it very enjoyable. Most definitely recommend this hike!!!

Long, long trail. It's on the difficult edge of moderate. Equally good views from the beginning of the trail compared to anywhere on the trail. Some variety along the trail but the highlight was the river that leads into the lake. First half was misleadingly easy compared to the second half which is far harder.

Second time hiking to the falls and lake. the trail is in great condition. There is a small section of the trail above the waterfall that is harder to follow to the lake.

Nice hike, fairly easy compared to other hikes that are rated as moderate. Easily done as a day hike. Nice scenery.

Beautiful trail, you can see fews difference scenery and it was a long walk tho

Great scenic trail but very easy to get lost shortly after the waterfall with so many paths. We were lost for at least an hour and ran into another group that were also lost but we headed for the water and eventually made our way back to a trail.

Part of the trail was washed out. It took a little exploring to find the trail again, but at the tip was beautiful. Forewarned you will get muddy. There is also a way down to the river and the walk back along the river is beautiful. There are numerous places to jump in and see the natural pools.

Great little hike. Did it March of 2017. Lots of snow. Was quiet and beautiful.

Air quality still a little smoky in Waterton today but not bad. Burned areas are present over much of the trail but Bertha lake is still pristine. Burned forest areas are filling up with thimbleberries, colorful fireweed, and other plants and the views of Waterton lake and the surrounding mountains are opened up. Trail is very busy and it is difficult to get a photo without someone walking into it but I had no worries about bears or injury with so much potential help available so there’s the silver lining. Don’t let the burned areas keep you from doing this one. It is still well worth the trip.

So beautiful, even in snowy spring!

Great hike with lots of different things to see. Took a few breaks for pictures, lunch and enjoy the scenery. The hike is quite easy but the distance adds a bit of a challenge if you’re not ready. The area by the land slide is a little challenging as well so be prepared. Went and sat by the lake to cool off after we were done. Will definitely do it again!

Love this walk. Becoming one of my favorites to do. Lots of wildlife to be seen. Did encounter a bear in the parking lot 2 weeks ago. A really easy hike and can be done in 3 hours. Worth packing a lunch and taking your time. Enjoy the waters
