Beautiful trail! Accessible to everyone. BUSY and people are not as quiet or necessarily as respectful as they should be. You do need to reserve your parking space if you are thinking about driving over there. It costs $8. Loved that my husband could come with me. Hes not a hiker and he was easily able to do this. Gorgeous views.

It is beautiful here! We drove the loop which leads down to New River and let the kids play in the water. Great place for taking pictures.

Amazing, and a reverent, quiet kind of a place. We hiked the bridge 4 to Hilltop Trail, and it was a nice 1.5 hour leisurely hike...

Good accessibility for wheelchairs; incredible opportunities for redwood viewing

Easy walk through the huge redwoods surrounding you. It’s definitely busy and not as peaceful as one would like since it can be crowded and people aren’t as quiet as they should be. But overall gorgeous.

Always beautiful and super crowded. Love this place but the crowds and parking make it tough.

Had to experience this trail Saturday. First you have to reserve you a spot for parking its $8 . lot was packed and we came like 4pm. entry fee is $10 per person. nice scenes of large trees and views.

Beautiful!! The old growth redwoods are huge and magical. I wouldn’t call this a trail since it’s more of a walk. Perfect for older parents/grandparents, wheel chair accessible, path is a wood boardwalk for the first half and a well groomed dirt trail for the second half of the loop back from the ‘4th bridge’. There are many places to sit and rest. Come early! Like arrive at 8:30 am early! Get your required parking reservation online. There are tons of crowds and you’ll have to wait for a parking spot to clear up (even with a reservation).

Wonderful trail. Was just walking and saw a red fox.

Other than the first half mile which is on a gravel road this is a great hike with several vistas. I only did 4 miles out and back since the wind was blowing 25 to 30 miles an hour but it was still a nice hike.

very peaceful hike

Great warm winter day in Blacksburg. Started at the library and went through the route 460 underpass. Turned around and came back along southgate Drive. First outing of 2018. Many more to come. Saw a Carolina wren, cardinals, blue birds and a red tail hawk.

Arrived at the park first thing in the morning and barely saw anyone for the first bit of time that I was there. I'm so glad I took the recommendations to get there early, especially since I was able to actually enjoy Cathedral Grove in silence before the crowds arrived.

This is an amazing place to see the redwoods. Nice, easy, wheelchair accessible boardwalk all the way for a nice little stroll. It was a pretty crowded though.

I don’t rate this as a hike. It is a beautiful walk! Wish I had planned better for a full day in the woods. Too many people but we did a “side” trail and it was perfect!

The majestic Redwoods tower high above you. The creek runs along side. The planked boardwalk makes for ease with strollers, wheelchairs and winter footing. This is a very child friendly walk full of Redwood wonder for all ages. Go take a Redwood walk!

Easy trail for family day

Did this trail a few years back. Tracked 19 miles from Big Walker Tower to Crawfish Parking Area. This trail was once the A.T.

Pretty easy and busy trail. This was my first Redwoods experience and while I don't think it is the best, it was still very beautiful and worthwhile.

Nice and easy trail. Good place to start your hiking adventures as it connects to many other nice trails. Large part of the trail is accessible to wheelchairs and strollers.
