beautiful scenery, a few good challenging hills :)

my favourite if all hills trails. absolutely beautiful. i would rate it as the higher end of moderate due to hills and narrow paths. but its worth every bit of pain. closes 1st nov each year.

love this trail. done it many times. 2hr 35 mins from john forest car park. about 40 mins extra if you park by tunnel in swan view. great peaceful hike with beautiful spots. ive done it in pouring rain and walked through gushing water running down the trail paths and it was still beautiful. if you do it in winter with heavy rain just fallen bear this in mind and also about 7km in the track will be under water so you have to jump over a waterfall which is easy. wild flowers are beautiful in sept.

beautiful hike will be back next season

Saw kangaroos, lizards and cockatoos. The grass trees were magestic.

Casual Walk, some easy hills nothing to strenuous. Some nice river views, mostly bush.

Took a wrong turn so this ended up being a 9.5km walk. Thank goodness for the app which got us back on track. The walk is pretty tricky in places with rocky hill climbs. Make sure you have proper footwear and plenty of water. Some beautiful views....will definitely do this walk again.

Greats scenery and water pools. Quite a tough walk in places. Saw a tiger snake, so watch out now the weather is warming up! Signage is poor and we walked off the track for about 1.5km, so use the map.

fantastic walk, especially in Sept for wildflowers

Really lovely location for a hike. I found it challenging - undulating track and quick uneven trail paths. Lots of spots to stop and have a pause and check out the view or stop to eat. One of the harder hikes I’ve done. 2-3L of water per person would be wise.

It rained on and off but the rain made it was the forest even more beautiful. Decent amount of single track and the views from the platforms on either side of the Weir were great

Very steep climb at the beginning but well worth it with amazing views at the top. Signage is very poor. The phone app is a must if you want to stay on the trail.

Fantastic walk with great views over Perth, all the creeks where flowing, wild flowers in abundance and varied bush scenery.
Pretty much had it all.

Fine views east to the railway line and Swan River; west to Perth and the coastal plain. Many kangaroos. Some tracks are loose gravel, rock and gumnuts and fairly steep. Good to have the map on your phone as there are many alternate routes

Really nice trail with views of Mundaring weir. Some hills but not too difficult.

Great place to hike, steep in areas, be sure to call up first and book as they lint the number of entrants to the area. It’s a park reserve for protected wildlife, you’ll need a key code to get past the gate.

Lots of up nd downs, sharp climbing, kind of boring as there is not much scenarios. Decent outing. Good signage.

Great to fo clock wise then reverse for a good workout

Beautiful bush walk! WA does not disappoint. Didnt do the entire loop, cut through one of the bike paths called Jesus Loves You on the map here. It had the most gorgeous display of wildflowers. That was a highlight for me besides the pools ofcourse.

The sign posts follow a different path than this map. I went anti clockwise and found it an amazing hike. Avon river, rapids, climbing, wildflowers, kangaroos and scenic views from the top.

Great walk although the climb in the first part was quite steep but it was well worth it with amazing views at the top. Fantastic wildflowers in September! Great recreational area with BBQs & benches for a picnic after your walk.

Great place to spend a few hours. Some wonderful scenery and some challenges along the way

Amazing. I've trail run and hiked throughout the hills and this is easily one of the most spectacular. I would say it's lightly traffiked and a difficult course though. I ran it in 2 hrs but the average time taken in the sign in book was between 4 and 6 hrs!

Nice hike on a crisp winter morning, lots of kangaroos and bird life. Park gates open at 8am and close at 5pm. $13 entry for a car.

Good walk clear route challenging in areas for kids

Beautiful scenery very busy at the start but once we’d walked about 1km we hardly saw anyone as most people just seem to stay near the carparks next to the river. Signage is almost non-existent so having your phone to check navigation is a must.

Fantastic track with excellent markings. Took me three and a half hours. Some slippery and muddy bits plus a shoes off creek crossing but a really beautiful walk.

Lovely location, in a few parts there’s water to cross, so bring the correct footwear. Not hard but a few hills I had to carry my 2 year old up. Worth the trip.

Beautiful easy little trail to do in the peak of winter! In summer you don't even realise you are following a lovely river. in winter you hear the water running!
