This is a fun trail if you’re looking for a bit of a challenge! It was very very muddy when we went which made it real rough at times and the trail markers are not great and change colors frequently. We got lost a couple times and ended up hiking an extra mile. There’s a lot of horse poo but that’s to be expected on a horse trail. The foliage and trees are beautiful in the fall!

The scenery was wonderful. Well worth the time to explore, but be aware there are no real signs that show the loop or where the trails are at. It was fun to sort of make our own though.

This was a fantastic trail. Many waterfalls and beautiful places to see. The owners of the property were very accommodating and helpful. Their 2 dogs followed us for the entire 8 mile hike. They were so friendly and were a blast to have along. Would definitely recommend hiking this trail.

Beautiful trail on a picture perfect 65 degree, sunny day. All passer-by’s and fishermen were friendly. Excellent day.

Fun trail. I went clockwise and got lost pretty early on and agree that signage could improve a little. I cant wait to go back. I enjoyed the diverse ecosystems that you get to experience throughout the run.

This is a legit 10 mile loop, I absolutely love it. Minus one star only because there are some parts where you can inadvertently go off trail because of some rogue trails blazed by lost folks thinking they were still on the correct trail. Some signage at these junctions would solve this problem.

This trail is AWESOME! Lots of different areas to see. Some trails were steep and difficult but that's what we loved. Beautiful place. The owners are so friendly accommodating. The trail does have bathrooms and water stations but it still makes you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. We will be going back.

It’s a pretty easy trail. I like to do it clockwise and hit the ore pit trail at the end. Good overnight for beginners. Really like seeing all the creeks, lakes, beaver dams and such.

Did CANE TRAIL 1.3 mile hike beside LAKE TRAIL behind lodge. Add lake trail 1.8 extra miles moderately difficult combined trails equals really good workout. Moderately steep ascent 2 or 3 times Nice forest hike!!

Amazing blue water and I saw an unidentifiable amphibian in the damn spillway about 2 feet long with hind legs. Amazing!

Great day hike. Nothing too challenging.

This is a hidden gem in the middle of a suburb. Good elevation changes and scenery. Trail markings may not be the best but a great little hike and great for trail running . The bottoms are a little wet at times .

Great place for hiking, definitely get a stick to take down the spiderwebs. Also, wear plenty of bug spray, especially around your ankles. We stopped to fish a few times and got covered in Seed Ticks. Nothing 10 days of antibiotics can’t solve.

Wasn’t marked- couldn’t find trail to go under 133 from rockpile parking. Needs some serious maintenance and cleanup. A lot of trash - several alcoholic bottles lying around- campground looked like homeless camping... very disappointing... my mom and I both have hiked quite a few miles in Bankhead and Appalachian... this was sad... hopeful they’ll get it cleaned and marked.

Did this trail with my 5 and 7 yr old. We had a great time. Nice waterfall and view from the overlook.

My only complaint is the trail to cross over solid level ground rather than over the rock circle/retaining pond is not obviously marked. FYI, go left at the chainlink fence or you will disturb the efforts of some very annoyed fishermen... like I did. Also, when you reach the picnic area, the path picks back up on the other side of the pavilion in the tree line closest to the river.

I actually ran Rockpile and the paved Jogging Trail and back out Rockpile. Ended up being almost 6.5 miles. My puppers had a great time! Another side note, some other people did not have their dogs on leashes and would run up to me and my dog.

Really great trails. Really nice scenery. The owners of the property really take good care of the place and work hard to give a great experience to everyone who comes. They don’t charge a dime and just want people to enjoy the outdoors.

Beautiful hike. Well marked and fun trails. The owners were very nice and informative. There are a lot of different trail options so you can make it as long or as short as you want. I had our little guy with us so 1.5miles is all we did today. But that got us to the waterfall (just a small stream right now but really cool) and a great lookout point. We will definitely be back to cover more of the trail.

Took a trip here this weekend and loved it. The lady working at the museum was so friendly and helpful. Be sure to get a trail map, the number markers on the trails correspond to information boxes on the map. The trails and grounds were well maintained. Learned a lot, great historic trails. Only encountered a couple other hikers, so nice and quiet too. My pup also approves!

Fun hike with lots of armadillos & spider webs! Trail has a few areas where it’s hard to follow. The park seemed deserted. We only saw a handful of people around the park and met only one group on the trail.

Awesome trail great exercise and discipline ride for my gaited TN Walker she did great.

Very well-marked, well-maintained trail. Interesting battle history markers along the way.

The back trails are now well marked but the trails were clean and it felt like I had the whole park to myself. Dogs are welcome on the trail as long as they are on a leash.

Beautiful trail, there are several loops for all skill levels. Take the bottom trail to the falls, you can easily walk right up to the bottom of it.
