It was beautiful, but the trail was not well-maintained and we got lost multiple times. It would be much better if there was more than one trail marker. But, pretty!

it's a nice place. the trail is more of a path that is pretty wide and consists of gravel. I saw some deer on my walk, and there are some nice views of the lake.

This was a FUN trail. It was more like 3.5 miles total, from the parking lot to the paved trail, to the hiking trail, and on the paved trail back to the parking lot. There is a lovely little stream that you cross 5-6 times (it would be difficult to cross if it had just rained). Lots of rocks, cliffs, a shallow cave, interesting trees, deer tracks, and birds. Hiked with our 3 and 6 year olds and it was hard at times (rocky), but they finished and enjoyed it overall! We will be back!

it is a great trail, but it is 100percent a horse trail

Gave it a 4 due to the paved part. Not a big fan of pavement. If you like pavement it’s about 1/3 paved. Natural part was nice with all the fall colors.

We just got back from hiking in Colorado and wanted to keep it up here back at home. First time on this trail. So happy it’s so close to our home. Very well kept, marked perfect to decide which way you want to go and loved all the fall leaves. Can’t wait to get back out there with our bikes this time!! Would totally recommend!!

Really beautiful trail-- looks like it has been recently blazed in orange. Still found it difficult to find the entire loop. Trail shoots up the side of hills at various points and didn't feel very intuitive

One of the best in the park, poorly marked but not to hard to navigate.

Interesting area, but the trails intersect with service roads and are very confusing. Have been on it many times and can still get confused because of how the map is configured. Best to have pic of map on your phone, or plan on extra time. Trails are well maintained and area is very pretty.

Nice and easy trail

Great horses trail! pay 5$ to ride for the day, but well worth it. trails are nicely maintained!

just did the small loop. Not marked very well. Met other hikers who did the full loop and second half was marked much better they said. It was pretty but lots of poison ivy.

The only thing hard about this Trail, is trying to stay on it. I'm guessing you follow the blue markers, but they cross a bunch of yellow markers. It seems to be a little confusing. But as far as the trail, it's well-defined. The weeds are kind of tall, 3 to 4 feet in some spots, but the trail is still very visible. Nice area. Couple a really nice views by Hillsdale Lake. I'm interested to walk this Trail in the winter, so we will definitely be back. Also, there is a self paid $5 charge to park in their parking lot. There's a little stand to the right, before you come into the parking lot, that you pay $5 for a permit you stick on your windshield. So if you're going to park there, bring five bucks cash and be prepared for that.
This is also very much used as a horse trail, as there are horse stables nearby, so be prepared for lots of horse poop and some deep ruts if it's muddy.

If you like eating spider webs for breakfast and hiking through no mans land than this is the trail for you! There were so many spider webs that I ate more than I could count, literally had 4 go into my eyes and had spiders on me when i got back to my car

A fun trail. A few more trail markers would help but still a fun ride thru some tight fast sections.

This is my go to trail at Landahl, since I'm still fairly new to mountain biking. I do Family Trail going out and then Will's Wanderer (the actual trail name) coming back. They're not too hard but both definitely have some tricky spots. The trail was changed this year to make the end a little less challenging and to avoid some huge rocks. Dave's Maze is another great trail that connects to these two and is about the same level of difficulty.

I would really like to find the loop. we followed the trail until it went into the stream bottoms and then started climbing muddy bluffs. never have found the "trail" and I would love to know where the campsite is. I think it would be a great backpacking weekend with a campsite. if u know where it is please let me know. Kent@hubbardservices.com

Great trail for an easy walk. Go right from the parking lot and it’s 2.5 miles all the way around. Mostly shaded and wide gravel trail

Tons of spider webs!

Nice well maintained trail. Intertwined with disc golf 18 hole course

Great trail for horse back riding !

to whomever tried this trail and attempted it and didn't try hard enough to navigate it... your loss if you turned back. there is a full on camp site free to camp at and the small trail next to it is really fun hints the bluffs. the people who tried it do it again... you won't be disappointed. you can take the easy route with a bike to get to the camp site. ahead of that it's all hiking.

It’s a nice little nature trail to go for a walk, but me and my husband went there with our 2 year old and got so lost. There are several intersections and no signs or anything, so make sure you know where you’re going. But other than that it was a nice place to get out into some nature.

on this hike I encountered 2 copperheads on the gravel part of the trail. while walking on the dirt trail the was an extremely large copperhead hatchery that you have to walk through. the dirt trails are not well maintained nor marked.

Drove 30+ minutes from midtown KC to check this out and was disappointed. Poorly marked trailhead with tiny sign that is hard to notice from the road. Got all of 50 feet down the trail and went through at least 6 spiderwebs. Trail was overgrown and unmaintained, making it useless for a summer hike.
