good hike with pup.
nothing difficult

Basically just a walk on the road in the hills above Quechee, just ended up walking around the neighborhood, a nice moderately scenic hilly walk, certainly not a hike

Most of the Faulkner trail was closed (through mid-November). Detour took us on the Lowe Link trail. The detour was steeper than Faulkner but we enjoyed that even more. Beautiful views!

Our three kids 8, 5 and 2 loved this hike!

This is mostly a city park trail with a well marked trail. You hear the traffic from Woodstock during most of the hike. If you are looking for a wilderness trail, do not bother coming here.

on Quechee Gorge Trail

The trail can be accessed from the Quechee Gorge visitor center as specified on the AllTrails app, or accessible from steps right next to the bridge going over the gorge. The view from the bridge is great, don’t forget to see that as well. The path is wide and busy (at least on weekends in the fall). The path goes down to the river of the gorge if you head south. If you head north, you see the dam built, and the falls from the dam and then a natural waterfall.

Very fun, lots of switchbacks making it fairly easy and interesting. Lovely views at the top. Perfect for a fall day!

A good place for a walk and taking different ways to switch things up is also fun.

Before I started this trail, I kept wondering why people rated it so low. The trail was beautiful and it starts off with the lake. After you pass the lake, you get to enjoy a very vegetative trail (end of September). The issue comes when you reach the wooden bridge. There is no way of knowing where to go next. If you go straight, you hit the street, if you walk on what looks like a path in any direction, you end up nowhere. And that is why I only gave it 4 stars.

This was a nice, clean park. I only walked to the top of the auto road and back. It seemed like they had some cool mountain bike trails. Unfortunately, I didn't have my bike with me.

Definitely easy

Fantastic hike to start getting back into it.

It’s a short walk and worthwhile doing to see and smell all the wild flowers.

Uphill trail leading to a picturesque lake. Go to the right for more difficult hikes. Perfect for the dogs.

Great trail, we road bikes and would rate it easy as it is virtually flat from Canaan to Lebanon. Have done it multiple times, very scenic with great views along Mascoma Lake. Also have done from Franklin to Danbury, also flat with one hill at a road crossing. Great to see some seniors out on pedal assist bikes!

As mentioned, the main part of the trail is really a dirt/gravel walkway from the highway to get down to the more open section of the river where it is not always filled with much water. It's a nice little half mile or so walk downhill then back up but it's a minor uphill climb.

Pretty steep incline at the beginning. We hiked it on a 100 degree day, wouldn’t recommend doing that but overall it was a nice hike. Beautiful lake/pond at the top, our dog practically ran to the water!

Fun hike! My two yr old and I really enjoyed this hike. A short steep uphill to get to the lake but worth it. Then a nice hike around the lake with large boulders, lots of colorful mushrooms and neat trees and tree roots that look like something from the rain forest. Quite, only met one other person on the trail.

Beautiful view and nice uphill climb on the way in. My favorite in the area.

Easy except a few moderately steep parts. No trail signs so we took 1 wrong turn but used the app to figure it put. No bugs!

Up hill in the beginning . Nice hike

Nice quick trail run up to a beautiful view. Ran from Kimball Union to Plainfield Elementary to the Ledges and back and got 5 miles round trip. Followed the blue markings without any trouble (red at the top). Looking forward to trying more of the trails.

More of a walk to a view than a hike, but I'm no worse for the effort. Certainly a nice view from the opposite perspective looking up.

The best trail to walk if you’re looking for something flat that provides beautiful views of Mascoma Lake. I typically access it either by parking at the laundromat in Enfield or by parking in the lot on Ice House Road. Well used trail by many but in excellent condition.

Loved the trail- very easy walking as it’s used for Mt. Biking a lot however lots of little trails throughout and it’s easy to get turned around because trails aren’t marked the best. Only steep part is right before top which wasn’t bad at all for a complete 360 view. Hiked with baby in back- good for family and kids.

nice trip around the lake, fairly muddy in a few spots. super hot this weekend so other than some intense humidity and 90+ weather a great short trail run, just watch your step in the wet areas. looks like the kids were having a great time swimming!

Not a very scenic hike down but the view at the base of the gorge is very nice. Be very careful down there due to fast currents and the dam upstream can let out water with no warning. Very tiring hike up, nothing special.

Loved this trail for the first mile. After you have to walk on a road and then across a few busy streets. Very little to no shade coverage. At the trail head there is a Spector overflow that smells horrible!
