Not too long and very do-able! It was quite steep and tested your nerves right near the top where the bridge is, lots of steep steps.

I went with a group of 20-32 yr olds The young adults were my children’s age so you can do the math . Thank goodness I have been training in yoga and Pilates . This hike was challenging . Uneven stepping along the entire trail with the last 30 min , a constant climb up . I feel this trail was more than just moderate . We had a blast ! My group expressed how scared they were at the end when we got back to the van . I thought everyone was cool while hiking so ,I was also . The less you know the better . . I did get a photo of me out on devils bridge . Some of our group did also but not all. But they finished the hike and were thrilled in the end . SUCCESS!!

Beautiful views at the end.. Jeep traffic the first mile was unattractive.

Beautiful views from the bridge, other than that nothing too wondrous on your way up.

Great trail. Stay off the road. Ha! My recoding was cut off. I should have downloaded the map lol

The walk back to the actual climb is long, over a mile itself. If you have a 4x4 you can drive all the way back, otherwise you’re walking the first leg. The actual climb itself is narrow and daunting in some areas but you aren’t crawling up a rock. The view at the bridge is great!

Absolutely beautiful! The trail did get a bit rough, and was confusing in one spot. I had my older son go up to the top of the mountain, to look for more of a trail, but we really couldn’t make out where to go after a certain point.....around the 5/6 mile mark. We decided to come back down, as it was about 4, and we really didn’t want to chance getting stuck up there during the evening hours. Next time we will start earlier, and be more prepared. We are beginners, and new to Arizona.

We came to devils bridge via Chuckwagon trail which is delightfully easy and beautiful. Devil's bridge was incredible and totally worth the journey to the top where everyone helps each other get that perfect pic. 16km for the total trip.

So much fun...the sign at the bottom rates this hike as extremely difficult and I would agree with that as you are bouldering for most of it. Challenging but totally worth it...our GPS indicated 10km round trip.

First and foremost, it's free. I'll never pay to walk around in nature. Overall not too bad, though the increase in elevation can get a little steep at times, especially on some of the switchbacks. The terrain gets quite rocky in some places. Not sure if that is normal for this area, it's my first trail in Arizona. The views are ok, though there's not much to look at except scrub brush and cactus. And it's only 3.5 miles if you don't do the little out and back at the top. All in all, not a bad little hike.

Great hike, go early to avoid the heat. Amazing views once you reach the ‘bridge’. Could be a bit challenging to climb for some

Definitely a good workout climbing boulders and straight up in spots. Worth it once you are at the top. Parking at trailhead is a challenge

Completed this hike back in October and it is truly magnificent.

I had read previously about the parking and crowd. So we were the first to get there at the Long Canyon parking area just before sunrise. That turned out to be a great decision because we get to see the sunrise between the rock formations. The trail was rocky & offered much interest through a creekbed & fantastic vista points. Climbing up to the bridge and bridge itself were highlight for sure. Pay attention to where the trail intersects the wide jeep road so when you return from the bridge, you don't miss the trail. Good to have GPS and map since this was our 1st time there, and some parts on the rocky trail was not a clear trail to follow which way to go so early, without other people to follow.

Went there 2 days ago and loved it. We had rented a jeep, and it was worth it to drive almost 1 mile in and then hiked the rest. Came across a couple from Florida who walked the entire way, and the happily joined us in the jeep for the last park of the trail down. Lucky for them because it became very windy and dusty as we finished the trip.

Be daring and walk out on the arch (it looks worse then it is). We took pictures and had a good time with strangers we had never met.

Surpassed my expectations. The devils bridge arch is spectacular, but the hike in was much lusher and diverse than I had anticipated.

No hiking staff needed! You'll need both hands to help negotiate many areas, though you're not really "boulder scrambling"... it's more like climbing steep stairs for most of the hike. There are hand rails where you need them. I was glad I wore low cut, light weight hiking tennis shoes as it allowed me to flex and extend my feet for longer strides from rock to rock (ankle supporting, leather boots would have slowed me down on this hike, though that's what I usually wear for hikes). A Camelback (go figure) style hydration backpack is the way to go... keep your hands free!

Great hike with incredible views. It’s a challenge but definitely not as hard as the signs suggest. Most of the steep areas have hand rails. Parking is difficult, do it on a weekday if possible.

Gorgeous. Didn’t find it as hard as the trail head signage suggests. Lots of climbing, rock scaling, bouldering type hike versus just a walk.

Stunning! Drive in as far as you can if you want to save some time. The walk in is what takes the most time.

One of the most epic hikes in Sedona

Pretty easy hike. Too scared to go stand on the bridge though. My friend said it was wider than it looked. Awesome views.

Lost service and the recording! No! Lol good trail pretty fun climb and sweet bridge. Good hike/ trail run if you would. Shady with lots of cool views.

Last 200 feet were straight up but not too hard with the staircase design. The first 1.8 miles were smooth and steady ascent with wonderful views of the verde valley. We went on a Tuesday and it was still well trafficked. One of the top five hikes of my life. Highly recommended!!

Beautiful

A lot of climbing but the view is worth it!

Lots of fun, thought Cathedral was a little more challenging.

Pretty cool arch, but I know a better one in Sedona that had zero people at it.
