What a watery wonderland!! :-D

Do not go after 4:00. Be very careful bringing kids. It’s not an easy hike at the top. More like a climb to the cave. Takes about 2hours to get up if you are a non hiker.

This was an awesome hike! Totally enjoyed the climb!

I recommend starting early. This trail gets busy. It's a good trail for beginners. Beautiful views

When you get to the trail head it will fork off , go right! I have done both ways and the views are best when you go counter clock wise. Be warned you will have a nice up hill right off the bat that will keep you thinking " I'm I there yet?!" Once the up hill battle is over the hike will get easier. This hike will take you to beautiful views of Sedona. Also if you do the full loop you can see Soldiers Arches, Devils sink hole and Seven Sacred pools. Dog friendly hike as well :)

Great trail, the view was spectacular

Lived in AZ for 30 yrs and finally attempted this trail. All I can say is AMAZING! Add it to your list and make sure you take plenty of time to enjoy the views. It was challenging but very rewarding. Enjoyed every minute of it.

Awesome trail but definitely not easy! This is my first official hike, I don’t know how but I MADE IT TO THE TOP. A big shoutout to my group who encouraged me to do it!

This hike was the most challenging I have ever done. More rock climbing than hiking, really. Quite technical in many areas and not for the faint of heart. Nonetheless if carefully approached, can be successfully completed by those of good balance and reasonable fitness. Gloves are highly recommended as much of the “hike” required 4 points of contact. Though short in distance, long in effort!!

WARNING! The trail is great! Security for your vehicle is a 0! We had a great hike but when we returned to our vehicle the back passenger window had been busted out and two purses stolen. The parking lot was full all day with people hiking the trails and still the thieves managed to break in. When speaking with the Sheriff, they informed us that this has been a consistent issue at this trailhead.

My first AZ trail. Its about 60 minutes of gentle uphill with rocky path. A few steps where you need to use your hands for leverage. Great views of the desert and rocky canyon walls. Would do it again!

Busier than expected. Parking was a little tough, too. Only made it halfway--taking to many notes for a geology assignment.

First part of trail was near houses, and had 2 cattle gates, so not so great a view to start. 2 porta-potty's, no TP. Once you got along the trail a bit it was beautiful, but it's vastly more rocky on the trail than places like Usury, or Lost Dutchman, so you are forced to look down the entire time so you don't trip. Kinda ruins the walking part of the experience. Entire loop was 3 miles, but "distance" indicator above would lead you to believe it's 2.8 miles one-way. No waterfall at end; just a slow drip into a stagnant pond about 20 feet across. Pretty up there, and glyphs were cool, but just not a good hike overall due to the trail condition.

At the top are views that make all the strenuous breaths worthwhile. We had a beautiful day and met so many nice people along the way that the time flew by us. The climb up was a bit scary at times, particularly at the very top just before you reach your destination where there was a 6 foot rock face you had to literally climb. But, it is doable even though many people turned back. We were glad we challenged ourselves and were rewarded with awesome views. We also recommended once you are on top to check out the lesser peak for even more views and less people. The trip down was easier for me than my sidekick but my legs were shot so I used my arms to lower my body down most of the rocks. One last tip, bring gloves. I did and was so glad my hands didn’t take the brunt of the abuse from the rocks.

Pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon I wanted to get closer to take better pictures of the petroglyphs but lots of family with kids so I will have to return maybe during the week. Everyone was friendly and seemed to be navigating the trails comfortably, Tips there are port-a potty but had no bathroom tissue, bring water prepare to be to spend a few hours round trip I was there 3 hours

Beautiful not crowded!

Definitely hard trail. Steep at the end going up and down is rough with a lot of loose rocks. But the cave is amazing! Our family loved it!

This hike is NOT MODERATE! Starts out flat but as you progress to the cave this incline gets steeper and stepper, rocky and rockier. I can’t call a 45 degree incline moderate. But it’s worth the effort, great cave and view.

This trail definitely borders on hard. The last 1/2 mile will challenge you with large rocks and a steady incline. The reward at the end is incredible. As noted by others, park in the first lot you see once you hit dirt. There is another trailhead past the first lot. You will need to walk through.a gate that should be marked with a wooden sign. We had to secure the sign with some extra wire as it had fallen down. Other hikers told us they missed the sign and spent an extra hour looking for the cave. This trail is dog friendly but is challenging for them as well.

Nice wee stroll

A little busy for me. Plus a lot of people that were amateur knocking rocks loose that made me wary. Otherwise beautiful, diverse, difficult, and Arizona at its best. The crowd made it less than 5 star for me.

They view were spectacular and the hike was scenic. I completed this hike solo and found great difficulty in navigating it as the trail was horribly marked. I must have spent and extra hour or two trying to find the trail both on the way up and he way down. What can I say, I was determined. I will not be hiking this solo ever again. A group is recommended. I left my fair share of cairns to help those future venturers, if you could contribute as well, please do.

Quick easy walk with beautiful scenery...

Amazing hike. We found the arch and cave off to the left when hiking down soldiers pass trail. So epic.

Challenging, but worth it. Scenery from the top is amazing.

Took 5 hours from start to finish, that included half an hour at the top.

Nice and easy trail. Great for all levels and a great warm-up trail before a harder hike. Amazing views going out and coming back. If you can, make sure to climb the unmaintained trail at the end to get some amazing pictures over the tree line.

Great little hike with my kiddos ! A couple hours is plenty to enjoy. I recommend.

I actually got lost but the hike was great!
