To Do Map

Took the cable car up and walked the trails down. Today is sunny, and the views were amazing. Being an aged hiker, I normally prefer easy near flat terrains or going downhills on good established trails and this one is ok ( I hv done some trails that is also strenous to go downhill)

This app is hopeless, the maps won’t load even if you have pro.

Incredible hike! The whole thing is actually 32km long.. took me 6hrs to finish.. I confusing in some of the villages to find the right way.. I have the gpx file if anyone wants it.. email me at dagham67@gmail.com

Beautiful. Busy but it wasn’t so busy for us as we came in early September

This hike was a spur of the moment, the wife and I decided one morning to see how much ground we could cover. We are very active, in our minds it was fairly easy. There were some breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea but there was also a lot of time off the coast. Will do this again next time we are in the area, great way to breakup the gluttony of vacationing in Italy!

Great coastal trails with village stops!

Loved our day spent here. Beyond beautiful.

This is a beautiful stretch of coast all located in Liguria (not in Piedmont). Best in spring and autumn (but the sunsets in the winter may be magic).

Great views at top. Well worth a hike. Loop was 3hr trip

Very nice trail, with a beautiful view. We did it in about 2 hrs. There is a local restaurant at the bottom of the trail, where you can have lunch afterwards.

The terrain is manageable by most people. There is nothing technical or hard but lots of ups and downs and steep sections. There’s were some people wearing walking sandals but a better choice would be to wear athletic shoes and definitely not flip flops. Some might find it difficult if doing the hike in one day. We started in Monterosso around 8 o clock in the morning to avoid the August heat. Remember to bring lots of water on a sunny summer day as many parts of the trail are not shaded. We made 30- 60 minutes stops in each town then took the train back to Monterosso. We regretted not spending more time in each town. This was one of the most beautiful hikes we have done with lovely views of the sea and grape vineyards along the way. As we proceeded along the trails we were treated with gorgeous views of each colourful towns as they came into sight.

First hiking with this app. Great for following progress on the track. Track was harder than we expected especially around the summit. We had a 8 year old son with us.

We hiked the “E” trail because we arrived in the afternoon - it’s a 2-3 hour hike. Absolutely beautiful - hard to describe with words. A wonderland of flowing water, waterfalls, crystal clear blue water. Worth any time you can spend there. We hope to return some day to hike the whole area - an 8-9 hour experience. We hiked barefoot even on the wooden walkways. Otherwise, good shoes are recommended. We parked in parking lot 2 and started our trail after a short boat ride across the lake.

excellent and fun

Extremely photogenic park with a variety of hiking trails. We hiked programme "K" which was about 11 miles long. Get to the park early to avoid the crowds that peak in the afternoon. Here is my trip report with a bunch of pictures: https://backpackersreview.wordpress.com/trip-reports/croatia-national-parks/

Fantastic hiking trail! breathtaking views and you can stop in all the town's to explore along the way. great day.

Beautiful view!! It was a sunny day and we had some problem locating the trail head as we navigate around some local streets and asked for help. Glad we did this trail. We debated whether we should just take the cable car up. Definitely a must go trail in this area. Do bring enough water for a warm day as a big portion of trail was exposed to strong sun. Wear proper footwear will help. Uneven trail with rocks and pebbles. But the view is amazing. It took 3 of us about an hour up with some stopping for pictures. If you are fast hiker, you can do it in 30 to 40 mins. At the top you can get drink and ice cream, etc or have a snack or meal at the restaurant at the top. We ended up taking the cable car down as it was getting dark by the time we finished our visit. We enjoyed and recommended this trail.

Great 360 panaromic view at top of coast and mountain range.

Well trafficked trail easier going south to north. Otherwise mostly uphill. Gorgeous vistas of the towns, terraces and sea. Do stop to take photos along the way. Don’t forget water and enjoy a cold adult beverage with lunch when you get to a town. Go early for less traffic and lower temps. If you are too tired to hike back, take the train.

Most beautiful hike I've ever done, it's a long day but we stopped in every city to explore before continuing. Loved the cat sanctuary!!!

Wow. Wow. Wow!! If you’re in Croatia, this is a definite must. There are plenty of bus day tours to the park from Split and Zagreb, but I highly recommend spending the night at one of the many nearby chalet-style BandBs. The valley is GORGEOUS and will give you the time to explore the park at your leisure (and also see Slunj!).

I parked and began at entrance 1, doing the entire perimeter of the lakes including the upper lakes (the upper lakes aren’t included in the AllTrails map). This added up to 10-11 miles (ignore my recording; I somehow accidentally deleted my recording mid-trail), but 85% of the path is flat so easy-peasy. Don’t worry: you still earn your beer reward at the end! It took me six hours at a pretty leisurely pace with lots of breaks to take it all in and a ton of photo stops (thank Gawd film is a thing of the past).

Some tips:

- Absolutely start when the park opens (8am spring/fall; 7am summer). Why? Because of those “plenty of bus day tours” I mentioned. The park gets crowded, quick, and you want to jet ahead of the (annoying) single-file lines of tourists taking selfies.

- Wear hiking boots if you have them. You’ll be thankful for the extra grip and carefree slogging through the mud on the legit “K” trail portions.

- Pack your own food! There are a couple places along the paths to pick up coffee and grab a bite to eat, but it’s over-priced and low quality. Besides, you’ll want to picnic here.

- I did (and most do) the path counterclockwise. I read that going in reverse can give you some extra solitude, but I have to tell you... going against the crowds seemed worse than following in line.

- Enjoy! This is one of the most pristine places on earth!

Did this twice. It was amazing both times.

Great hike with my wife and kids. We hiked from Vernazza to Monterossa al Mare in March. Great views! My kids 11, 9, and 5 had a great time especially with the gelato reward at the end.

We started from Monterosso to Riomaggiore, a short section was closed when we hiked back in 2015. Beautiful hike through terrace of grape vines, scenic and colorful towns, churches, ancient towers. Great foods, yummy wines, and awesome experience. After completed the hike, the next day, we took boat trip from La Spezia to Monterosso, so we could see Cinque Terre from a far, spectacular views, well worth it.

Sections of the trail were closed when I hiked here in March 2016, so I only walked from Monterosso to Vernazza. I loved every bit of it. The colors of the water, the vineyards and terraced gardens, the boats, the sunny harbor and dark, narrow canyons of the village paths...
