A pretty scenic trail. enjoyed it!!

This is a very nice trail. I did both the Hickory Creek Trail and the Palmetto Pines Trail. 3 stars represents a good ranking. 5 stars are reserved for Grand Canyon trails.

good variety for any rider, ties in well for short or long rides.

This trail has lots of roots and tight curves. It follows the river to the primitive camp ground.

Nice walk, wheelchair and stroller accessible. Bathrooms only available at the start of the hike. Don't go during a drought. The water will be very low and dead fish will stink up the pond areas. Otherwise this is a great hike through beautiful Florida foliage.

Nice Boardwalk

My husband and I visited this park Aug 2018. Although we didn’t see any wildlife, except two turtles, it was a peaceful and enjoyable nature walk. Mostly all shaded. All wooded boardwalk. Note that no pets allowed and no jogging on boardwalk.

As a mountain bike trail, this is excellent, definitely 5 stars. For hiking, it’s really meant for biking so at times it feels redundant walking in loops. There isn’t a lot of shade so I would go as early as possible to avoid the midday heat. I did see a few folks on bikes and I moved to the side to allow them to pass. Everyone biking the trail was really friendly and didn’t mind me there but I was definitely the only hiker. This says 4 miles, I don’t think that’s accurate. I walked the entire loop and even some side paths in 50 minutes. There are some gorgeous views of the water and city that you catch through breaks in the brush. Most importantly, DO NOT forget bug spray.

A boardwalk not a trail, nice scenery. However jogging is not permitted.

I have been going to this trail for 10 years and it still ranks as my favorite! The trails are truly primitive and you have to pay attention to both your feet and your head! Some amazing lookout points and rarely another person on the trail makes it a trail runners paradise - I start running from the parking lot and get an even 5 miles of loop on my Garmin.

Very pretty park, and a convenient way to experience a Cypress swamp.

well maintained trails, nice place to go for a long hike in the shade.

I would recommend it to local hikers. Very quiet, lots of shade & staff very helpful.

loved this park. so it's really hard to navigate if you dont have a map because nothing is marked on where to go. I was alone so I had to have a map. (high anxiety on getting lost). there are several trails. you can walk the road which is 2 miles. the dirt trail is 2.5 miles. somehow i walked a total of 3.59 here. but it was nice and nature. nothing really extra that I saw. I like that you can get glimpse of both intracoastal and ocean. they have a restaurant which I ate at afterwards. fries are extra and they didnt tell me...be aware. very nice park. it says admission is $6 for cars. I was only charged $4. but maybe bc it was Sunday. $2 for pedestrians.

Beautiful

Great trail system and very well maintained by the VKBC. Love coming out here on the weekends and take in the views by the bay.

Fun trail system in the heart of Hialeah.

Parking is a little beyond where the "start" location is. Grab a map at the entrance; some of the trails might be flooded but there's plenty to explore as a detour.

Nice place for a long walk if you live nearby or are in the area!

This is a very serene place for a walk. there is a lit of shade and plenty of places to sit along the trails. the coquita trail that we took wad a bit sandy and made it difficult to push the stroller at times. make sure to wear bug spray and bring lots of water!

It’s a nice walk through the woods of Naples. Not hard at all. The trails and bridges are well kept and clean. You can enter greenway via the main entrance or by the airport. The main entrance is the prettiest.

Nice little set of trails. More scenic than I expected. Lots of wildlife - had a couple snakes dart out in front of me while walking.

A beautiful trail with lots of birds and other wildlife sightings. Views include ancient cypress and towering old citrus trees. Just one of several incredible trails within the Highlands Hammock State Park.

Work in progress.....VK used to be so much fun but unfortunately after the hurricane the trail was wiped out!!! Volunteers are doing a great job recovering and adding more trails.
We still visit whenever we can.

Nice early morning hike. We started out along the river and cleared the many cobwebs for future hikers. We only met four other hikers. It was a peaceful hike through natural Florida.

Went in June and would NOT recommend that time of year. The heat was unbearable. However, if the weather had cooperated, or perhaps if we had gone in the spring or winter, I'd recommend 100% Great place to get off the grid without REALLY diving deep into the backcountry.
