Cool view. With all of the electrical towers on top can be dangerous. Exposed wires. Lots of radiation. Had a major headache and stomach ache from being at the top too long. Would not recommend taking likes or dogs up there.

Loved it!

Very steep!!!! You’re basically scouring the cliff by using thin metal bars to help you up. If you’re bad with heights this is not the trail for you

Love it!

Really great views from the top. Although I agree this deserves a "hard" designation due to the steapness and iron rungs, it is quite a short loop. It took us under 20 minutes to reach the summit from the parking lot so we had to add a couple other peaks to our route to fill our time. A fun short hike.

The beginning of this trail is terrifying for someone afraid of heights! I froze on a ledge at one point, which was such a strange thing to happen to me. I wouldn’t do the hike again, but give it 5 stars for the challenge and the amazing view.

My 8 year old son and I LOVED this hike!

Completed this hike on a warm day in late December. There are two options in winter, the trail and the road.

I attempted the trail however the ice made it impossible without crampons. Taking the road is a very nice route although it adds some milage. 5 miles one way and 10 miles round trip taking the road.

Pack an extra layer for the top. Prepare for some wind and exposure. All in all its a very nice and beautiful hike.

Beautiful hike with amazing views! Challenging in some areas, but doable. We took a detour at the end and had lunch at the Jordan Pond House which made for a great end of hike reward!

great trail, too many people

Fun trail, beginning is super easy. Gorgeous views

Done this twice. Each time in the winter. Very hard but perfect for a day hike. 2:15 up and 1:45 back. Skipped the eyebrow trail each time which is now a regret. Micro spikes were necessary.

Beautiful views during this hike, especially if you go during autumn. I would highly recommend. Foggy days you can’t see too much when you get high enough, but a neat experience!

Gorgeous views! I did this Dec 1st...conditions were sketchy at best. Lots of ice on rocks from recent snow. Navigable but stressful.

Wild blueberrys everywhere

Wonderful views on this hike! I would call it rock climbing or bouldering instead! Such a thrill and adrenaline rush being on the edge of a cliff climbing high up. Some of the rocks and iron rungs were icy, so I would not advise this during the end of fall season. Dangerous but worth it! Would definitely do again in the summer time!

Up to the summit and back - thoroughly enjoyed! Good, but not overly challenging, hike for a pair of geezers. One week past the 'peak color season,' and the colors and views were amazing. Perfect setup for a couple of drafts and snacks at a brew-pub back in Bar Harbor.

My favorite of Acadia. A fun trail with the ladders and so beautiful.

A great hike with fantastic views and a fun climb. Just make sure you wear appropriate shoes and follow the instructions at the trail-head and do the hike in a counterclockwise direction, otherwise you end up blocking sections of the trail for people that are going up.
I would stay away if you're afraid of heights but, otherwise, this is a must-do in Acadia!

Killer winter Hike. Most definitely will be going back to do more hiking there! I highly suggest this hike to anyone looking for a solid day hike with great views at the top!

Enjoy!

I have always enjoyed this trail. A nice hike up along a creek between Dorr Mountain and Cadillac Mountain. You eventually come to and intersection where you can continue down the back side of the gorge Via the A Murray Young path or you can summit Door or Cadillac mountains. Nice trail to hike after there has been some rain so the creek is flowing.

Great trail with amazing views like others have said, however I'd note that it's best to take the trail up from the Loop Route, then up to Beehive Summit. With the ledges and iron rungs, It could be challenging to descend the eastern face from the summit

Ok so myself, friend and my dog. Only made it to the first marker today. Which by the way are to small to see, very hard to find. Once starting upwards, we turned around because of the ice. We decided to try again in the summer. We will be bad.

I went up the north ridge and down the south (no roads go near the south trail down, and you can catch a shuttle). Actually went up and down barefoot, and still did it all in under four hours. If you’re in half decent shape it’s a breeze.

On the way up cars pass very close by several times but that didn’t stop a deer from running across the trail! It’s really crowded on top, and as you get nearer there are lots of people who walked on from the road. It’s a bit lame, but not enough to take away from the hike and views.

I highly recommend going down the south side rather than doubling back. The scenery changes, I passed less than 5 people (and about 20+on north ridge), and it goes straight into one of the campgrounds.

Beautiful hike! was a little rough in places, but had a lot of beautiful stops to rest my legs in the way up. followed the blue markings and a beautiful stream. had to be careful because of the leaves and rocks were a tad slippery. amazing view at the end, very much worth the hike. ended up watching the sunset later on. amazing views!

Beautiful hike, good way to see a whole section of the island in one morning.

Did this trail in the evening when it was extremely foggy, I'm sure there would have been great views if it wasn't for the fog. A great trail otherwise, wild blueberry bushes are everywhere. You are following blue arrows painted on the rock

Incredible hike with and incredible views. Towards the top you have to hold on to rails that have been put in the rocks. I don't recommend this trail for people who are afraid of heights

Great hike up to enjoy the fall colors. Went up eye brow and down the AT, eyebrow wasn’t a must do and wouldn’t be a good trail to descend. Clear day up top on the fire tower, views were stellar- snow on top made it even better. Took longer than expected due to icy conditions but beautiful hike, another great 4ker.
