Fabulous hike both in good weather and bad. Steep and rooty trail

Hiked this last August while most of the park was closed from fire damage and smoke. Great reward at the end and saw 3 moose along the way, including a 22 point bull that walked across the trail about 25 feet in front of us.

Hiked September 2017. While smoke obscured our views, this was a great first hike in Glacier NP.

Hiked this last week ! Lots of snow the whole way up .Made it difficult to come down so we ended up sliding down ! After the first quarter of the hike , there was lots of ice, even with our micro spikes it was difficult ! But great if your looking for an adventure !

Went yesterday, easy to drive to and a great challenging hike in the snow. We didn't need snow shoes (we did see other snow shoe prints) but we're so glad we had microspikes with us. A little slippery going down, watch for frosted or ice covered rocks. Poles would've been a nice extra.

Great hike and view

beautiful

Beautiful.

Nice trail but compared to what is around, doesn't have the best views. Take the gps as there's alot of trails that cross over and the maps are sometimes vandalized. There is a section right up against the highway, otherwise pretty nice for a 2-4 hour walk

Love this trail!

Hiked to the lake today (mid-November) and lucked out with blue skies and milder temps just below zero. The snow starts lower down in patches with some accumulation after the half way mark. Micro spikes and poles very useful this time of year and bring layers for any weather.

Beautiful view and lots of space at the top make the end of this climb so very worth it. Tough switch backs at the beginning and evens out after 20 minute or so. Took some novice hiker (Friends) and they did great. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful easy hike, although the length makes it harder than a walk in the park.

This is not a hard trail, I would rate it as moderate.

Went on Remembrance Sunday. The first bit up to Cabin Lake is well maintained but steep. The path is icy in parts so be careful. I would recommend going via Black Mountain and Cabin Lake which I think is shorter plus Black Mountain has views of Howe Sound.

View is excellent!! Well worth the trip.

Steep uphill climb in the beginning was a great warmup to start off the trail. After that, the trail is easy and pleasant. Mildly trafficked on the Saturday afternoon we hiked. Spectacular view at the top

Hiked Nov 4. Snow from about halfway. snowshoes not required yet, but spikes a bonus over the boulder fields. Beautiful once the clouds cleared.

Great trail but don’t stop at Mystery Lake. Lots of things to explore in that area so hike past the lake and you will see some amazing viewpoints

Love this hike! We started the trail around 10:30 pm, so can't comment much on the views up. The trail is very easy to follow even by headlamp. It took 3 hours up with overnight packs. Mostly incline the entire way, but only the last km before the lake is technical, and a couple of rock fields. Look for marmots and pikas in the rocks! The lake and glacier is a gorgeous destination, but there are a few additional scrambles that are well worth the time if you like a challenge. Took 2.5 hours down and the heavy packs made going down more of a challenge than up. It's quite a popular trail, understandably so!

Really love this hike, so many fantastic views and when you make it to the lake it really is a mountaintop experience. We were so glad to be able to have the lake to ourselves. There is such fantastic energy up there. We experienced great stillness and awe. Late September, early October is a fantastic time to go. Wear a lightly insulated jacket and the weather is perfect. We encountered maybe 6 people in the 6 hrs we were on the trail. (We took our time, spent a good amount of time at the top and also stopped to take a lot of photos along the way.) it’s true, it’s not s very hard hike, just long. The beginning part is steep but it’s not bad knowing that it doesn’t last very long... it did hurt a bit on the way back though! We didn’t see goats, sheep, bears, or moose, (even with our binoculars out every other clearing!) but we did encounter two friendly deer and a small flock of female grouse. Since there was no one else on the trail most of the time, we clapped our hands before we went around any of the sharp turns in the wooded areas. Nearby trails were closed due to bear activity. Take your bear spray and keep a keen eye out in this area while you are enjoying the views!

Possibly my favorite of all the lakes in Glacier. The hike isn't particularly hard, and offers great views throughout including a waterfall beside the trail. Iceberg Lake itself is beautiful, nestled under stadium like cliffs.

Beautiful hike, even on a rainy day. I’d say the majority of this hike is easy with the last 3 km being more moderate and a bit of a scramble right at the end. Finished in 4.5 hrs. Highly recommend.

This has been one of my favorite trails for years. A beautiful ridge walk, a few easy scrambles and great peek through the eye of the needle just before the summit.

Magical spot. Short hike, about an hour round trip. Perfect after work hike during summer. Lots of little spots to explore and take pictures from.

superbe balade en foret avec bcp de lacs aux couleurs de l’automne. seul regret, le bruit de l’autoroute lorsque l’on admire la vue sur la sunshine coast

Really nice hike with nice views of Mount Garibaldi that will help to wait before reaching this stunning Watersprite lake. I would rate it moderate, only the end in the rocks is a bit hard. We manage to pass with a 2WD V6 Silverado but we were close to turn back because of a big crack at 6.5k before the end. The road to Elfin Lake is an highway compare to this. I'd say the drive to the trailhead is harder than the hike :)
