An easy hike, fun when you reach the stream, but hot and dry till you do. The trail crosses the stream 20+ times each way, so I plan on getting wet in advance. Extra socks and dry shoes in the car or keep sandals ready in the summer.

Nice trail but gotta pay for parking

This is a great trail. It’s not too strenuous but you will get a workout. The waterfall is beautiful! The trail is moderately crowded with lots of traffic at the waterfall so be prepared for that. However, for some stretches I was completely alone. Be sure to bring sunscreen/a hat/a long-sleeved shirt because it’s very sunny until you get down in the canyon itself. Once at the bottom it’s very cool with lots of trees for shade.

Also, TAKE P L E N T Y OF WATER!!!

was a good hike. went early morning loved listening to the birds. very peaceful.

Great

I'd definitely bring a hat, because you will be in the sun for most of the trail. The only complaint I have is that people do smoke pot at the waterfall. Also bring mid top hiking shoes if you want to walk in the stream of water.

Fabulous!

3rd time back awesome each time. people around super nice. be prepared to see lots of people there and people with loud music. please help the trails and bring a bag to pick up trash there are dirty people that leave trash not kool. but waterfall was good fresh and cold felt good. def will be coming back.

Ran the track in about an hour. If you haven't trained for uphills like me, the beginning will have your calves burning. Second half is mostly flat with a slight incline. Scenery is decent considering it's local.

A little harder to reach the falls than it seemed in the reviews. Very nice and interesting hike when you get further into the canyon and to the stream, but very crowded on a Saturday. Come early to avoid the crowds.

Beautiful but not very serene unless you like to relax with 100s of strangers.

A very beautiful hike, and pretty moderate but it does get crowded towards the weekend and other afternoons.

Crowded, but very pretty with opportunity to wade into the pool around the waterfall

Beautiful waterfall, the water is so fresh and cold... prefect after a hot hike up there. Great for nature and creek pictures. Also not too hard for children. I’m nursing a fractured ankle and was still able to manage it. There are some parts that are tricky but there is pathes near by that are easy. Went with my family and definitely going back again with friends.

I liked this hike. You should go early in the morning so there's not so many people. I don't like the fact that people bring their dogs and don't pick up their poop. Sure, it's nature. I still don't want to see a bunch of dog poop everywhere. If people don't want to pick it up then have your dog go behind a bush. Anywhere but the walking path please. It's also sad when people leave their trash. Other than that, it's a nice hike.

Great place for all begginers and experienced hikers. As far as wild life- butterflies everywhere, ground squirrels and plenty of small lizards. My 10 yr old sister had a blast in the water. We went on a Monday afternoon, plenty of parking, not crowded at all.

Found parking up front but lots of parking on a Monday near the school. Incline was something we both enjoyed as it was not something that lasted extremely long. There’s a part of this hike that is after you come downhill all the way, there’s a beautiful stretch of trees and foliage that made us both fall in love with the hike even more. There’s also quite a bit of shade that made the hike more enjoyable in comparison to Hellman’s Park (in close prox to this trail) that has almost no shade at all. Would come again because of the experience we had—there were also a lot of options for trails which was nice as well. Next time will try the Coyote Trail.

$6 parking cash only. There is a wells fargo close by.

Had a difficult time finding the exact trail (apparently this trail is not one of their trails... It was "man-made"..... That's what I was told) so we ended up just going on a random trail that offered a variety of physical challenges. I still had fun! Not much shade. Bring lots if water and snacks. We saw lots of squirrels and bunnies!

A beautiful hike if you can beat the crowds - i.e. go very early or avoid the weekends! Bring a trash bag and help us to keep this area clean, as sadly a lot of trash gets dumped over the weekend...

Good trail! Some decent inclines in the 1st section, then we hit shade and a cool breeze for a long stretch before another hill towards the end. We went in June on an 80 degree day. Make sure you have water and watch for snakes.

Heavy traffic on weekends during the warmer months but it has a good amount of parking. During the week you will still find a good amount of people on trail but I would say this is one of the most popular hikes in Los Angeles outside of Runyon Canyon and Griffith Park.

You have to cross the stream several times which becomes tricky after a good rain and there is a small waterfall at the end where you can wade in ankle high water but it will likely be crowded.
